Mephisto
First Appearance: The Silver Surfer #3 (December 1968)

An eldritch abomination with no known origin, imbued with massive mystical abilities but forbidden from using them freely. They went by many titles and names, but the one they were most fond of was the human given moniker of "Mephisto." Ruling a realm of darkness, Mephisto's power was sealed in ages past, preventing them from using their reality warping abilities on anything but those beings who deliberately submitted themselves to their will. It was through one such pact that Mephisto bound the being called Zarathos to the man named Johnny Blaze, transforming him into the Ghost Rider that prowled Earth's nights.

Requiring a steady diet of souls to sustain themselves, it was to this purpose that Mephisto pledged their allegiance to the blackened hordes of the Cull Obsidian and their master, Thanos. Mephisto was unable to tap into the powers of Infinity on their own and cut off from the cycle of life and death that powered Eternity, and as such, Dr. Strange, the foremost Sorcerer Supreme of the universe, believed that Mephisto was acting as a guide to the Mad Titan in a gambit to wrest control of the well of existence from Death.

Mephisto's true form is an enigma, and they are capable of assuming any form they wish in order to achieve their goals. The visage seen here would be a form intended to pray on the fears and insecurities of man, not necessarily their true form. Gender has no meaning to Mephisto, and the form taken here is feminine.

So I may have gone a little overboard this time. Mephisto was a tricky one for me because I wasn't sure for the longest time how to approach him. I had a sketch rendered out of him as a relatively normal looking man in a suit, as a traditional 'tempter.' But I thought this was boring and ended up just redoing the character entirely from scratch when I started the final pass. I wanted something more otherworldly looking, and I just ended up pushing the envelope harder and harder until I came out with this.

Mephisto, in my eyes, had to be something so awful that he could only be absolutely horrific looking, and by the time I was done I ended up with something that only sort of looks like Mephisto from a silhouette factor. But everything is not what you'd expect. The horn like hair becomes this horned mask, the collar and cape are some sort of fleshy construct coming out of their back, the loincloth becomes their ultra long hair looped around their body. The decision to have Mephisto take a female form came from Baphomet's depiction in the Sabbatic Goat or whatever, where it was both male and female, with breasts. So Mephisto's form here has breasts, though covered by their hair because this is not a mature rated gallery! I like to believe that while their form here is feminine, their voice would still be aggressively masculine sounding.

And then I had their stomach torn open to show you the souls that Mephisto has eaten to sustain their self. But the souls are still alive, so they're reaching out and trying to escape. The liquid around Mephisto's mouth suggests they recently had a soul to snack on I think.

Yeah I think this is probably the most "out there" redesign I've done yet.

Yep, character 148 of the Spider-Man Project: the Red Goblin!

Two events were in the back of Peter's mind--the fire that destroyed the lab of Jonas Harrow and claimed his life, and the fire that destroyed Vincent Stegron's Alchemax lab that resulted in him transforming himself and his assistants into reptilians to save their lives. On their own these fires were unusual, with fires of frighteningly high temperatures, but there was a thoroughfare that kept Peter from dismissing them as mere accidents or coincidences. It was an open secret that Jonas Harrow had been hard at work creating a spider that could replicate the accident that led to Spider-Man's creation, and Stegron had been working with the original black suit. Someone or something was targeting things that had to do with Peter's past exploits. Peter did not like the implications one bit.

One month after the Hypno-Hustler incident, it was the middle of summer break. Peter had his hands full preparing the next school year's curriculum, while MJ was a little busy with being nine months pregnant. Their kid was a week or two overdue at this point but it just did not seem to be time yet. And that was when it happened--the Flatiron building, the former home of the Daily Bugle and the site of the Spider-Man memorial statue in its lobby that Aunt May and Jameson had paid for, was ravaged by a fire. The statue, which depicted Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, Spider-Gwen, and the Scarlet Spider, seemed to be the target, and it had been melted down to slag. The fire ended up destroying much of the lobby but luckily the Flatiron building was saved from collapsing entirely. Eyewitness accounts from survivors were not much help, the perpetrator apparently being so horrifying that it defied words.

Getting more than a little worried, Peter drove MJ to Gwen's apartment on the other side of town to stay for a little while, at least until he could figure out what was going on. Remembering he still had some triangulation tech in his office at Midtown High, he drove there. But on his way, he saw an unusually high amount of cop cars and fire trucks heading his same direction and Peter realized he was too late.

