No Tali confirmation any which way?

I suppose I shouldn't worry too much since I'm pretty sure the ensuing fanbase explosion would be tremendous, but still...[face_worried]

From what I hear there's already been a huge outcry in the BioWare forums concerning Tali's lack of confirmation [face_laugh] But hey, Mass Effect 3 is still a ways away so anything could happen [face_peace]

Wow...that scan of Ashley makes her way hotter than I've ever seen her. I am now thinking that I might need to keep my options with her open. ;) Maybe it's just that she actually is dressed well for a change in that picture...and she let her hair down.

Speaking of letting hair down, I am thinking this playoff beard was not such a good idea.

I was just thinking, maybe I shouldn't kill Kaidan after all. [face_thinking]

Killing Kaidan was my default mode. :D

Speaking of which, Sarge, font of ME knowledge...what's the default ME2 setting? Ashley dead or Kaidan dead?

    I know this one! :p

It depends on the gender of your Shepard. FemShep = Ashley dead, BroShep = Kaidan dead. This is despite the default ME2 Shepard being romance-less.

Bleh, stupid cold [face_skull] Caught the damn thing yesterday and when I'm not suffering through work with it I'm sleeping the day away :p Hopefully with no work tomorrow I'll be fine and dandy enough to get those updates going [face_praying]

I definitely think my favorite romanceable character is Liara but I think that's because Lair of the Shadow Broker had been too much fun :p Funny story though; when I decided to make my latest game with my Vanguard, I had been intent on reromancing Miranda since my last game where I romanced Miranda I got the Normandy crew killed cause I didn't know any better [face_skull] Its only when I got to Horizon, however, that I realized that I selected an ME1 save where I apparently romanced Ashley despite not remembering doing so. At first I was like "Fuuuuuuuuuuuu-"

And then I read the ME3 article and saw the new Ashley. Now it wasn't so much "Fuuuuuu-" as it is:

    [face_laugh]

On another note, anyone get the Epic Edition of Bulletstorm? The Gears of War 3 multiplayer beta is now available to those who had purchased it. For those who just pre-ordered Gears of War 3, however, you'll be able to play the beta on the 25th (It ends on May 15th). I, in fact, have not yet pre-ordered Gears of War 3 and its only with the coming of the beta that I realize that I should probably fix that mistake :p

    [image=http://www.gamefront.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Gears3-517.jpg]

Its been a while since I played the Gears games so I think I will take the opportunity to brush up on my skills [face_skull] Get back to the curb-stomping and chainsaw dueling...and we also gotz womenz with gunz in this one

There are way too many romance options. I was going to use one of my saves to kick Ashley to the curb, but now I'm pretty much with Scottish dog on this one.

Speaking of the crew dying, I finally took the time to finish ME2 (the Phoenix Coyotes getting their butts whooped--again--by the Red Wings helped that decision) and had all my loyalties and everybody comes through all right and I'm thinking, "Yes! No One Left Behind achievement here I come!" and then all of a sudden it turns out defending the door Mordin didn't make it through and I'm all, "Wha what?" He was totally loyal...right? I mean, I got his special power and everything. And I liked Mordin! He was fun! And surprisingly useful at times. So now I'm confused as to how that happened.

Also, the whole gender thing makes total sense on which one survived.

Mordin is more or less doomed unless he's the one you have escort the prisoners back to the ship - he brings down the defense score of your door holding party too far to recover.

Basically the game forces you to take a Bio and a Tech on the final fight, or somebody dies.

Aaah, Mass Effect. I took two soldiers (Shepard and Grunt) and a Biotic (Miranda) and all survived. Might have been lucky, though. And I got rid of the Reaper pretty fast, because i had a fully loaded heavy weapon.

Speed on the Reaper doesn't matter, and Shepard himself doesn't count.

Essentially, you're given a probability that someone will bite the dust based on loyalties and total "defense" that the door party has. It's theoretically possible to get no casualties if you took, say, both Grunt and Garrus, it's just far more unlikely than if you took a group like Jack and Tali. And in either case I've heard you more or less have to send Mordin as your crew members' escort for him to live, although I'm not sure how valid that one is.

Verrrrrrry interesting. Oh Bioware. Sometimes you slay me, you really do.

However, now I think I can finally allow myself to indulge in Monkey Island 2. And maybe go back and replay the first one as well. Man, those Monkey Island games were awesome. The 5 part installment they put out was actually pretty enjoyable too!

Yeah, you can leave Mordin with the wall group and have him live if your team consists of low-defense-score people. The reason why people tend to send him back is that he's got the lowest defense score so if you were to lose someone, he's the first to die.

I actually read having the DLC guys as extras helps. Anyway, I always send Mordin back. Just because I feel like he has nothing to do in the field. And I only lost Jack. Who was the only one whose mission i did not end with being her friend.

Eh, Jack was certainly my least favorite character in ME2 :p

This is how Jack came off to me: "Oooooh, look at me, I'm all emo and angsty and special and I like calling people names. Oh, and look at my tats, aren't they so badass? Except you're not special like me so you can't tell how awesome they are. Me me me."

Or something like that. ;) Honestly, I can't see how you could possibly romance her other than through sheer force of will. :D

I loved her as a "character" . . . I would just have preferred if my decision between miranda and her would have been made with a gun! No, good backstory and all . . . she is just so unlikeable . . .

The excellent Mass Effect wiki has a guide to the Suicide Mission and explains who's most likely to die at which points. Seems like Jack is one of the most vulnerable.

That's the wonderful thing about the Internet. By the time I actually get around to doing something, somebody else has probably already thought it through for me. ;)

I hate it when that happens, as the second write-up is never nearly as good as the first.

that is why you hit preview several times before you try and post it. or do it in word.

you DO realize you can hit crtl+z to undo it if you erase everything though? or just right click and hit undo...

I did do preview mode and I know about undo but I did something very stupid that negates both <.< What I did is that I posted it all up, hit preview to make sure everything was in working order, but when I hit preview I thought I already hit Post Reply so, as a reflex, I clicked Role Playing Forum to bring me back. It was only right when I clicked it that I realized what I did and quickly tried to hit Cancel but it was too late. Aaaalllll gone :_|
