I just finished the Bounty Hunter Wars trilogy for the second time, and still found no answer to how Xizor died. Can anyone enlighten me?

Could you give a little more detail, ie. why and when?

Shadows of the Empire explains quite better than I can.

Simply put, Vader traps him on his skyhook and kills him for treason, for trying to kill Luke and usurp Vader to become the Emperor's right-hand man.

Though I prsonally like to think Xizor escaped the skyhook before it's destruction, and Vader tracked him down on the ground and killed him mano-y-mano like the SOTE figure 2-pack suggested ::)

    Alas, just wishful thinking ;)

they had their mano-y-mano fight before the skyhook incident. xizor only escaped death when the emperor restrained vader for trying to kill the Empire's #1 contractor.

no one likes it when they start outsourcing your company's work.

I think it was left slightly open in case they wanted Xizor to survive, but apparently they chose to leave him dead.

In the end Xizor learned a very important lesson. Vader was not someone he could toy with and expect to get away with it.

If you take the final mission of the Shadows N64 game into account, Xizor's skyhook also got blown up by Dash Rendar destroying the reactor, presumably right as Vader fired on him with his Super Star Destroyer.

As part of that, he also learned that messing with the child of a Dark Lord is a really bad idea...

What about the Boba Fett Trilogy (same thing?)

    When is that set?

While Xizor was fairly well trained in self-defense, his strength came more from his cold cunning than anything else. He was the third most powerful man in the galaxy after Vader and the Emperor, a crime lord whose vast criminal empire covered quite an expansive outreach. Because of this, he gained alot of favor with Palpatine as a contractor, but also because he enjoyed pitting Vader and Xizor against each other for his own amusement.

    I mean:

    The Mandalorian Armour

    Slave Ship

    Hard Merchandise

    It says on TF.N review:

Boba Fett has just crawled out of the Sarlacc as seen in Tales of the Bounty Hunters. He's alive, but only barely. Dengar and a mysterious woman named Neelah help save him from certain death in the Dune Sea. However, some people are taking absolutely no chances that Fett may be alive. They go out of their way to make sure he's dead. Who are they? Why are they doing it?

But it's set after ANH. Explanation?

Mandalorian Armor, Slave Ship, and Hard Merchandise are The Bounty Hunter War Trilogy not Boba Fett Trilogy.

Bounty Hunter Wars takes place in two time periods.

The "then" section is set just after ANH, the "now" section just after ROTJ.

It's interesting to think that Xizor actually met his end in the way vader had dealt with the plague that caused xizor to hate him so much. Sterilization by turbolazer.

He also messed with Vader's daughter:p

Anyways, here is a cool Xizor Pic which seems shows you his character, though you only see his torso, you can see he is elegant, yet cruel and unforgiving
