The Hondayans exhibit elongated uni-horn and on the tip of their skull protrudes a rostral bone resembling a large bony dome sometimes covered in hair. This race is wrapped by dark pink fur and blue scales based on utilized to protect them from the weak radiation of their dwarf red sun. The evolution of their home-world (moon – Kerivan), to deal with the lack of sunlight, created the dark almost completely black flora and fauna that helps the biosphere to absorb a huge amount of energy coming from the flaccid star. Due to this issue, the Hondayan race is exposed to radiation outside their system, while visiting other worlds, and can lead to drastic consequences. Eventually, the species became carriers of a new disease, unknown to galactic science before. Named the Dwarf Star Syndrome, the malady resembled cancer; however, it spread from one individual to another like a plague wiping out an enormous amount of Hondayan population. To date, the creatures are on quarantine and the cure for an unusual disease has not yet been invented

Interestingly, the skull protects not the brain of the creature that is quite usual for some of the species but hollow organ responsible for air filtration, the brain, on the other hand, is prolonged throughout the whole body and resemble complex filaments. Males usually possess longer skulls than their female counterparts and more varied colorations