By the time he reached Midtown, it was already engulfed in an inferno. The firefighters tried their best to douse the flames but they were so hot that the water was vaporizing before it could even touch them. Triggering Peter's spider sense, a huge ball of flame flew out of the burning schoolhouse at the police and firefighters, knocking a ton of them back. The ones still standing saw him at the same time Peter did. Silhouetted in flames was the dark form of an enormous demonic figure. It was difficult to tell because of the flames and it was already pretty dark out, but he seemed to be red in color. He had a long tail and hideous wings that kept him aloft as he hurled balls of fire at the would be fire and rescue teams. He seemed to have the ability to generate intense flames.

But the worst of it all, was the laugh. The unearthly, sadistic laugh. A gut wrenching cackle that struck fear into everyone there. It was different, but to Peter it was all too familiar.

Osborn.

Whatever red goblin he had transformed himself into, Peter could recognize that laugh anywhere, no matter how monstrous it became. When the Red Goblin seemed to spot Peter his already wicked smile got larger and more twisted. The Red Goblin spoke, wondering aloud that if Peter was *here*, then that meant... And with another cackle, the Red Goblin flew away into the night.

Peter did not have time to wonder what Osborn had done to himself or even how he was still alive, but he did not have to think long to realized what twisted plan Osborn had--he was not trying to kill Peter, he was instead trying to destroy everything else in his life first. And that meant his apartment complex was the next target now that Osborn knew he was not there. He was correct to have had MJ moved out, but there were still the other tenants and now their lives were in mortal peril. He had not brought his costume or webs with him, so he could not move as fast as he could normally, but on the way he made a call into his old government contacts about what he had learned and for them to send in the big guns. This was the real deal.

When Peter arrived at his apartment building it was still in tact, and there was no sign of any fire starting. But a blackened singe mark in the pavement nearby suggested the Red Goblin was near, and people were fleeing the streets surrounding the building. The building's lobby was completely empty save two people. One was Osborn, in human form, or at least the closest thing he could muster. He was nude, and his body was covered in sickly red veins. His hair was gone, and a blacked red liquid seeped from his eyes, nose, and mouth. Peter had never seen him in worse condition, he looked like a walking corpse. He was holding the building's super hostage, a single hand holding her by the throat. She was pleading to be let go.

Osborn smiled when he saw Peter enter the building. Peter demanded he let the super go, but Osborn just laughed and told Peter he was going to tell him a story. A story about a man who started with nothing and built a corporate empire from scraps and clawed his way to the top. A man who had earned everything in his life the right way, by hard work and determination. But along came a spider whose power was an accident. Who owed this accident to the man but would not lift a finger to help him, to acknowledge him. Instead the spider tore down everything that the man had created, his business, his family, his life. And now the little spider thought he could build up his own life with his ill gotten gift? Would it not be ironic if the man then took something of the spider's and tore down the spider's life the way the spider had done to him?

Shaking his head, Peter just told Osborn that that was not how he remembered it. He remembered a tale about a kid and a goblin. A goblin who disguised himself as a man, who took the kid in as an apprentice only to use him for his own personal gain. A goblin who had killed the kid's girlfriend when the kid talked back to him. A goblin who had poisoned his own son's mind to the point of madness and death. A goblin who tortured, maimed, and killed all in order to exert his own control over the kid's life. A goblin who would violently take over an entire city with clones, or a goblin army, or whatever just to exact petty revenge on a kid he could never control. A goblin who had no one to blame for his current misfortunes other than himself.

Once again, Peter demanded the super let go, this had nothing to do with her or everyone else in the building. This was between Peter and Osborn. Osborn said on the contrary--Peter's selfishness in involving all of these innocent bystanders in his life was going to be their undoing. Before Peter insult him back, his phone started ringing in his pocket. Osborn smiled and his eyes lit like a fire. His skin started steaming as his body temperature raised, and said, "answer it." His grip on the super's throat tightened, his skin now getting hot enough to singe her neck.

Peter felt out of options. There was no telling what Osborn was capable of, and he did not have webshooters on him--most of his remaining costume and equipment were in his apartment. He pulled out his phone, and Osborn tightened his grip even more as the super whimpered, and Osborn told Peter to put it on speaker so they could all hear.

