I love it.

 

Cronal/Blackhole managed to possess Leia and managed to kill off everyone else involved in the Battle of Mindor.

 

Shadow Trooper: Finally, someone who still remembers Lord Blackhole!

 

How could anyone forget the artist who brought us such gems as "Luke Skywalker and the Jedi's Revenge". I could just imagine the awesomeness of a Blackhole directed Sequel trilogy. Not even the OT would be safe!

 

Maybe you are aware, but recently they killed off Lord Blackhole in an Warlord article on the SW website.

For some reason, I hoped he would use the Force to create a real blackhole which would consume an attack fleet...
A bit like Palpatine using his Force storm to decimate the rebel fleet in DE1.

 

I heard he was ret-conned into being that one spider cyborg looking guy from that Star Wars Tales story. What a terrible way to kill off such an amusing character.

 

Yes, he was. He had to be killed off at some point, but yes his ending could have been a little... different.

Tom Veitch originally planned to use a Vader imitator as main villain, but then he was told he could use Palpatine.
Actually, I hoped his original storyline would be picked up by the EU once.
Blackhole would be the perfect guy to pull such scheme off!
Maybe he could have forced Wrenga Jixton into playing Vader... That would have been fun, wouldn't it?

 

I would've much preferred Blackhole in Dark Empire than Palpatine...

 

Palpatine returning in a clone body might have been a little bit silly, but the again Lucasfilm proposed it.
Originally, Tom Veitch was planning on using a Vader imitator as main villain.
Reminds me of Moff Disra's scheme in The Hand of Thrawn...
Blackhole hadn't gained as much attention in the 90s.

 

I just thought his story ended up too convoluted by the end. Too many names and unrelated weird stories about him.

 

Orman Tagge: You might be right, but maybe that is part of his character. Blackhole, the one-time Director of Imperial Intelligence, which no one could grasp.
A bunch of wild stories combined because no one really knew his true identity.

 

Not to mention an expert at the art of cinema. It makes sense that he could create a bunch of false information about himself which he would than trick people into believing. Apparently "Luke Skywalker and the Jedi's Revenge"was so convincing that it had commander Klick and his men follow Luke's orders without question even when he ordered them to help the Rebels.

 

The strenght of the character lies in its weakness.

 

While on the Death Star Starkiller accidently uses an overpowered Force Repulse and blows it up killing everyone aboard.

 

Darth Nihilus consumed the whole Galaxy. The end.

 

Palpatine transferred his essence into the young Anakin Solo.

 

$5 that if Anakin Solo was still alive by the time of LOTF TPTB would make that the reason why he would fall to the Dark Side.

 

At least, he would have survived the Vong War...

 

Would make TUF an even better ending point than it already was.

 

Perhaps, Luke would have to play exorcist... He would try to make Palpatine's spirit leave Anakin's body.
Plotwise it would just follow those typical exorcist horror movies. Can't wait to see it happening...

 

That would have been logical. We can't have that. Knowing TPTB Anakin has to die because he couldn't stop Palpatine from possessing him even though he was a baby or something stupid like that.

Desann successfully convinces Kyle Katarn to turn against the NJO during his attack on the Jedi Academy.

 

MARA JADE: hi luke
LUKE: who are you?

Luke glances down where mara jade vanished replaced by a book. He turns it over: the cover says "Legends." He gets on his canon motorcycle speeder bike and speeds into the sunset while Han and Leia look on. They shrug and get some canon drinks.
Somewhere in the other corner a selkath ponders the state of the universe and feeds some canon chickens but not Vergere.
