Going into the third period at 2-4 (Nashville leading) and then winning 6-4. I told Mick that I wanted a copy of whatever speech the coach made to the Coytotes to get them motivated. She said it was simple. They just brought Vader (Who I would have loved to see there on the ice, but oh well) into the locker room and said "You lose, you get to explain it to him why it happened."

 

Subjugator, that's actually pretty cool. Except according to the guy that reported it, Jody was Luke Skywalker.

As a side note someone else thought our Tie Pilot was Lord Vader!

Mick, you're right that was our glorious sergeant that... um... no comment. Nothing to see here, move along, move along.

Obey Wann, it didn't go as well as it was supposed to, there was too much mascot favoritism. There was supposed to be 8 DSG vs 8 mascots on the ice and at the last minute they cut our team to 3 of us and 5 mascots vs 8 mascots. Their excuse was that they thought we were too mobile and it wouldn't have been fair.

Other than that, the walking around and mingling with Imperial citizens was cool. Especially when we went into the suites and disturbed the wealthy citizens, that was pretty cool. In one of the rooms our CO and I went into, the people didn't hear us come in. So we snuck up behind them and just stared at the ice with them. Boy, were they shocked to turn around and see two Imperial Sandtroopers standing there!

I have to share this with everyone, according to a couple of civilians, the four of us Sandtroopers are so dirty from our time on Hoth!

 

Yup...Overall, the event was a huge sucess.

Yes, that was me who flew across the ice on my face.

Unbeknownst to TD-0690, the Coyotes were very impressed with us. So much in fact, that they've requested our continued presence in all home Playoff games. They want us to be part of the "White Out" crew and to help rile the fans up and get them motivated. We might even be throwing some shirts into the audience, but that has yet to be confirmed at this time.

The reason for cutting our team from 8 troopers to only three was also because the Mascots only had this one event, while the Coyotes had already planned on having us with them for the entire Playoffs. That's one of the main reasons they decided to have more of the sillier mascots in the game. Because this was thier only chance to get out on the ice, where we will most likely have many more to come in the future.

For those of you who made it, I'm sorry I didn't catch you in the halls, but I hope you enjoyed the event despite that.

Mara I was the one that was bouncing between the D&D game and the Fan Force meeting. I was frequently with the brown robed Jedi (though she is obviously in not a member of THAT order). I'm sure that I'll pop up in one of the pics when they get posted.

BTW, is your Crimson Royal Guard guy going to do the red armor for underneath? I know of a few guys that have done it (Azeem did it, one of the guys who posts on the Costuming and Props board), and it looks VERY impressive. Just curious...
