I think it would be uber kool to show a misguided Han dealing with various nefarious characters, to include bounty hunters. But it sounds to me like Boba Fett is the focus.

I'm initially wary of Boba killing off heroes week after week. I don't think that would go over too well. And who cares about his personal life? He has a neat costume and he's lethal!

The Emperor would not deal directly with bounty hunters -- nor would his top lieutenants. Recall in TESB that Vader doesn't address Boba personally -- he just calls him 'bounty hunter.'

So if Boba is the focus week after week, the show could be 'weak after weeks.' Why focus a promising TV series on some dude who is destined to end up being digested the the belly of the Sarlac for 1000 years?

Honestly, honestly, I'm not so excited about the show being about bounty hunters (I've never been a hard core fan of them). What I'd like to see is the surviving JEdis trying to cope with their new lives, mixed in with bounty hunters, smugglers, senators, Imps and everyone else in between.

And PLEASE, could somebody direct us to an article where Ewan expresses his interest for the show. Out of all the PT actors, he's the least I would expect to appear (and I love Ewan with absolutely all my heart, but we know how he's felt about SW in the past- at least during the first two movies).

But yes, I'd love to see Tarkin, Bail Organa (really, he's such an interesting character), and some others (I'm sleepy).

McDiarmid was the best actor of ROTS. His cold senseless undertones, his charming way of pulling all the strings. Fooling all around him with his humble nature as Senator. He is a must for the tv series sucess, George will most definately want to make extensive use of his talent, albeit cameo, but occasional appearances throughout the series as a whole.

Ian's involvement as Palpatine would really help sell the series (if it really needs selling) and would be ultra-cool. While none of us has many real details of what the series will be like, we probably can expect recurring story lines involving a young Boba Fett, young Luke and Leia, Darth Vader and Tarkin, those Jedi missed by Order 66 and many new characters. There may even be occassional guest appearances by Obi-Wan and Yoda. Ian's Palpatine wouldn't need very many appearances to be a major force in the series. Many of his scenes could be holograms which could easily be shot in London.

It would be nice to see some kick-butt Vader action during sweeps weeks and season ending cliff-hangers.

I'm particularly intruiged with getting the post-Mustafar Vader to match his physical injuries from the OT 'post-mortem' performed by Dr. Curtis Saxton and viewed ON THIS TFN LINK.

Notice in the linked article that Vader's left arm is missing to the shoulder socket. In ROTS , he does not lose the entire arm -- only the lower arm and hand are replaced along with the lower legs.

Vader has the huge gash from the top of his head to the base of his skull, also not present on Mustafar.

Vader has cervical vetebrae replacements or augmentation of some type, damage that would have, according to Dr. Saxton, resulted in paralysis and which did not appear to be present immediately after the Mustafar duel. As Anakin lay on the burning hot sands, he lifts his head up to speak with Obi-Wan, and then he is able to do an awkward crawl away from the lava stream on his severed stumps using and his remaining mechanical hand -- none of which indicates traumatic cervical injury and paralysis. Similarly, as Anakin lay on the operating room table while the medical droids repaired him, his stumpy limbs tensed and shook in pain as the burnt clothing was removed from his toasted body.

So the Dark Lord apparently has some more physical trauma to deal with before we see him again in ANH. Maybe we will get to see some of it happen, possibly as he confronts a few of the Jedi survivors of Order 66 during the live action series episodes.

Having a lot of Tarkin would also be good.

Seeing Tarkin's relationship with Vader would be icing on the cake.

Tarkin does refer to Vader as "my friend" in ANH. Hmmmmm.........

Everyone likes to see characters that they know from the orignal trilogy, and if you can get the same actors to play them, like Ian, that would be great. But, let's be honost, who would play Han?
