that supports burning .wma's. I've ruled out ezcd creator, nero, and musicmatch jukebox.

Just burn from Windows Media Player if you want .WMAs. And, by the way, MusicMatch supports 'em.

i don't know what version of music match you're using, but mine doesn't. And windowsmediaplayer can kiss my rear, it don't work worth a nickle except for ripping cds.

Just out of curiosity, why have you ruled out nero?

    It's an excellent burning program.

If you want to create a standard audio cd from .wma's, I believe you can run them through winamp's diskwriter output plugin, load the .wav's into nero, and burn the cd.

If you just want to burn the .wma's as a data disk, nero certainly supports that.

I'm not sure that there is a burning program that supports converting .wma's on the fly...

Why are you ruling out all these others immediately? I can understand EasyCD, because it's a tad expensive. But Nero is a great burning program and is only $49.

BTW, Frank, I just tested .wma burning on EasyCD 5 Platinum, and it does convert WMA's on the fly in XP. I was told that XP also uses the Roxio burn engine, so I guess that would make sense.

I use Roxio and my wife uses Nero. They work just fine. I'm not sure what kind of problems you could be having with these particular programs.

    Nero works fine for me.

Why have you 'ruled it out'?

"BTW, Frank, I just tested .wma burning on EasyCD 5 Platinum, and it does convert WMA's on the fly in XP."

I stand corrected. EasyCD 5 Platinum is a bloated piece of garbage, IMO, so I hadn't tested it out very much.

    I love CDRWIN.
If only it loved my CD-RW drive. I'm testing Fireburner right now for burning VCDs.

saerah, if fireburner doesn't work out for you, download the XDuplicator GUI and CDRDAO. That combo is a great freeware alternative for burning .cue/bin files. :)

Thanks, FP! I'll make a note of that. When I upgraded to Win XP Pro recently, Prassi Primo stopped working for me correctly, so I've had to find new software to burn VCDs with. :)

No problem. Also, if you haven't done so already, I'd suggest that you download forceASPI to update your aspi layer to version 4.60.
