Ideas for Episodes 7, 8, and 9

A lot of people have suggested in way or anthoer that the new trilogy - the sequel one, that is, that takes place AFTER " Jedi " - should feature Han, Luke, and Leia. I ask: why ? There are plenty of plot threads in the EU and even in the OT to provide plot ideas for Episodes 7, 8, and 9 without having to worry about including our favoured OT characters & whether or not they would have to be CGIs'. My idea is as follows. The plotline would be as such: the New Republic trying to re-establish peace in the galaxy ( as the first and most obvious plot point ), the Jedi Academy finding its' place in this new-politically speaking-galaxy ( as the next obvious plot point ), and the children of Han and Leia coming into their own as Jedi and as citizens of the Republic ( as the third obvious plot point ). As the plot itself goes, I suggest a plot line involving the Khyber Crystal, the galaxy trying to pick itself up after the Yuzon Vong wars, and the remnants of the Imperial Empire all coming together to try to get the galaxy restored to order. Many will try to assist the New Republic for whatever reason, but there are still elements in the galaxy that will distrust the New Republic and its' ideals. There are many possible enemies to choose from if one goes by the expanded universe, and I do. We can always start with the Han Solo Trilogy by Brian Daley and the Lando Calrissian Trilogy by L. Neil Smith to help us decide who one or more of those enemy should be. Opinions ? Obviously I am interested in learing of others.

id love to see something on film about the Old Republic, pre tpm, i think it has the most and best potential for great films or shows

oh i believe there most certainly will be more SW movies, if they are 7,8, and 9, i do not know, star wars is too great a money maker to be let go forever
