This place, the darkest depth of the world where no moonlight has shone,
is where the Forgotten One who once was called the Justice's Executor, the Protector of Righteousness, the Symbol of Goodness got trapped by the evil ones, hands ripped off, tortured for the eternity of time.

Now our heroes, troublesome adventurers, or the travelers who were named the Wakers, reached this place.
With their knowledge and lessons earned by countless accidents and rich experience....

    they didn't release him.

    Sucan skeletal design by Avian-king
    [IMG]
"The melon headed birds finally have a proper skeleton.
im calling Idrian avians "Meronvirenjeru cherubaves or Meron-cherubaves" for now. a mix of japanese and latin words would translate ****tily to
"melon headed angel birds" I may change this class name later."

    The Boisterous Bazaar by Avian-king
    [IMG]
Here is a common scene, a Sucan run bazaar somewhere in the central part of one of the cities.
The Sucan have established a few metropolitan cities across Idris IV.

    Above:

As families, partners and casual shoppers go about their business, a cheeky Carossian Sucan (green-blue fellow) decided to try his luck stealing from an honest working Atosian (diminutive grey compatriot). Although Atosians have sharper pharyngeal beaks in comparison to most Sucan, they are the smallest of the family. It is more than likely that the fuz-patrol has been called already by one of the onlookers. Probably in the Carossians best interests as Atosians rarely work alone; a flock of angry Atosians can draw lots of punch-holes in record time.

Amongst the onlookers is a female bourbon Palibran Sucan (lass eating a kabob with a sun-hat). She has likely just bought something exotic from the ultraviolet market behind her. The mix of brilliant and manipuling colours, enticing aromas and strange textures really make the whole shopping experience something else. Not all groceries are quite to so invasive, but a great deal are.
Outside the sensory-market, the Atosian merchant sells various goods, predominantly the hard nuts his people feed on in their native range. It takes significant force to get past the shell but the fatty cholesterol-rich flesh is worth the effort in frigid conditions. Amongst the hardwood-nuts is a culled unguligrade livestock animal, distantly related to the Jauracht of the polar regions. Next to the nuts are "heart of Artichoke" a succulent budding plant that can be steamed like Brussel sprouts or minced into a curry. further still are the parasitic fire-figs, an Epiphyte fruiting vine that grows year-round in the tropics.

Across the way(foreground) we are presented with Purple Wriath-fruit a soft but scally exterior that gives way to violet meat-like flesh. Next to the Wraith-fruit is a fresh-unrendered fish and Jauracht cuts. even closer to the viewer is a radially arranged pile of green Okra-pods. a soft and leathery skin covers moist free floating seeds.

The buildings are plastic printed over carbon-fiber or steel skeletons. Doors and windows are irregular to emulate the nesting chambers their ancestors favored. Houses are fitted with ports for Sucuva trees to grow through further anchoring homes to the ground and making their fruit available to the residence; sort of like if your house had an apply tree growing through it. Due to the freedom of form of these modular homes, residences can be stacked upon each other. One family's roof is another's deck, being able to fly also means complex infrastructure isn't necessary. grouped Perching bars function as smoking & drinking seats for adults and rowdy teens alike.

    Idris creatures by Avian-king
    [IMG]
    First submission of 2020
Some assorted creatures from Idris IV.
When writing some entries in my WA I realized I didn't have enough tertiary species within my realm.

    A. Brahminy Oriengo- medium-large Quadralipennate dwelling in the river basins of Sarvos. The flamboyant Brahminy Oriengo is a whimsical creature with its red-brown and golden feathers, long red legs, and golden eyes peeking out from bulbous periscopes on a bald head. The back of the head pinches into a mild bony shield behind which blooms a small pom-crest. Groups of these Quadralipennates pump their lamellate inner jaws through shallow fresh or saltwater snapping up crustaceans and fish. Brahminy Oriengos wade on their scaly hind limbs to keep the mud and silt out of their wings.
In flight the animals hold their necks outstretched, creating racaus nasally calls as they move between feeding sites. These the Oriengo are quite gregarious and nest and roost in trees and shrubs with other large wading Qaudralipennates.