It was Gwen. She was calling to let Peter know that she had taken MJ to the hospital--it was time, the baby was coming now whether they were ready or not. Peter cut off Gwen before she could say what hospital and just said he'd meet them there.

Hanging up, Peter's mind started racing, and he could see that Osborn could tell Peter was troubled, as he started laughing. Peter said he let Osborn hear the phone call, now it was his turn to let the super go. Osborn smiled, and said they had no such deal. The heat around Osborn started reaching fever pitch as a bubbling red liquid oozed out of every pore in his body and Peter watched first hand as he transformed into the monstrous Red Goblin. Peter lunged at him but it was too late, and the super's head was incinerated nearly instantly by the Red Goblin's grip. As he dropped her corpse to the ground, the heat from the Red Goblin's mere presence set the lobby ablaze. Peter was knocked to the ground by the Red Goblin's tail as the heat made it difficult to even stand near him. As the Red Goblin towered over Peter, shots suddenly rang out into the Red Goblin's chest, knocking him back.

The government agents that Peter had called earlier had arrived, and they were wasting no time in trying to subdue Osborn. But nothing they had seemed to work. They could knock him back, but he would just get right back up. Osborn exited the burning lobby to the streets where armored vehicles and heavily armed secret agents awaited him. But the agents and armor were no match for the full might of the Red Goblin, his physical might tossing them like ragdolls and his fireballs melting their armor like they were nothing. Peter attempted to join them against the Red Goblin, but even touching him would burn severely. The Red Goblin swatted them away like flies, and took to the skies. He told Peter that maybe it was time for him to pay the new mother to be a visit, and he was gone.

Peter knew he had to give chase, and told the government agents left to assist in saving the people in the now fully ablaze apartment while he dealt with Osborn. Before he left, the agents gave him an unfinished Spider-Man mask he had been working on before he left the government as well as an extra set of webshooters. As Peter swung away, dressed for his last stand, he did not know how he was going to stop Osborn, but if he had to, he was going down swinging.

So a very long time coming, this one! We're heading into the absolute endgame now, something I have been planning since the very beginning of this project. The Spider-Man Project was always planned to have an ending, and now we are finally getting there!

But some of the *exact* specifics about this have taken longer to pin down. Osborn was always, always, always going to be the "final boss." He has to be. He's Peter's archenemy, and he is the one who started the whole ball rolling originally. But what form would he take? Well, originally I was not planning on a new form at all, I was just going with normal ass Green Goblin. But I decided that was boring, and had considered going for broke and making him transform into the Ultimate Green Goblin. And the plan at the time was that he would not have his own character entry and his new form would only appear in the extra that is coming and it would all be told there. But eventually I realized that would be kind of selling him short--after all, Doc Ock's finale with Superior Spider-Man got his own entry, and Venom got his own final boss with Venom II. So Osborn should get his own. So this character entry is actually kinda not originally part of the original 150 character plan, so I just, uh... added an extra character. So there are now 151 characters total. No more are going to be added in, it's just now 151 instead of 150. So lucky you have *three* more character entries after this one, instead of two! I had been keeping a lid on it for a while but I decided that I better tell you before I get there.

(I had previously told someone I had no more Goblins as character entries planned after the Goblin Knight, and that was true at the time, the Red Goblin's entry was not created until well after I had said that)

And yeah, I had originally chosen to make him the Ultimate Green Goblin. But ever since the introduction of the Red Goblin in the comics a couple years ago I had kept that form in the back of my mind as well. But I had settled on the Ultimate Green Goblin as I figured his bigger, more imposing form would be more impressive as a final boss. But on the other hand, I realized that tying the symbiotes together with the goblin would be a good way to tie the two main story threads in my Spider-Man project--the inheritors and the symbiotes--into the final confrontation. The entirety of all of the story and themes coming together as one beast. And that was how I decided to merge my Ultimate Green Goblin idea with the Red Goblin and create what you see here. The final design is basically a mixture of the Ultimate Green Goblin, Into the Spider-Verse's Green Goblin, and the Red Goblin, into one, single, unholy abomination.

