Green sure did a number on Siana, Michael, and Tess. Not even Antaran Jedi are invincible.

    Darn, missed something else:

?A criminal taken into custody on a Jaffa world. We bring her to you for whatever justice you see fit.?

Boo hiss. I did not like the way that encounter ended. Hopefully they will be able to heal one another if they don't seperate them. I seriously doubt they will be killed off this soon, so therefore I am assuming that they will be held for ransom or something like that. Good chapter. keep'em coming.

I always had a feeling that, in the mirror universe, the Terran Empire was born out of a war in which Phillip Green had emerged victorious; given his sentiments about human supremacy, it certainly seems possible. Great job once again, and if you have a PM list, could I get put on it?

    VaderLVR64?No worries!

TigerofRobare? He is a bastard and a zealot. The worst enemy one can have.

Jedi-2B?When I was finishing up this chapter I went back and realized I failed to accept some of your other suggestions from the previous chapter. All me.

Dajohu?I?ve never been a fan of stupid villains. I figure for a villain to really be a threat to intelligent protagonists, that villain needs to have his/her own set of skills and talents. Green at one point ruled much of the world in ST canon, so some of that brilliance had to shine here. I just temper it with fanaticism.

Excellion_Razor?I?m sorry you didn?t like the turn of events. Gotta keep the drama flowing. You know there?ll be a rescue, though.

Jedi_Aurelan_Carter?Dajohu knows all about my cliffhanger tendencies from my Superman/Star Wars cross Legacy of the Red Sun, which is wrapping up pretty soon.

FVZA-Colonel?That was always my thought as well. I read an incredible Star Trek book that unfortunately ended up being contradicted by Canon talking about WWIII and Zephram Cochran. Too bad the movie makers went away from it, it was better than anything in true canon for ST.

PunkMaister? You know I won?t kill my heroes so early. In fact, I even changed the upcoming chapters a bit to bring another in just for you. Really.

Chapter Forty-Six: A Knight in Shining Armor

Ruby Valley Commonwealth Relocation Project, Nevada
Thursday, August 31, 2006 (4 AD Commonwealth Calendar)
    1:24 a.m. MST

Delvin Ostrael sat up gasping in his bed.

The apartments the Terrans had provided Ostrael and most of the rest of the former Imperials were luxurious compared to living on a star destroyer. His one-bedroom apartment had almost two hundred square meters of living space with a water-fed refresher and a nice kitchen and dining area.

All the furnishings were provided. Ostrael owned nothing, save for a small chest of belongings he brought with him from the Dragon?s Claw.

He climbed out of his bed and walked into the living room, where the sliding glass doors onto his balcony afforded a tenth-story view of the surrounding valley. The area was at once stark and yet also beautiful. It reminded him in many ways of his home world of Dreylan.

For some reason, though, when he looked out over the landscape, he did not see memories of home, or even of Ruby Valley. He saw blue hair; blue eyes. He felt pain and terrible danger.

Ostrael was not a Jedi. He did not really share the Jedi philosophies of the Living Force. But he was strong in the Force regardless of its philosophical bent, in ways the Jedi would never have known.

The problem he faced now was that nobody knew of his true mission. He kept his lightsaber hidden inside a statue that was actually built for just that purpose, with an internal lock that could only be accessed with the Force. Not even Captain Shintre knew what he was. His orders had come from the Emperor himself.

?Watch these Sith, Delvin,? Emperor Roan Fel had said to him before the Dragon?s Claw was commissioned. ?I sense they will be a greater threat even than the Jedi.?

The Emperor was right, of course. Almost as soon as the Jedi fell, Darth Krayt had moved to overthrow the emperor. Now that Krayt was dead, however, who knew what the state of the empire was.

His primary loyalty as an Imperial Knight was still to his emperor, and his primary duty remained the same?to safeguard the Empire and spy on its enemies.

But now, so far away from his home, for the first time in his life he felt those loyalties challenged. Earth was not an enemy of the Empire. No one in this galaxy really was.

Somehow, he knew that Siana Delun was in trouble and needed help.

He sighed deeply and walked to the primitive communication device his apartment was provided with. He lifted the speaker and pressed 0.

?Ruby Valley Relay,? a friendly voice said in English.

?This is Delvin Ostrael,? he said with his still thick Basic accent.

Yet another superb update! I'm always glad to see your stories updated, even if I AM a bit tardy in reading the new posts. [face_blush]

Force or not, Siana did not need power to see the insanity in the man?s eyes. There were no words she could say that would change his course.

?Then enjoy it while you can,? she did say. ?You won?t have long to enjoy our deaths. This world will not tolerate your kind any more, Green. The Commonwealth is already mustering forces against you.?

?It doesn?t matter,? Green said. ?Let them come. When they do, I will see them, this city, and the whole damned continent burned. Let?s see if the world can survive another Doomsday!?

He turned and strode out, leaving Siana wracked with pain from her burns, and terror for what the madman held in store for his world.

    Wonderful! =D=

Nothing worse than a monster who thinks he's following the will of God. I predict two or three chapters before Green begins to think he is God.

Another good chapter. Light on the action but good stories are built on a solid foundation. I did not mean to imply that I didn't enjoy the last chapter, to the contrary I enjoyed it immensly, but I don't like this fellow Green. What a coward. There is always a rotten egg in a postion of power. Now that his power has been taken from him, his goal is to destabalize the new gov. and remake the world in his God's so called image. What a peon (sp?).

