I thought bringing back Spitting Image back would be a bad idea, no chance they’ll be as cutting in commentary as the original.

I was right.

pence being grey is meh. They slowly coloured John Major grey over a number of episodes back in the day, it was great to see.

 

I am super critical, but I am way less critical than you are. I already like seeing those puppets again. The hair on Boris. The smile on Harry. Trump in bed. I am on board

 

Spitting image, at least the early years, had guts in its satire. I really don’t think it can be recaptured. But let me know when they do something as brilliant as mocking a US Presidents Alzheimer’s disease which was an open secret at the time, or ripping up a country with song, or slaying the UK government for its stance on the Yorkshire miner strike.

I just don’t think the guts are there.

Neither is the comedy, based upon the sketch I saw.

edit: I love seeing the puppets, but the words matter more.

 

As a classless Midwestern American, I find the posh British accent on a woman intoxicating. I understand why the Fox News women just don't work for you the same way; they don't for me either. It's that posh British accent and the condescending attitude. What can I say? I'm American; we all hate that the British once oppressed us and nothing turns a person on like what they most hate.

The Greta Thunberg puppet is spot-on.

 

I find British accent hot when they're speaking in English, a bit less otherwise, whereas French accent is hot whatever they are speaking.