(and yes, the symbiotes are involved here, which will be explained in the next extra)

The main goal I had in this design was something just apocalyptic. Something just absolutely biblical from Peter's perspective. The absolute day of reckoning for Spider-Man in the form of a goblin monster, every single bad thing that he had faced in the past merged into one terrifying beast.

Hey, look at that, it is finally here! This is obviously following right after the Red Goblin character entry.

Dressed in his makeshift Spider-Man costume, Peter web swung as fast as he could through the streets of New York City. He figured he knew what hospital Gwen had brought MJ to, but the closer he got to it the more sure he was that Osborn knew which hospital it was, too. The Red Goblin left swathes of flame and destruction in his wake everywhere he went, and it was getting worse and worse the closer he got. He just hoped that he could get there before Osborn burned the building to the ground.

When he finally saw the hospital, it was good news and bad news. The bad news was that the Red Goblin had gotten to the hospital parking lot. The good news was that he had not reached the building proper due to the presence of more government agents fighting him off with their armored vehicles, Peter reasoning that they had likely had MJ under secret protection when Peter called them in. The agents were putting up a valiant fight, but it was playing out similarly to the last time the Red Goblin had tangled with their coworkers, ripping their vehicles apart and melting their armor to slag.

Peter was moving as fast as he could, but he could tell that by the time he reached the hospital it would be too late. In a last ditch effort, Peter, while still swinging, grabbed a manhole cover with a free web and whipped it at Osborn faster than he had ever web thrown anything before. Just as Osborn lifted off the ground to fly over the defeated government agents, the manhole cover struck, ripping a nasty hole through one of his hideous wings, sending Osborn spiraling to the ground.

Osborn staggered back to his feet, and by the time he got back up, Peter was standing between him and the hospital. While swinging in, Peter saw Gwen in the lobby, looking on, confirming for real that this was the hospital. MJ was in there, going into labor. Peter felt like his heart was in his throat when he saw Osborn limp towards him. Osborn's chest was glowing in an even more rapid fashion as the hole in his wing started to reform. His body seemed to reach even higher temperatures as he was healing. Peter figured that was the ticket, he needed to cool Osborn down somehow. As Peter frantically searched for something to use, Osborn laughed.

Dodging Osborn's relentless attacks, Peter moved as quickly as he could to a nearby fire hydrant, and kicked it open, the gushing water striking Osborn in the face, unleashing a cloud of steam. Peter could not tell if he hurt Osborn or just disoriented him, but as he tried to move to another angle Osborn stumbled out of the steam cloud and struck Peter with his tail, sending him flying into one of the cars in the parking lot. Still batting away the billowing steam, Osborn turned back to the hospital, ignoring Peter.

Before the Red Goblin reached the stairs of the hospital, the entrance was suddenly blocked by a damn car. Peter, so full of righteous fury, had actually lifted a car and tossed it at Osborn. Before Osborn could even comprehend what had happened he was struck in the face by a car door that Peter had grabbed off another car and swung into his face as Peter web slung back in between Osborn and the hospital. With Osborn temporarily dazed Peter got behind the car he had thrown to the entrance and pushed it over onto Osborn down the steps of the hospital's entrance, pushing the Red Goblin further back.

The car was only a very temporary obstacle for Osborn, who melted the vehicle in two with his own hands. Peter was once again the only thing in between Osborn and the hospital, and he now had the manhole cover he had thrown at Osborn earlier (which landed near the entrance) webbed around his arm like a makeshift shield. Osborn just laughed at the webhead's last stand. He said he was really hoping to leave Peter for last, but he was just too damn stubborn. He had to end it here and now.

The two of them threw down, Peter desperately using the manhole cover to strike blows on Osborn to protect himself from the intense heat, but eventually the Red Goblin proved to be too much, and knocked Peter to the ground in front of the lobby doors. Osborn rained fist after fist down on Peter who was still using the manhole cover to protect himself, but the Red Goblin's strength was so great that he was forcing Peter into a small crater in the ground with every blow. The webbing holding the manhole cover finally gave way with one final strike, and Peter was left barely conscious on the ground as Osborn lorded over him.

