If Darth Traya/Kreia had actually been able to kill the Jedi Exile what would happen to the force?

In Knights Of The Old Republic 2:The Sith Lords Kreia revealed to be Darth Traya after she has reassumed the title of Sith Lord following the death of Darth Nihlus, exposes her plan to destroy the Force itself and end all life by default because without the force in Star Wars no life can survive at all, and the force would die if the Jedi Exile had been killed supposedly because of the Jedi Exiles connection to the force and the bonds that she formed with anyone that she connected with.

Part of her plan IMHO was to use Nihlus to destroy the force by allowing him to hunt down and destroy the jedi and everything else, he would finally after destroying everything that was left simply kill himself and leave an empty and ruined galaxy in his wake, but his plans failed and he was confronted and killed by the Jedi Exile and her companions.

So Kreia becomes Darth Traya again and tells the Jedi Exile that she hates the force because it seems to have a will of its own and does not take any sides at all, allowing anyone to act and to manipulate it at their will and do whatever they want, so she planned to destroy the force by killing the Jedi Exile and severing her bond with the Jedi Exile in the process, Darth Traya belived that such an action would destroy the force and bring about its end and destroy all life, leaving nothing behind at all, not even a void because that would simply be an empty space that once had something there.

So if her plan to destroy the Jedi Exile and then herself had actually worked what would have happened the Force itself? Would it really have died as Darth Traya belived (acquired by lots of logical thinking and meditation as being the only logical end result of such an action, that nothing else could possibly happen therefore in her humble opinion) or would the Force simply recover but be crippled and weaked for a very long time afterwards thus leaving it sick and not strong, causing the force to have a plague upon itself that would wreck chaos and havoc on everything until it healed, i dont know what would happen but i dont think Kreia was right.

    No.

I think you misunderstood Kreia's plan actually. Kreia was going to kill the Exile because the Exile had come to kill her. In fact, her plan depended on the Exile continuing to live and spreading the Force Disturbances that were the result of her peculiar connection to the Force.

IIRC Kreia's plan was to kill herself - and via her link to the Exile, the Exile as well, and the rest of the Force along with them. (Which, is really confusing because in the end you still do kill Kreia...that game really made no sense).

But the OP's point still stands.

Personally I think Kreia was overestimating what would happen. I think she would damage the Exile and the people/places the Exile had interacted with via the Force, but nothing on the scale she was imagining. I think at worst there would be a few deaths and some funny weather on a couple planets.

I prefer the less dramatic, more philosophical interpretation I've read suggested on other threads in the past. Basically, the idea Kreia never intended to destroy the entire Galaxy or transform the Exile into some magic bomb that would destroy the Force in the blink of an eye. Instead, the idea Kreia did achieved what she wanted to do: transform the Exile into a vessel that would continue to spread her beliefs.

This is one of the reasons I love KOTOR2. Its like a classic, each time you read it you learn something new and may even realise you've completely misunderstood it for decades. Kreia, in truth, says so little about her intentions that we're left filling in all the gaps. It just becomes so easy in light of Nihilus to assume she wanted to turn the Exile into some magic doomsday device, even when she never outright stated as such. Kreia despised Nihilus and treated him as naive. Nihilus was the typical "magic bomb" solution to the question of "How do you destroy the Force?" In the course of the game Kreia did a lot to talk the Exile out of seeing Nihilus as powerful, but rather wanted her to see Nihilus as a slave to his own hunger, a failure, in effect.

In contrast, the Exile actually listened and learned. In Kreia's own world, the Exile had become her true heir and come to believe the same as she that the Force needed to be "destroyed". Why is this so? Because the Exile turned away from it. That's what Kreia wanted. If the entire Galaxy turned away from the Force the way the Exile did then Kreia's dream would be realised. By destroying the last of the old Order, the Exile set the stage to found a new Order, one not governed by the Force, but governed by the one who had stepped away from it.

That, in my eyes, was Kreia's goal. And she achieved it.

Now, whether or not the Exile eventually went on to continue Kreia's teachings is another story, as a lot of Kreia's faith in the Exile can be attributed to the fact Kreia was nuts. I think by the end of KOTOR2 the Exile had become the first of the New Jedi, but I don't think she believed what Kreia thought she believed. The Exile had reconnected with the Force, she was no longer hiding from it. However, since Kreia loved her because she had stepped away, I don't think Kreia ever really accepted the Exile had embraced it again, all the way until the bitter end she clung onto the hope the Exile would continue to shun the Force. We see this in the ending itself where Kreia is going "You are beautiful to me, Exile" and such despite that we, the embodiment of the character, have spent the whole game shaking our heads at the Jedi and, finally, Kreia when they all accuse us of being dark even when we're trying to be good.

Kreia is just, simply, insane. She wants everyone to be like the Exile and has made the Exile the only Jedi left standing, so the only one who can pass on the Jedi ways, "ensuring" the Jedi all become like the Exile. Massive misjudgment on Kreia's part, but that's part of the tragic element of her character in a sense, for she just never wanted to accept the "canon light side ending" truth that in the end the Exile had become the first of the new Jedi, not the first of Kreia's Jedi.

But, hey, you have to extend a crazy lady who's about to die a bit of sympathy. :p

What I want to see in the comics is simply a scene that justifies Kreia's obsession with Malachor. I'm willing to put it down to her obsession with knowledge the same way a librarian is obsessed with a library. But, I'd really like to see a scene where Revan pledges himself to the Sith within Trayus Core. Or even a scene where Darth Revan battles his apprentices after they discover what he has become and only Malak is left standing, jawless, and is then forced to submit to the Sith too.

I'd appreciate an element of powerful history associated with Trayus Core being where great change begins. It was where Kreia wanted the Exile to start the new Order. It was where Traya was exiled and Nihilus and Sion took over. It would become where Revan began his Sith Order as wel

Kreia definately never planned to use Nihilus to destroy the force, heck, the whole point of her behaviour at the end of the game was to bring the Exile and Nihilus together so that the Exile could finally rid the galaxy of the abomination that is Nihilus.
Nihilus destroyed life, Kreia didn't want life to be destroyed, she wanted life to be disconnected from the force, which is entirely different.

The above mentioned explanation by Zorrixor sounds pretty good to me (mostly ;) ).
Though I wouldn't really say that the Exile reconnected to the force. The Exile wasn't back to be a normal Jedi so to speak, her connection to the force was entirely different. She still was a wound in the force and her power depended on those around her. I agree that the believe wasn't the sama as Kreia's, though I doubt that Kreia was completely against that, she knew that her beliefs weren't flawless either and that the Exile would need to take her own path.

Kreia loved the Exile. She wont kill the Exile whom she has accepted like her "child."