Somehow I think that serum may come in handy when dealing with the Priors and especially with Adria when she finally and inevitably emergers although I'm intrigued as to just how is that too happen in this AU. in the original timeline Vala got impregnated by the Orii when she was beamed by a transport ring thru the microsingularity they had created to power their at the time failed supergate. That is obviously not the case here, anyway this was indeed another superb update and I can't wait to see what happens next especially now that Darth has told me he is got a few surprises in store! Keep up the good work man! =D=

    Dajohu?I?ll try not to disappoint.

    VaderLVR64?Thank you!

TigerofRobare?I?m not sure Green will ever consider himself to be God, but he certainly thinks he is an honored servant of God.

Jedi_Aurelan_Carter?He definitely has some psychiatric issues. He talks to God, and God talks back telling him to murder people and conquer nations.

Excellion_Razor?Appreciate it. And I think my response was a bit vague on the last one. I knew exactly what you meant, sorry to imply otherwise ;) And you?re absolutely right about Green?his sole goal now is to destabilize the new government.

Talon_Kenobi?So do I! I?ll give this to Delvin, though. Where Siana was just a kid and the others really are too, Delvin is an experienced trained soldier in addition to being a powerful Force User. If anyone can get Siana and the others to safety, it?ll be him.

Jedi-2B?See, I respond to my readers, especially my Beta. But I?ve gone back and made a couple of changes for readers since I?ve started. So far it?s all worked out great.

PunkMaister?Believe it or not I did get Vala back involved, at least to a certain extent. I hope you continue to enjoy!

Well, a lot happens in this chapter. I hope you enjoy it!

Chapter Forty-Seven: Fingers in the Dike

    UECS Daedalus
Saturday, September 2, 2006 (4 AD Commonwealth Calendar)
    12:14 a.m. Universal Time

Admiral Jack O?Neill and Jedi Master Kyle Katarn sat in the rec room of Earth?s most advanced space-based command carrier and played checkers.

Someone who didn't know either man would have thought a fleet admiral and Jedi Master would play chess. After all, chess is a game of intricate strategy and thought. It was slow and deliberate. It was in complete contrast to the personalities of the two men currently playing checkers.

    ?King me,? Katarn said.

Jack grudgingly put the king on, then saw an opening and secured his own king.

?So what?s our next step?? Jack asked. ?We can?t keep putting fingers in the dikes forever. We?ll eventually run out of fingers.?

Kyle nodded and looked over the board. He moved his king behind one of Jack?s lagging pieces. ?I?ve been thinking about that. But for some reason, I can?t get the Antarans out of my mind.?

Jack moved the threatened piece. ?They sure did a number on the Gao?uld and that Star Destroyer of yours. I understand the Dragon?s Claw killed a lot of them, but they still showed pretty strong.?

?Thor said they are only a few generations behind the Asgard in technology, but many, many generations more advanced physically. Their powers are impressive.?

?Yeah, Sam was telling me,? Jack said. ?King Max changed you, right??

Kyle hopped over two of Jack?s pieces. ?King me. Yeah. It?s changed me. I would never have been able to kill those Priors the way I did if it hadn?t. The Antaran energy in me is acting like an augmenter. Every time I reach for the Force, this energy takes it and strengthens my hold on it. It?s exhilarating and a little frightening.? He leaned forward until his back popped. ?If I went back to my galaxy, I would be the most powerful Force user in the history of the Jedi. Then Siana. Then Max and the other padawans. It?s almost as if the Force itself is trying to give us some balance against the Ori to make up for our lack of numbers.?

Jack took one of Kyle?s kings. ?So, you were thinking about the Antarans??

?I was thinking what a great ally they would be,? Katarn said.

    ?They don?t like us.?

?From what I understand, Kivar doesn?t like us. But there was a pretty significant base of support for the Royal Four, enough of one to continue a civil war for decades. It may be time for Max to step up and deal with Kivar.?

?Interesting,? Jack said, then he watched as Kyle showed the loss of his king was a trap that took out all but one of Jack?s pieces. ?What do you think Max is doing right now??

?Probably trying to save Siana, Michael and Tess.?

    Jack leaned back, eye

Just the other day I finally saw the Stargate episode where Anubis has an army of 'supersoldiers.' I didn't have time to go back and reread all the earlier chapters, but is this where Green got his 'powersuits'? Or are they just coincidentally similar?

I liked Green's 'disarming.' A fitting end, indeed.

He brought his arm up to hit the control pad. Ostrael?s blade erupted in silver energy and flashed across the three meters separating them to take Green?s arm off just below the shoulder. The blade instantly cauterized the wound. This happened in the space of the second it took Green to lift his arm to the pad.

Recognizing what was happening, Max lit and threw his saber as well, removing Green?s left arm just above the elbow. The stunned colonel collapsed to his knees as the blood fled from his face.

He screamed as the three Jedi ran at him, recognizing that he had nothing left to end his life and the world that had betrayed him.

As quickly as that, Colonel Green?s war to conquer the Earth was over.

I LOVE stuff like that. It's more realistic, don't you think? Sometimes death just pops up and it's all over! :p

Superb! =D= And yes, he deserved an ending just like that! [face_mischief]

Initialiy I too thought as you did but sadly no since this starts much earlier than all that in the original timeline. The suits are from Trek (I would have loved to see the Kull warrior's armor at play for sure though) And yes Green's disarming was an extremely fitting end for such a cowardly bully. Well now that that's over with let's see how they get to train the vast numbers of Jedi potentials they now know they got before the Orii do arrive in enough numbers to threaten the whole galaxy and Earth itself!
Looking forward to the next chapter, keep up the good work Darth!=D=
