How to get from Ben to Kol

about a hundred and forty?

 

Considering some of the lines of discussion in the Legacy #24 thread, I'm bumping this one to free it up.

Remember to keep any spoilers for that issue blacked out until the spoiler period for that issue ends.

 

I've come to the conclusion I want Ben to have a Daughter who chooses to pass on her name because it's important for the Jedi.

 

Star Wars is a man's world, sadly old-fashioned when it comes to these things. So breaking the paternal descent is unlikely, as much as I would want it to happen to the Skywalkers.

 

I know it's unlikely but a twisted part of me wants to watch the fan reactions if by some slim chance it ever does happen. It's why despite the fact that Sacrifice is not one of my favorite books I enjoyed the fall out from the revelation of Medrit's gender.

That said even if Kol is Ben or Ben's son's. I want a Female Skywalker lead in there somewhere.

Perhaps Kol's dad has an older syster.

Or if Ben is Kol's dad then perhaps Kol has a mcuh older sister who can be the lead for a while. Before Ben pops out another kid later in life.

 

Agreed. They could also give Ben a daughter who has a child but never marries, but even that seems a bit progressive for the old-fashioned way the SW universe seems to operate.

 

Maybe Ben himself will tell Cade how their related? Also I want to know who the JWoD is too.

 

I'm betting Allana- Jaina's just too obvious unless the authors have gotten really lazy. Then again, considering this is Del Rey...

Well, they're second cousins, actually. Not a big deal from a genetic standpoint.

I 200% agree . I mean seriously...Jaina/Ben!? EWWWWW!!!! What would the family think!? Oh man, knowing Leia she might come up with something like this:

Leia to Jaina: It's okay. It could be worse. I did afterall kiss your uncle long time ago.

Actually Alana is Ben's First cousin once removed.

Ben's kid will be Alana's second cousin.
