Every time I see the Wookiees, their always either helping the jedi or defending, besides some wookiee the kotor series, has there ever been any rather devious wookies?
From Legends, Weebacca and Hanharr as well. Edit: Oh, I missed the line where you were already aware of Hanharr.
Also http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Tojjevvuk and http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Snoova as well as several Wookiee Mercs and Goons
In Legends, the "madclaws" (those Wookiees who lost their honor by using their claws in battle) were typically cast aside. What if there was a band of madclaws living together (or, at least, trying to live together without killing each other) somewhere on Kashyyyk?
There was a short story published in, of all things, Prima's strategy guide for the old Galactic Battlegrounds game. Pax Empirica was about a Stormtrooper platoon manned almost entirely by GeNode-flavor clones getting their world rocked by Wookiees in the finest Viet Cong-vs-US Army tradition and had some pretty interesting stuff about Imperial-era cloning to boot. Always wanted to be able to read it for myself but it's been pretty hard to locate a copy of the book.
One source - though I forget where, I'm sure it's on the Wook - mentions Wookiee pirates menacing part of Bothan space.
In Dawn of the Jedi, Wookiees were illegally poaching and cutting down trees on one of the planets in the Tython system.
Well, in the KOTOR games, there was the faction of Wookiees that were allied with evil corporate interests....
Just replace the head here with a Wookiee, and you're good to go. Evil Corporate Wookiee overlord enslaving his own people in Rebels/Rogue One, or outsourcing them for First Order construction projects in the sequel trilogy would be a bizarre, but unique, idea. Such a character would not see Chewie as a hero, but hold him in contempt for being a lowly smuggler, and would declare life debts as superstitious primitive Wookiee nonsense (but have no problem exploiting others' adherence to them for his own gain).
I just watched "Django Unchained" last night and am now picturing a "house Wookiee" villain who enslaves and mistreats his own people in the service of their masters, while secretly being the mastermind who runs the whole show.
