    Does anybody here speak english?
If so, do you also speak Russian?

    I need to translate something.
There is no Russian board and you all are close to Russia, right?

How do you say this in Russia:

    Merry Christmas

All of us speak English. I'm not sure about the others, but at least I can't speak Russian at all.

I tried to find something with Google, and found these:

"S nastupaiushchim Novym godom i s Rozhdestvom Khristovym!"
"Pozdravlyau s prazdnikom Rozhdestva i c Novym Godom!"
"Pozdrevlyayu s prazdnikom Rozhdestva is Novim Godom!"
"Pozdravlyayu s prazdnikom Rozhdestva i s Novim Godom!"

Can anyone else say which one of these is closest to the correct translation?

Yeah, it's pretty unlikely that one of us would speak Russian too.

Anyway, interesting point that Russian doesn't have it's own FF. Weird. :/

I could ask either of my sisters - if I only could find them.

//the one in the middle is not correct

We want to be able to talk about different things so that nobody else could understand anything. And no, we're not speaking about other JCers behind their back.

Finnish is our native language and we always speak Finnish to each other. English is taught at school, but used very rarely in real life in here. But when it's necessary, we can switch to English easily.

"S nastupaiushchim Novym godom i s Rozhdestvom Khristovym!"
"Pozdravlyau s prazdnikom Rozhdestva i c Novym Godom!"
"Pozdrevlyayu s prazdnikom Rozhdestva is Novim Godom!"
"Pozdravlyayu s prazdnikom Rozhdestva i s Novim Godom!"

All of these translate into: wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year , it just depends how you want to write it, it's hard to write Russian without using Cyryllic writing.

Just plain Merry Christmas is: C prazdnikom!
At least I think that's it. I haven't studied Russian for a while and I was never any good at it. Hope this helps :)

Great :) At least someone can speak Russian.
I hope that Larena_Jade still keeps reading this thread and gets this info.

EDIT: "I'm actually from the Polish FF"
I knew that, but was too lazy to mention it.
