CT How did Luke surrender himself to the Empire on the forrest moon of Endor?

WIth a formal military surrender. Or Jedi methods?

 

"I come in peace. Take me to your Emperor." in a robot accent.

 

He most likely walked into the base with his hands in the air and surrendered.

 

I always thought he let himself get caught sneaking around the base.

 

"I'm part of the Rebel Alliance and a traitor. Take me away!"

 

Yeah, pretty much that. He probably introduced himself and told them to inform Vader that he's there.

 

On a previous thread some time ago, it was suggested that the troopers wanted to kill him, but Luke did another 'you will take me to Lord Vader now... and you will be rewarded' to the Imp officer to get them to deliver Luke directly to Vader.

 

I assume Luke Skywalker would be a pretty big name at this point, and he was recognized. Must've been anticlimactic for the officers to just take him in without a fight.

 

Clearly he shouted: "I WANT MY DADDY!"

 

There was a good side thingy in the West End Games RPG book where his surrender is written out. he goes right up to a group and uses the Jedi Mind Trick on an officer to be taken to Vader.

 

I think he was wearing Leia's slave girl costume. The Stormtroopers captured him and he whined, "surprise!!??"

 

I think I understand the question. Did Luke use the force to make his way past the guards to get to Vader? I think that's the question? If so I would say he only used the force to feel where Vader was located. After that he was straight up with the troopers. "My name is Luke Skywalker and I'm here to speak with Lord Vader."

I would say everyone knows of Luke Skywalker by this time and no Jedi methods were necessary to have them take him to Vader. Formal military surrender for sure.

 

It was all thanks to the hard work of Commander Igar. He was even smart enough to request permission to search the surrounding area for more rebels. Truly a great inspiration for Imperial Officers everywhere.

 

If I were one of the officers, and a warrior like Luke Skywalker just walked in offering himself up, I would probably be too surprised (and relieved, as he could totally kill me in a fight) to care and simply put the cuffs on his wrists. Hey, I get to have something to brag home to the family back home. I would probably post on the Galatweet, "Totally just captured Luke Skywalker, omg!"

Seriously, though, I had always assumed he found a platoon of Stormtroopers, told them he surrendered and to take him to an Imperial officer. He then did some Jedi Mind Tricks (TM) to make them take him to Vader himself.

 

You know that scene in Star Trek V where Uhura distracts those guys with the leaf dance?

It was kinda like that.

"I'm Luke Skywalker. The plot demands that I be around Vader for a while, so please don't blast me. Oh wait, you're stormtroopers. Don't have to worry about that."

 

That would've been a cool scene, referencing Luke's conversation with Bib Fortuna in Jabba's palace.

 

I doubt it would be hard to be captured. He could approach the base with his hands raised, and go up to some guards. They would most likely have orders to bring a Luke Skywalker to Vader, and I would bet they would obey.

 

Luke was transported in a AT-AT walker up to the landing platform. My guess is he flagged down the walker during a patrol.

 

Luke probably sparked up his light saber and the forest lit up. At that point he was pretty easy to spot.

 

Yep, that would have gotten the Imperial Troops attention.
