"550 BC, Babylon

After a bloody siege, The alliance of the Scythian hordes and Persians ravaged the once invincible Babylon.
Amorges, in the manner of the Scythian, rained death from his saddle, amongst the Wicked, upon the Sinners.
His winged companions, Gog and Magog, clawed, bit and ripped apart all that stood in their way, soaring on the heat of the flames around them.
On his armor, and on his face Amorges donned the Shade of Black of the Tribe of Joseph, descendants of the Patriarch Jacob, as a reminder of a divine but forgotten heritage.

A heritage he would meet again in the burning ashes of Babylon, standing proud and unshackled from the Babylonian Tyranny.
An Empire so vile and godless was wiped of the face of the earth, and from its ashes the Persian Achaemenid Empire would rise.
Those previously captured would have their freedom returned. But for how long, until such a new great nation will be corrupted by the Heritage of Babylon?"

"Some time ago since i had the time to work on personal imagery. I have been swamped with freelance and i felt my personal creativity got a bit rusty, so i forced myself to pump this one out. I bought the ''Hermetic Tarot'' deck after being blown away by the art, and prompted myself to create artwork inspired by the cards from the deck.


For this artwork, i was inspired by the ''Knight of Wands'' card. My aim is to start pushing myself to make more of these, inspired by Tarot, and hopefully make a deck out of it eventually.

Art background: a ''Bagathur'' (meaning hero in old Turkic) from Ancient Khazaria, around 800 AD, after their conversion to monotheism.

''We embrace our new god with every fiber of our being, and carry him closest to our heart, however, ancestral stirrings still speak to, guide our hand, teach our children, grow our crops, and defeat our enemies''."

"So here it is, my first finished battle scene ever; The Battle of the Catalaunian fields, where the titanic clash between Attila the Hun (Left) and the Romans (Right) was fought. It took some time to perfect it to my image; to get the movement, readability and other fundamentals flow with each other perfectly.

"As Amorges closed his eyes, the steppe, warriors and horses around him changed to another space and time, a vision of ages yet to come.

16th century, Bulgaria

The Scythians have been reduced from mighty steppe warriors to small secluded tribes, living in mountains, swamps and forests.
While some tribes have vanished from history, a few have found ancient powers where they roamed.
One of these tribes was the Sapphire Horde.
They settled in the Bulgar forests, who was, unbeknownst to them home to the Fallen Angel Leraikka. She promised them, as any other Grigori, power in return for servitude.
Wanting to regain their ancient dominance in the world, the Sapphire horde accepted. centuries passed, the forest intermingled with the Scythians; cordycepts grew from their limbs, granting them strength and resilience. Only the healthy and the strong could survive such a gift at old age without getting consumed by it.

Contemplating his heritage, Amorges knelt down besides an ancient Scythian statue, once a pillar of steppe-nomad civilisation, now overgrown with trees, fungus and decay. His father, a withered old man now, held the great Crown of the Sapphire Horde and placed it on Amorges' head
He looked at his palm and saw the mark Leraikka gave him since birth. A white rose, for the goddess ' chosen warrior. Amorges was about to be crowned king of the newly formed Amyrgian Horde, and bring glory again to Scythians. He would release any oaths and bonds of ancestry he made and follow his new goddess.
Under the burden of his blessing he felt weak, but still, he could not wait to ride again, out of the forests, into the fire."
