Mines stacked three deep in my cabinet, ran out of room years ago! Some of my best books are in my sewing room for reference (The picture Dictionaries and Dressing a Galaxy) but all my novels (hard and soft cover are hard to get to now. I have to sit down and dig through the layers to find the ones I want! Been collecting since 1990....

Mine are arranged chronologically, two books deep to save space, with the back row being raised so they can still be seen. I have all the books in paper back up to LOTF so I don't have to worry about that until the bottom, where they are not two deep.

Though usually there are big holes in the spots because I have a big stack of books laying out from doing research or several by the bathtub because that is the best place to read! :) But right now most of them are in boxes because I'm hoping to be able to move soon!

Mine are completely unorganized and simply packed compactly in one shelf to save space. This is done by putting books face-up and stacking them five or six or seven high. The larger books (Essential Guides and others) go right side up, Books are then stacked on these if they are stable structures. Altogether I believe I have about 90+ books in a very small space. This can be done partially because almost all of them are paperback. The only problem with this method is that it means I have to sift through several books to find the one I'm looking for, which is why I put my five favorites in one stack by themselves.

The majority of my paperbacks, since I don't have enough room for all of them on the bookshelves I have, are on two and a half shelves in chronological order. All of my bigger books such as the few hardcovers I have and 'Making of' books are on two shelves on a bookcase out in the hallway across from my room at home.

Ultimate geeky moment: last semester I did bring SOTE and TTT with me to school. I never got around to reading them, but it was sort of nice to know they were there and a little bit of home came with me to an entirely new place.

Since I'm feeling rather geeky and have recently been augmenting my comics collection of late, I suppose I'll mention my SW comic book arrangement (all TPBs and Omnibuses--I don't buy the single issues). Like the novels, these are arranged in general order of release date, keeping series together of course. The first row contains all my regular sized paperbacks. The second row contains all the wonky sized ones--the graphic novellas and omnibus-sized stuff.

chronologic for the most part, kotor TPB and Legacy TPB's bordering everything
with some lego starwars sets and a lightsaber around it.
ill always make little changes to it if im bored or finish a new book or something:p

My books are arranged chronologically, mostly. I group hardcovers together where appropriate and separate groups of hardcovers with paperbacks. Visually, I can't stand having the hardcovers separated by paperbacks. So I'll sacrifice the by-time organization for something slightly more aesthetically pleasing.

My KOTOR and Legacy comics are still in chronological order, but they're on the other bookshelf with my comic books. Mostly because they won't fit on my Star Wars bookshelf. I'm probably going to have to rearrange soon anyway, what with Fate of the Jedi still releasing, and my bookshelf being completely full as it is. I might be able to do some creative stacking, but we'll see how that one works out.

Used to be chronological. Now most of mine are in boxes in my attic due to lack of room for my more serious novels and nonfiction. I still pull a few out from time to time to read.

    Invincible

    Shadow of the Empire

Might organize them a bit in the future when I have more books.

^ That's how mine are right now too, except I think they all managed to end up in the same big box.
When they're on the shelf I have them in chronological order. It helps me see what books I'm missing, especially in the New Jedi Order, since I only have a few of those.