Feeling full of himself, Osborn thought to continue his story he had been telling Peter earlier. The story about how he had become the Red Goblin. He had actually salvaged the inheritance sphere he had attempted to use in the Gathering of Five incident those five years ago, but it had been heavily damaged. While laying low he had come into contact with Jonas Harrow while he was working at Alchemax and had hired him to try to fix the inheritance sphere, in exchange for giving Harrow some of the secrets that had gone into the production of the OZ spider that had bitten Peter.

Harrow had managed to extract the "true inheritance" from the sphere, but it was not in a usable form. It needed a catalyst to bond to, and that came in the form of the Spider-Carnage symbiote that Ben Reilly had been bonded to by Edward Brock Senior. It had been given to Alchemax after the Gibbon incident that had injured Peter and forced him into semi retirement, and Osborn helped Harrow confiscate it from Alchemax after he was fired by the corporation. It took some time to get it to work, but Harrow succeeded in merging the true inheritance with the symbiote and they bonded it to Osborn.

And thus was the Red Goblin born--the one true inheritor. It granted Osborn power far greater than any he could imagine, but it came at a cost. He could never be unbonded from the suit, and it would eventually burn his body out and destroy him. But it gave him just enough time to see his final revenge put into play. It took Osborn months to fully control the transformation, but he started his slow burning of everything related to Peter right from the get go, killing Harrow and destroying his lab as penance for even daring to think he could replicate Osborn's greatest work, Spider-Man. Stegron's lab was next, and so forth... Peter knew the rest.

Peter, still dazed, just laughed at Osborn. All that symbiote and inheritor junk was supposed to put him in control then, Peter asked? Osborn said that he was always in control, Peter just could never accept it.

Just as Osborn lifted his fist one last time to finish his old foe, a large steel cylinder suddenly found itself in Peter's hands. Before he could even question where it came from, Peter slammed it into Osborn's open palm and burst open in a cloud of liquid nitrogen. Osborn recoiled in pain, and Peter saw it was a young teenager from inside the hospital that had thrown the nitrogen tank to him. He was no older than his students, but that tank had been heavy. The teen was apparently a lot stronger than he looked, as he tossed another tank from inside the hospital to Peter.

The teen cheered Spider-Man on as Peter slung the second tank into the Red Goblin's mouth. Osborn bit down on it and it exploded, freezing much of his face. Using the opportunity, Peter flung the discarded manhole cover at the Red Goblin one last time and it shattered portions of the Red Goblin's face, dropping him to the ground.

For a second Peter felt like he had won, but the Red Goblin slowly raised his head and turned to Peter, his face reforming as the Red Goblin's body temperature rose even higher. There did not seem to be anything Peter could do to put him down. And Osborn did not seem to be in a smiling mood anymore. No more games.

With a lightning fast move, the Red Goblin grabbed Peter and lifted him off the ground as his body heat got higher and higher and Osborn's grip got tighter and tighter. Peter could feel his ribs starting to crack as the flames from Osborn's hands started burning through his coat. Just about blacking out, Peter thought that this was it, there was nothing more he could do. His bones were cracking and his webshooters were broken. He only hoped that they had time to evacuate enough people from the hospital and that they had moved MJ somewhere safe.

But when Osborn had burned a large enough hole for his symbiote covered hands to actually physically touch a part of Peter's skin, Peter suddenly felt something. He was not sure how, but he could sense something of Ben Reilly still in the Spider-Carnage symbiote that had been used to make the Red Goblin. It was the suit's genetic memory, and it still recognized Peter's genome through Ben Reilly's time bonded to it.

In an instant, Peter knew what to do, focusing on his connection to the symbiote. He succeeded in mentally connecting himself to it, even just for a brief moment, and the shock to Osborn's nervous system caused the Red Goblin to drop Peter as he tore away part of the symbiote that made up the Red Goblin's hand on the way down. The symbiote piece clung to Peter's body and he exerted enough control over it to reform over his hands.

Now with symbiote covering his hands, Peter ran to Osborn, who was still reeling and regrowing the half of his hand Peter had torn off, his body temperature raising even higher. Peter grappled with the Red Goblin, ripping chunks upon chunks of symbiote off of his body as Osborn screeched like a demon, his body temperature reaching an absolute fever pitch as he reformed himself. Peter had come to a realization--he did not need to lower Osborn's body temperature, he needed to raise it. The more of his body he needed to reform the higher his body temperature got, and this is what was going to eventually burn him out and kill him.

