I'm growing a beard. Any tips?

cut funny patterns out of the hair, and then braid all the clipped hair into one kickass goatee braid.

 

Dammit, I don't yet have enough facial hair to grow a beard. It seems the only people my age who do are Indian or Middle Eastern.

 

Just, let it grow man. I shaved about an hour ago and I already have 5 o'clock shadow.

 

You need a better shaver.

 

Just let it grow, then right before the contest comb it out so it looks fuller.

 

I actually find if you have 2 or 3 showers a day and wash your face all the times, it will allow the growth to quicken. It's true.

P.S oh I also find that after a big night out on the piss I have heaps of after growth, so get hell drunk...alot!

 

Also, conditioning it makes it look fuller as well.

 

Keep it trimmed so you don't look like a scruffy loser.

 

Tapping one's fingertips on a hard surface frequently supposedly makes fingernails grow faster. Try tapping something hard against your chin and hope it stimulates blood flow and makes the hair grow faster. Don't hit too hard, though.

 

Glue your pubes to your face.

Um, it's a beard contest, is it not? I would think...and forgive me if I'm wrong...that in a beard contest, "the longer, the better" would be a golden rule...and trimming would be completely out of the question.

And you're not a loser if you're scruffy, either.

 

Well, he didn't say exactly - it could be a contest for the best-looking beard, not the longest.

And no, being scruffy doesn't make you a loser - it just makes you look like one.

When my friend went to Israel it was so hot that he shaved everyday and when he came back a mere month later he could grow a full beard, I kid you not, he was 15 at the time.
