GIven the timing I suspect this fundraiser was going to be in conjunction with the Ep 2 and Ep3 3D releases we were supposed to see this month that were canceled (sorry "delayed") by Disney. At least they went ahead with this although they probably won't get as much as they would have if there was Star Wars in the theater right now.

I'm sure you've seen this shared in other spots but if not there's currently a contest going on where for a donation to Make a Wish you get a chance to have a tour of Skywalker Ranch with the potential to meet both George Lucas and Mark Hamill. Pretty cool, you can donate to a charity and get the chance at a once in a lifetime event.

IKTIOT but sorry I've been away from the forums this week. The Mrs. and I went down to Orlando to enjoy Universal Studios and some 80 degree weather. I really enjoyed the Harry Potter area, the Marvel Comics area and the new Simpsons area. The warm weather was a nice break but coming back to single digit temperatures again was quite a shock to the system.

Sorry I've been away for awhile taking care of Uncle Sam requirements and some other stuff but, my lovely wife has been keeping up with what happening and I'm back from the battle of life. Congrads to the both of you for staying someplace as long as you have.

 

Well Appo-- I think it just means we have been internet dorks for a long time: nothing too special. Actually, I have been on this site since 1997: but had my account messed up when they switched servers the first time and had to start over in 2003 (hence the underscore between Yoda and Jammies, instead of just a space). Man, TFN back in 1997. It was a different website back then, and not one of Lucas's favorites either.

Anyone remember the Episode 1 spoilers in pictures? They used to take the rumors, and put up a picture (from the set, from the EU, from a toy, etc.) as if you were reading a bad photo comic of the Phantom Menace. It was not at all like the movie-- but it got the site shut down from time to time.
