IGN Boards, PAY ONLY

IGN has failed me for the last time...

 

I can't believe this... How dare they try and earn money through their product?

 

Message boards... product? That's hilarious!

 

I actually posted a load of messages on IGN just before it went pay. Now I can't even see what the replies were

If Jedi Council changed to a pay site I'd probably leave here, too. I have a policy never to pay for two things on the Internet: message boards and porn

 

Message boards are HARDLY a product.

 

I posted lots of messages at the IGN boards but I could never understand why they want me to pay money for using the messageboards?

They're only gonna put themselves out of business if they are going to make people drain their money just to post a message.

 

They should've just closed the boards if they can't afford the bandwidth.

 

That IGN Insider banner on the JC is bugging me.

"Do you have $20? We've lowered our price! Limited time offer."

Wow, you've lowered your price on something that should be free!

Why is TFN supporting these clowns?

 

I haven't seen an ad here for months.

I love my ad blocking software.

 

I haven't been to IGN's boards since January. I liked the music and film-related boards and there are some nice people over there. But I certainly don't think it fair to charge for message boards, especially considering a lot of people can't spare that kind of money (yes, it's only $20, but some people would rather put that towards a game or something). I understand that they need to make money and the Insider made sense for that purpose, but I don't know about charging for just posting on a message board.
