JCC How do you milk & cereal?

Recently saw a commercial where someone’s got a bowl of milk ready to go, mulling which cereal to pour in, to which seems odd to me… the cereal always goes in first.

 

Cereal first.

 

I stopped eating cereal about a decade ago. It's the human equivalent of Purina Dog Chow, only unhealthier with more added sugar and salt. But when I did eat it the cereal went in the bowl first.

 

Cereal first, excepting refills.

 

Cereal first, because I am not a barbarian.

This is going to be the start of one of those influx of weird posts in the forum that have really nothing to do with anything, isn't it?

For those that don't eat cereal, what do you do for breakfast? Do you cook an egg every day? Maybe some days have a toast or bagel? Yogurt?

Or are you among those that just skip breakfast altogether. As if that's healthier than cereal.

 

I hope the person who made the milk first ad was immediately sent to a insane asylum

 

This reminds me of the Unfrosted movie; where the big cereal companies were portrayed as being in league with the mafioso milk companies.

 

I'm shocked. I didn't know anyone watched Unfrosted.

 

And no one forced me to either.

 

There's a semi sentient ravioli and Bill Burr JFK in Unfrosted , it's kinda amazing

 

I mean I eat steel cut oatmeal but I make that with water so even if it counts it doesn’t count, y’know?

 

I eat cereal at night, after the kids are in bed, like a proper adult. Breakfast is a protein shake and Field Roast breakfast links.

I typically have coffee for breakfast and then time permitting after coffee will have eggs and toast

 

I greatly dislike mushy cereal so it's a bit of milk first, then some cereal and eat. More cereal and eat and repeat. Any left over milk gets poured in the sink.

you have to get everything right.

shredded wheat - very hot (not boiling!!!) milk, and you need to warm the bowl.,

Cheerios - warm milk and get into 'em quick , don't let 'em get soggy.

Cornflakes, cold milk , but put the sugar in the milk first, then over the cereal