Osborn realized what Peter was doing, and grabbed hold of Peter with his one good hand as he forced more of his reforming symbiote to envelope Peter. His body was soon going to go nuclear, and he intended to take Peter and most of the hospital with him. Peter threw off his mask to the ground, and smiled at Osborn.

"Don't you get it? You're not in control anymore."

Osborn looked on in horror as Peter pulled more and more of the symbiote off of the Red Goblin's body, including his own wings, which reattached themselves to Peter's back. Peter used his new wings to lift the two of them into the air, higher and higher until they reached the cloud layer.

From the perspective of the onlookers at the hospital, the two of them were engulfed in an enormous explosion of fire in the clouds as Osborn's body completely melted down and detonated. The hospital was safe, but Spider-Man was gone.

With the Red Goblin finally gone, the fire fighters and other authorities got busy putting out the existing flames and rescuing the injured onlookers and federal agents.

...

...including one person who had apparently been caught in the crossfire while he was going to the hospital because his wife had gone into labor. He had been found nearby, severely burned, especially on his leg, and badly bruised with several broken bones. He did not have any identification on him, but he was recognized by the family friend who had brought his wife to the hospital--it was Peter Parker, just barely alive.

Peter had succeeded in getting Osborn airborne, but knew he could not let it end there. He had a kid coming and he needed to be there for them. With his last ounce of strength, Peter separated himself from the symbiote entirely and kicked off of Osborn with his bad leg and fell to the ground, the brightness of the explosion covering his fall from onlookers.

When he regained consciousness, it was the next day, and he found Gwen sitting by his side. Gwen told him to not look down at his legs, but he did anyway--his bad leg was gone. Gwen explained that the doctors had to amputate it, it was too badly mangled and burned from Peter kicking off of Osborn at the last second. But he was lucky to be alive. Gwen also said that his Spider-Man coat must have been burned off in the battle, as he had no article of clothing on him identifying him as Spider-Man when the EMTs found him. The public thought Spider-Man was dead. It was all over the news. Looking down at his lost leg, Peter said, "Well, maybe he is now."

Peter asked about MJ, and Gwen smiled, and helped him into a wheelchair and the two of them wheeled down to the wing of the hospital where MJ had been taken to. Opening the door, Peter saw that MJ was awake, and holding a little baby girl in her arms. After seeing Peter, MJ smiled as tears welled in her eyes, and asked if he wanted to hold her.

Delicately taking his newborn daughter in his arms, Peter asked if she had named her yet. MJ said that was something they should really do together.

And together, the two of them came up with a name--May.

And there you have it, the epic conclusion(?) of this story, something I've been building up to for a long, long time, something I've wanted to tell for a while. But why the question mark after conclusion? Because the story is not actually over yet! There are still three character entries left and two extras left. Where will that take us? You'll see!

So in the end, Peter does not die. But Spider-Man does. At least, as far as the public is aware. This had always been my plan since the beginning of this project, so it was tricky keeping a tight lid on it. I had played with making you think that Peter died at the end of this extra and only revealing that he was alive later but I did not really want to string you guys along like that, that seemed cruel. And I wanted it to be an overall happy ending with the birth of May.

The actual picture took a while to come up with the perfect way of selling this "last stand of Spider-Man" that I wanted. The final result is something I'm really happy with, got to experiment with some different techniques to make it come out the way I wanted it. The Red Goblin is just this absolutely terrifying imposing figure standing above the miniscule Spider-Man standing up to him.

Disney Warrior Princesses

The Land of Heroes hadn't seen a Villain or Spawn in ages. The next generation assumed that they all vanished and don't exist in their new world. However, that all changed when Lucian Frollo somehow journeyed through the barrens and past all the nightmare fuel. Naturally the counsel were left with questions. Why is he here? Are there more of him out there? Was he magical? How'd he evade the nightmare fuel? ---WHY DOES HE KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT EVERYONE'S TIMELINES!?
Never the less the royals had Lucian imprisoned until further notice, despite Lucian's claims that he didn't mean harm.

