hey everyone. I just came back from sears hardware, and I bought some stuff to make a saber with. Once I am able to try out these sabers with some friends, I will repost with the experience I had with them and how well or not so well they worked. Esentially, I got a thin PVC pipe grey, and a thicker wooden dowel rod. I am about to drill a hole in the dowel rod to fit the prop in. I'll let everyone know.

So far, I have spent 17 dollars, I can build two props withough buying more stuff, although I am not 100% sure what I am going to use to fasten the two.

If I'm not mistaken, threads cannot be made sticky after they're posted; they have to be created as a sticky thread. At least that's how it used to work, I believe.

Anyway, I too would kind of like to see these pictures...

If they're both PVC, use PVC cement. And primer (before applying the cement), but you might want to put tape over what you don't want the primer (or cement) to go on because it's kinda drippy, and it's purple, and whatever it gets on stays purple.

As for the dowel into the hilt, you can wrap electrical tape around the dowel (the lower part of it where it's going to be in the hilt). Do it twice, once on the bottom, and once on the top (the top of where it will still be in the hilt). That won't completely secure it though, it can still fly out if you swing it hard enough. You'll have to find some other way to fasten it down strong.

actually, the dowell is the hilt. I have a hole started for where I am going to put my prop blade, which I already cut out of the PVC. I just have to wait for the battery in the powerdrill to charge(didnt have much power when I started). For keeping the prop blade in, I think I figured it out

The hilt is wood, so I was going to put tape over it anyway. Well, when I go to drill a few support holes through the hilt, they will go through the PVC as well. Then I take metal screws and put them in(even if they are smaller than the hole, since the tape will keep them in. I will still use some outward onces for buttons and such, so yea.
