Curious, will the Rey Solo enthusiasts still be fans of the sequel trilogy if it turns out she's not though? (I don't think she is, right now I'm guessing 50% Skywalker/50% Random). But Leia "adopting" her as a surrogate daughter would be cool, she's way better than that brat she has for a son I don't really have a horse in the race either way, but I wonder what the reactions of each fans will be depending out the outcome. Rey Skywalker or Solo = Reylo fans upset. Rey Skywalker = Rey Solo fans upset. Rey Solo = Rey Skywalker fans upset. Either way Pablo is getting flamed for the next four years
Didn’t make the cut for the #starwarscelebration art show, but this was my concept. Thought you guys would like to see. Enjoy! # Leia #princessbride #hansolo #bensolo #kyloren #c3po #starwars #amomentintime http://jenndepaolaart.tumblr.com/post/154406074075
Omg, that's gorgeous. I was disappointed with the art at Celebration this year but I definitely would have bought that. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
Carrie Fisher suffered a heart attack on a flight from London to LA. Here's hoping our favorite Princess makes a full recovery. http://www.msn.com/en-us/movies/new...-flight/ar-BBxvlGY?li=BBmkt5R&ocid=spartanntp
Our fandom sure has hit upon hard times, and there seems to be no end to it in sight. TFA and all that it did to ruin the fairy tale romance, to Han killed, to the most tragic off all, Carrie's death. I'm still trying to wrap my brain around Carrie being gone forever. It just doesn't seem real. It used to be easy to find uplifting blogs/articles about our favorite couple, but most everything these days are about how wrong they were for each other, or how their bad parenting turned their son to the darkside. Even the fun tidbits in the new EU seem to come attached with a downside to it. Either Han and Leia are apart for great lengths of time, or Han and Leia are fighting with each other. It would be nice if we could get something that had only an upside to it. Something cheerful with no darkness to it at all. A fun, little, carefree story. Even a short story would be nice. All this constant doom and gloom is reminding of the dreadful NJO that seemed to go on forever before we got any pleasant H/L material. Maybe Empire's End will fill the bill, and Han and Leia will be be together and all conflict will be external. Anyway, a little cheer has emerged among all the mud our favorite couple seems to be stuck in. A very important research project was conducted on what are the top 50 movie kisses according to the general public. Here are the top 10 1. Titanic (kiss on the front deck of the Titanic) 2. Lady and the Tramp (kiss at the restaurant) 3. Ghost (Sam kisses Molly before he passes over) 4. Pretty Woman (on the fire escape) 5. Dirty Dancing (kiss at the end) 6. Bridget Jones's Diary (Bridget kisses Mark in the snow) 7. Spider-Man (when Mary Jane kisses Peter Parker upside-down on the roof) 8. Breakfast at Tiffany's (kiss in the rain at the end) 9. Gone with the Wind (when Rhett Butler kisses Scarlett O'Hara and says 'You need kissing badly') 10. Star Wars Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back (Han Solo and Princess Leia's kiss) Even though Han and Leia were beaten by two dogs eating spaghetti, they still made it into the top 10. Here's a link to the full list. http://www.digitalspy.com/movies/ne...itanic-kiss-tops-poll-best-ever-movie-kisses/ Here's hoping we get something that's truly 'delightful' in 2017. We've been here for decades and a fraction of us H/L fans are still waiting around for something to make us smile without any doubts, regrets, or sorrow.
Do you guys realise that the last actual "happy ending" SW we had was (like it or not) was TPM? (An award party) Since AOTC every SW ended with sadness, something done in secret ( like hiding Luke and Leia) or just plain edgy? ( Leia escaping on the Tantive 4 or Luke looking he may reject Rey). Call me old fashioned but is SW really supposed to be about being grey? I miss my true Heros AND Villains.
Amazing. I saw this fanart and the tears started flowing down my face. Return to Alderaan by Weston T. Jones http://westontjones.tumblr.com/
My apologies if this has been mentioned before, but I've never seen it. The conventional wisdom about ROTJ is that the final line of the movie (and therefore the final line of the entire OT) is Leia's line, "He's my brother." But I don't believe that's true. It's very soft and subtle, but if you're really listening for it, at the moment Leia put her hand on Han's cheek and turns his face towards her, you can hear her gently saying, "Han." For some strange reason, it seems easier to hear in the original version of the movie (if you have the DVD that was released in 2004 as a bonus disc). I think perhaps the jungle noises got a little louder in the special edition versions of the movie. Anyway, if you want to judge for yourself it happens around 1:11 in the video: So it seems the final line of the OT was not "he's my brother" but Leia saying Han's name very tenderly.
And to think those two will get married and have a child soon after that. And now the Princess and her Smuggler will probably be reunited in the Force. I miss Carrie so much. It still feels so surreal.
