Do we really need a reminder of a less prosperous era?

Well, that's one way to take a dig at the former Republic.

Thanks Cevan. This one was pretty good.

Well. No pussy-footing around with this latest report, eh?

I mean, this is certainly the most... transparent update we've received, hmm?

Alton Castle's editorializing was pretty funny. I mean, if I were a citizen living on Lothal right now, I certainly wouldn't be laughing, but as it stands... :D

I hope these continue throughout the whole show. I like the Imperial brainwashing aspect of it.

Can anybody find the aurebesh font they're using on that page? I already have a couple, but that one looks really nice.

According to the source page, they're using "Aurabesh Regular" (I know it's misspelled, but that's how it's written in the file).

Here's the first page that popped-up in a google search for the font-type under that spelling.

    http://fontsgeek.com/fonts/Aurabesh-Regular

Beyond that, though, I didn't give it a close look. Does the example contained in that link look like the right to you?

    Anyway, I hope it helps.

Eriadu mentioned again. All that's missing now is an actual appearance.

Hopefully Pestage will make an appearance at some point. Amedda might get replaced down the line.

Wow! So, so very cool to see the title of Grand Vizier make it's way into the new canon!

And shoot, if I had to guess, I suppose that I might have expected Sate Pestage to be taken from the EU and placed into the role. But I have to admit, I'm actually very much in favor of (not to mention, intrigued by) Palpatine's decision to appoint Mas Amedda to the position.

Speculation has always surrounded the fate of Amedda. Many had surmised that upon becoming Emperor, Palpatine may have dumped his alien subordinates in favor of human allies (and it's already been stated in the new Rebels Visual Dictionary that finding non-humans in positions of authority in the Empire is a rare sight).

But personally, I always loved Mas Amedda and Sly Moore, both (I wonder if we'll ever have the chance to see her in the Imperial Period). So it makes me quite happy, indeed, not only to see Amedda still around, but to find him in a position where he answers only to Palpatine, himself -- at least 'only to the Emperor,' officially, anyway. With Amedda clearly aware of the Emperor's affiliation as a Sith, I imagine Mas would be quick to listen to Vader, as well.

But yes, as was mentioned, I, too, have to wonder what this may now mean for Pestage's chances of ever making the jump into canon in some capacity? Does this help, or is it now that much more likely that he'll remain forever in the realm of Legend TM?

One final thought: Palpatine's non-appearance at the meeting with Governor Pryce... our first indication of an Emperor who is rarely seen in public, or a simple case of the meeting being beneath him?

Good for you. I wonder if Amedda is one of the "bootlickers" mentioned in the ANH novelization.

The novelization described Palpatine as a figurehead controlled by "bootlickers", likely in an attempt to justify him not appearing n the movie. The EU later said that Palpatine pretended to be a figurehead, which AOTC's "great reluctance" speech fits perfectly.

I just read Rise of the Rebels, and it wasn't in there. Was he really mentioned by name in the World of Reading books? It doesn't seem likely.

Ezra's character short video featuring the scene of the crashed TIE fighter and Ezra is also included in Ezra's Gamble. I just double-checked my copy and there's no hint of anything which might serve as an identifier for the pilot, here, either.

Are we absolutely certain that the good Baron is the same pilot in each instance?

I wonder if Holonet News is introducing us to characters who will appear in Rebels. Should we expect to see the crashed TIE pilot, Governor Pryce, Mas Amedda, and Eriadu?

Most likely so. Garell, which was mentioned in one of the early reports, appears in Droids in Distress, as does Maketh Tua who appeared in a recent report. Baron Valon Rudhor was already seen in Property of Ezra Bridger (no idea if he'll appear in the actual show, though), and I have a pretty good feeling we'll be seeing Governor Pryce at some point.

As for Mas Amedda and Eriadu, I'm not sure, but it's certainly a possibility. Mas Amedda didn't have a character model in the latest report (he just had a drawing of him shown) and Eriadu was only mentioned (it was mentioned on those Imperial reporter badges given out to some news sites as well though), so it's possible we'll only hear of them and never see them. I do hope we see them both in the future, but it's hard to say for sure.

So, as I often do, I was checking for an update to the Imperial HoloNet, when I came across a "There's nothing here." announcement on every video.

    Is anyone else seeing this?

I sure hope it's a only a temporary glitch (or better yet, since it has been a while, maybe even a new update), and not the end of such a wonderful, wonderful idea.
