Sorry, I must disagree. Views of beauty change with time, but for the time, Carrie and Mark were quite the thing. I remember meeting Mark's dad here in San Diego (he was a retired Navy Captain) and thinking Mark resembled him a bit. As for Carrie, her folks were Debbie Reynolds and Eddie Fischer. She got her coloring from dad and a great deal of her looks from mom. Very popular in the 50's and 60's, not so much now. My only gripe with it now is... how come the twins are so tiny in comparison to Anakin and Padme? Heck, when I went to see the Magic and the Myth at the SD Art Museum the costumes for Carrie and Mark were positively diminutive! Ugly? No, not really. Not truly reflecting their supposed parent? Well, gotta figure GL had to look around for people who sort of resembled (at least in coloring) the twins. Not an easy job.

 

I don't know Leia had her good looks turned on and off in the OT. I think that the only time she look beautiful in ANH was at the end during the ceremony. ESB Leia looked very good I must say. She looked all right in the slave outfit, but then on Endor! Ohhh, man, Carrie really should never let her hair down. She looked like a scarecrow.

 

I think you're all nuts! I find Carrie Fisher far more attractive than Natalie Portman! Hayden, well, Hayden's a lot better looking than Mark. Mark Hamill's still good looking. Remember after ANH, he was in a bad automobile accident.

Leia's got the whole package compared to Natalie's (lolly-pop) build.

For the time, (OT) Mark Hamill most likely wasn't chosen for good looks! (Even though I strongly believe he is good looking.) He was chosen for that innocent naive look. Carrie Fisher was a strong woman and displayed as such in her charater. Nowadays, actors are chosen purely by looks, (In Natalie and Hayden's case) chemistry. They will mirror Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher in everything they do. You'll see.

P.S. Carrie Fisher is awesome! I still have dreams about her!

 

Carrie Fischer was a stone fox you guys. But this in no way prevents me from saying that the picture on the official site of Natalie in her white jump suit and that scarf!! wow. I think they're both gorgeous. I always thought Natalie looked best in the end cerimonial outfit, in a parralell to Carie in ANH's. Ahhhhhhhhhhh....What I wouldn't give to be a Jedi in the Star Wars universe.

 

The decline in attraction across generations lends some credence to my long held theory that the real father of Luke is not Anakin but Ric Olie. Padme had a fling with him while Anakin was out and about--it must of been the hair that got her.

And about the ma'am who made the remark about women feeling insecure (or something along those lines anyway), I'd just like to say that I was a child prodigy actor and just because I couldn't act as well as that Hayley whats-'is-name kid, I left the business
It's because people keep comparing all child actors with that Hayley character that us regular child actors (like me and Jake) feel totally insecure in the business

Now (since I'm sure ya'll missed the sarcasm there), those veiws do not reflect my veiws nor was I ever a child prodigy of any sort. I did that to make a point. If you're going to be PC with one thing, you gotta be PC with everything. That's the trick with PC (which is crap anyway IMO). No, we shouldn't set ourselves out to hurt someone with a rude remark, but just silly joking is ok. No Carrie and Mark aren't really that bad. No I don't hold all women to the caliber of supermodels (who are fake anyway so why bother trying to hold a person to a caliber that isn't there). Personally I'd rather hang out with Mark out of any of them because he just seems like the nicest of them all. Good guy Natalie in her interveiws and everything just seems to have this whole 'Holier-than-thou' attitude. Not very attractive IMHO.
As for Carrie and Hayden, I dunno much about their personalities so I can't say

 

Poor Carrie! She gets ragged on for her looks in ANH, but how good would you look if the stupid wardrobe people stuck cinnamon buns to the sides of your head, dressed in you in your mother's bedsheets, and taped down your boobs? Has anyone seen "Under the Rainbow"? Carrie looks goregeous in that movie.

I think the problem is, they just didn't have every good makeup people on those movies. I mean sure, they could paint realistic looking rubber masks, but couldn't give Carrie realistic looking foundation and eyeliner? I realize that in the 80's the racoon look was all the rage, but they went a little overboard IMO!

As for Mark, he's a fox in real life, but not very photogenic after the car accident (though his biceps in ESB are to die for!) Hubba hubba!

Mark in ANh, at the table when he wants to put in his application to the academy this year...I fell in love with that face. I was seven, yeah, but he was gorgeous. He was like 27 then, as compared to teenagers.

As for Luke and Anakin. I can't believe how alike Mark and Hayden look. There's somethig about the mouth, not just the chin, but whole bottom face that resembles each other. I think there's no mistaking that Anakin would be Luke's dad. I think that's part of why they cast Hayden, because Ewan is a blond with blue eyes and a cleft chin, too.

Hayden is not that handsome to me, not really my type, but he is very attractive, and has, IMO, the right qualities for the role. He looks somewhat angry, but wide-eyed and lost at the same time, in his pictures, and that would be Anakin.
Also, he is a very nice guy, with a level head, and a kind personality.

In all fairness to Mentos, I don't think that was his aim! I merely pointed out that Mark Hamill was in an accident between ANH and ESB that required plastic surgery.

 

I think both of them are cute. Carrie has her moments in the OT and Natalie has hers so far in the PT, but IMO, niether are women that I would go nuts over. No pun intended. I know Carrie had problems during her time. So she was probably more attractive in all aspects (looks, body, mind and personality) before she started having problems.
Physically (pretty face and nice body), Natalie is very beautiful. I don't know about her personality which is why I say she is just cute. I've never seen any of her interviews, so it's hard to say about her in that sense. Personality plays a big part for me. I can't stand some of these so-called-supermodels with the skinny body and big fake boobs that act like they're the bomb. Even the ones that are really gorgeous(physically), it's a turn off if they are rude and big-headed.

She is beautiful, but she is very conceited. She comes across as very self-absorbed. However, she is a rich, spoiled Jewish girl, and an only child. Only children are usually a bit snotty. They are their parent's world, so it crosses over in their attitudes a bit. Plus she is smart and talented. I don't mind watching her, but I don't like her in real life, lol. Good thing she's an actress.

Well Natalie Portman looks way much better than Fisher ever did. But I think ANH Luke is more handsome than AOTC Anakin. (I'm not gay, thought it's nothing wrong with that).

I think they all pale in comparison to Yoda and Yaddle.