    B. The Garto is a lively and docile cyannosium found on the steppes of Amako and tundra and tiaga of Uras. The Gartos seek out habitat on the fringes of open spaces, such as fields, meadows, and farms, but can adapt to other habitats.
At a glance Gartos resemble potatoes covered in cotton, their form is much more obscured as they dart about in the twilight.
Gartos stand a miniscule 7 inches(12.5cm), balancing on 4 rabbit-like legs. Their first set of limbs are naked and end in short-clawed hands. The hands are used to hold vegetable matter up to their small mouths or pin down prey.
Omnivores they forage at all hours on ground hugging grasses, herbs, windfall, and smaller soft bodied animals. In winter, their diet becomes a bit coarse and consists of bark, twigs, and buds.
During the day, Gartos often remain hidden in vegetation. Their large external ears are not only good for heat dissipation, but for hearing predators sneaking overhead. If they feel as though they are being threatened Gartos will flee in a zigzag pattern, sometimes reaching speeds of up to 18 miles an hour. Females give birth in burrows or crevices lined with fur, to helpless and blind puggles. The puggles feed on their mother’s milk for their first 2-3 weeks. These adorable babies are easy prey for desperate predators. Fortunately, Garto breed three or four times every year and produce three to eight young each time. Puggles mature rapidly and are self-sufficient after only four or five weeks. They are sexually mature after only two or three months, so populations are able to grow with staggering speed.

    C. Ephroanda are tree-dwelling cyannosiums belonging to the subclass Ulolactetheria (um) (woolly milk beasts). They have long, slender primary, secondary and tertiary limbs terminating in equally long digits and claws. The caudal appendage also bears a claw to further anchor the heavy bodied Euphroanda. The long-curved claws promote an arboreal lifestyle.
Their limbs are adapted for hanging and grasping, not for supporting their weight on the forest floor. Once on the forest floor they “inch” their way along. Muscles make up only 25 to 30 percent of their total body weight. Most other Ulolactetheria have a muscle mass that makes up 40 to 45 percent of the total body weight.
The head is small(in comparison), with large, side-swiveling eyes. The jaws are toothless only equipped with horny pads and a long brush-tipped tongue. The pharyngeal jaw has largely atrophied into a sheath for the tongue when not in use.
The ears lack pinnae and are covered in dense cryptically coloured fur.
During the day Ephroanda spend most of the day curled up in tree hollows or hanging inconspicuously under branches. At night, they spend most of their time up in the trees foraging for soft fruits, tender leaves, epiphytes, nectar and sap.
Ephroanda are shy, nocturnal, solitary animals found in the tropical forests of northern Sarvos. Consequently, very little is known about their behavior. They are herbivorous and eat leaves, shoots, flowers, sap, and fruit. They have well-developed stomachs and long intestines capable of extracting nutrients from leaves and other fibrous material.
Unlike most Ulolactetherians, Ephroandas give birth to miniature versions of themselves instead of helpless young. The babies are capable of climbing and clinging about their mother and father, feeding on the milk-like secretion that oozes from globular glands under the parent’s neck. They spend the first 2 months of life clinging to their parent’s bodies. The young do not reach maturity until they are two to three years old and typically live up to 15 years in the wild.

    D. Glaaculs are large green beasts looking like something out of a Lewis Carrol storybook.
They stand a generous 7ft tall when standing on their hind legs and tail.
Glaaculs hail from the forests of Caross occupying the niche of earth’s sloth and sun bears.
Using their primary and secondary limbs to demolish the nests of eusocial Arthrolobostomas, gouge trees for sap or collect large fruits.

The bird-like head is covered in pink and purple skin. Atop the head is not only the nostrils but also two curling spade-like crests. The crests are used in con specific identification. The mouth lacks teeth, instead it is packed with horny protrusions functioning as grinding surfaces. Much like their relatives the Ephoanda, their pharyngeal jaw has become a protective casing for their extremely long prehensile tongue, which is used to lap up liquids, and draw small prey into the jaws.
The head sits atop a long tapering neck leading into a wide mildly medially compressed body. The dappled green fur of the body makes spotting the Glaacul surprisingly difficult in its natural habitat. Sleeping individuals may be tripped over due to their resemblance to a mass of vegetation.