The Dragon Slayer Princess, Felicity volunteered to guard the Spawn and investigate his plans-- if he had any at all. Lucian was quiet during his stay. The questions he did answer was that he left due to exile. He had done something in the Shadowlands that could have doomed all of the villains who dwell there. He had gotten word of heroes existing after all, but only needed to go and see for himself, risking his life to face the demonic nightmare fuel. Felicity then asked how he knew facts from everyone's timelines. Even hers. As far as she knew Lucian hadn't met anyone. He explained how everyone had multiple timelines they once lived in all with slight alterations by their choices along their path. He himself only had 1 where he renounced his ties to his father Claude Frollo, one he himself wasn't even sure really existed, the rest he was dead before he was born. So most of his life spans were as a spirit and he could see things no mortals could since his life was robbed so many times. Felicity didn't know if she could quite understand this young man. This was all so meta. Even she didn't know what happened in all her timelines. It was like trying to recall a past life.

But she knew one thing for sure.... this Spawn was no villain.

Her father, King Philip trusted his daughter many times in regards to handling dangerous tasks herself. But this one he admitted got under his skin. He recalled having to deal with Maleficent's Spawn, Prince Damien in a past timeline--- Something Lucian seemed to already know somehow!! He was getting protective of her for once fearing it was unwise getting mixed up in another villain's spawn. Aurora had her reservations too, but Lucian hadn't done or said anything to her daughter that put her off. So she'd watch from a distance to see for herself what her daughter saw in this spawn.

I thought I wouldn't make anymore heirs--- I have too many of them! But here we are.

Coyote: Son of Kronk and Birdwell. Biult like an ox he acts as a training instructor to the heirs in their training observing their skills in combat, magic, and deeds. He then helps make connections for the heirs to go down their paths and new mentors. Unlike his dad, Coyote actually is pretty smart. Gets it from his mum. Some give him a hard time because he's the son of a former villain, but many find him to be outgoing.

Zaniya: The spoiled daughter of Kuzco and Malina. Many princess's have grace, many princesses have courage. Zaniya has money! When Yzma was overthrown the young empress took over her laboratory, giving her all sorts of things to cause some chaos. If someone ticks her off-- poof!- they're a lizard for the day! She likes giving her bodyguard, Coyote, a hard time. She feels he has to loosen up. When she sees something she wants she usually gets it. Her father and her see eye to eye more often than not, and he sees no issue in giving her stuff. Her mother a little more stricter, and thus is hard on her for wasting her time in not improving her grades, skills, and general good behavior. Zaniya usually ignores her, not understanding why she can't be more like her dad. In the Land of heroes she self proclaimed herself as Amira's best friend hoping she could court her brother, Jamal. This boy was everything she could dream of. Hot, rich, and knows how to have loads of fun! Amira appreciates the friendship, but finds Zaniya to be a bratty friend most of the time.

Alita: Denahi's daughter. The young girl had been training under the wise woman Tanana hoping one day she could be one too. She was already showing signs of her future totem, the wolf of wisdom after all. To test her to see from all sides, the wise woman took her apprentice to the top of the mountain and allowed her to take shape of her totem. There she was told to seek out her uncle Kenai and see what life is like in the wild now he had chosen to embrace his totem. The young wolf was unsure of herself. But her father told her if anything happened he would change into his totem too and aid her. That gave the wolf some encouragement and she set off. Eventually she came into contact with her cousin, Miska. Though she spent her life as a bear it never occurred to her she had a human form laying dormant inside. Suddenly the spirits touched down and changed the cub into a human. Alita was beyond confused, this couldn't have been a part of her test, she didn't know how to help her on her own, their goal was to find the wise woman and see how she could reverse the effects on her cousin. The poor girl couldn't even speak human properly, too much time as a bear.

Yang is the youngest of her cousins and has a tendency to pick fights no matter how big the person she's talking to is. Easily the apple of her papa's eye.
Zhen is a wise cracking prince. Tends to be laid back but still gets his work done. He has a crush on Jia.
Last, Sying. She was sent to study at a convent to improve her studies as a princess. She fears she'll never be good enough because all she wants is to cook and be with family. She ends up meeting Ping when he is disguised as a girl to cover for his sister who swapped places with him in the military. He helps boost her self esteem and falls in love with her.

Detractors criticized these efforts as wasteful and expensive. My Marcone is modeled after Ray Wise, the actor who played the Devil in the short-lived series Reaper. First time I read the character's description he immediately popped up in mind.