Glaaculs are solitary by nature. The females managing all parenting duties within the male’s territory. She digs a den or prepares space in a cave. She may become less interactive, or easily agitated, disinterested in food, defend the cubbing area and sleep more. These behaviors correlated with hormonal changes. These beasts adapt their sleep-wake cycle to their environment and may be on a nocturnal, diurnal or crepuscular schedule depending on how many other Glaaculs, or predators share their habitat.

    E. Haeshi
are small (15in tall) Gerucrinians(an older class of egg-laying fur bearers) originating from the rainforests of Reen, Nilrec and Jabin.
The primary limbs are reduced into rodent-like paws, the secondary limbs have atrophied into oblivion, and the tertiary pair are elongate and grouse-like.

The primary or external jaws are keratized, resembling a horny beak. Within the beak are 4 pairs of semi-conical teeth. When the beak is holding seeds, nuts or plant matter in place the teeth take bites out. Fallen fruit, nuts, seeds, and tubers and sprouts make up the entirety of the diet.
The eyes are large and adapted to the small amount of light coming onto the forest floor. Although capable of nocturnal activity; Haeshi are diurnal activists, during the nightshift they take refuge in fallen trees, logs, or burrows.
The dorsal appendage has bloomed into a saddle of downy hairs. A brood pouch sits bellow this “bun” where eggs are incubated, and subsequent offspring develop.

If they are directly encountered by a predator, the Haeshi will raise hairs on their “bun” to appear larger; if a predator tries to bite this large tuft of hair, they will miss the skin and it will have a greater chance of escaping.
Haeshi live in family groups consisting of parents and their shared offspring. However Social Haesi do not take well to completing groups. Should one unit approach another it is seen as a presumably provocative action. In combat, Haeshi of the same sex may run towards each other, leap just before they make contact, and kick each other with their strong hind legs, which can cause serious damage to both fighters. In the presence of predators, however, their main defense is to flee, as they repeat high-pitched barks to warn family within the territory.

    Glauconotans Genus Members by Avian-king
    [IMG]
Carossian Sucan hail from the peninsula of Caross. The common crested ancestor flew in from what is now Sarvos some odd million years ago. There are 4 recognized species belonging to the genus Glauconotans (blue-green backs), the Nuun, Nilrec, Jabin, Jabin minor, and Mierme
The species vary in size, plumage and locality.

The Nuun population is a brilliant green, with a blue crown and crest. The throat-breast and undercarriage is golden yellow.
These are the smallest of the Carossians, dwelling in the low tropical wetlands of Nuun. The Nuun occur in much greater frequency when feeding and breeding. Almost all Nuun families consist of 3 adults and their oldest offspring, this makes watching out for predators and chick rearing much more efficient.

Nilrec population aka (Bronzewings) are the largest of the genus. They favor cloud forests of Nilrec. Their population radiates from the peaks and pillars of the land. An outsider would be absolutely blown away by the large golden forms flying between the great stones. These Sucan feed on wall clinging vegetation, fruits and livestock. Arguably the most conspicuous of the Carossians they do not occur to commonly in mixed metropolis cities.

Jabin Major and Jabin Minor species are pretty similar in expression, though being separated by some points of higher elevation the Jabin Major population has developed some key differences.

The higher elevation population have a pale head, wine-coloured gorget and a yellow-orange underside. The Jabin minor population has a sooty green colouration about the head, crest and nape, and an ash white face. Another key difference is the occurrence of an extending bare patch reaching from the eye to the corners of the maw.

The Mierme species or “red breasts,” are the second largest Carossian species. Much like most Carossians they are blue-green based with pale heads. The crest feathers have red tips a hue similar to the throat and breast. They occur in the central portion of Caross. This is a tropical woodland biome- not dissimilar to the forests of Australia. The Miermians are responsible for the Carossian Conservatory (a religion I have written about on WA).
