It would be cool to see at least one alien Imp Knight. They should recruit Vao's sister to be an imp knight, since he said that she had the gift and could be trained if she wanted to.

No Alien's, but half their number appears to be female. Marasiah, Elke Vetter, Sigel Dare, Azlyn Rae plus two of the fake Roan's guards. Not too many Jedi Gal's running about though, infact I think none till the Hidden Temple issue.[face_thinking] Thats cause the Imperial Knights know that Girls Rule!.....And yeah I'm a guy. :p

There was a female jedi at the little Jedi meeting where they were ambushed by the Sith iirc.

But she DIDN'T want to. I believe it was in a conversation with Shado that she said she preferred to stay with the Imperial Mission... of course, that could change when she finds out that Moff Rus has sided with Krayt and betrayed her trust.

[face_laugh] This made me laugh... a lot. [face_laugh]

Did Fel take his IK recruiting standards straight from Palpatine's 'How to be an Emperor Manual'?

I doubt it, because Palps had quite a few non-human force users on his side. If they had right amount of Force Palps doesn't care what species they are.

    Palpatine had Alien Stormtroopers?

No, he had alien force users ever since his chancellor days. He supposedly taught that blue lady a few force tricks.

This raises an interesting point. Why was Shado taken by the Jedi and not the Imperial Knights?

He and his sister were in the care of the mission when Saizen found him and recruited him as a Jedi. Of course it could just be that Saizen found him first or perhaps the Knights keep it in the family and only recruit from respectable imperial families.

Interesting thoughts. I wonder if Jan or John can enlighten us on this.

Maybe, but as of #20 and #21 we're shown that the Fel Empire had aliens in command of Star Destroyers, or at least thats how I took it. It also shows a anti-alien bias still exists in the same issues.

Maybe just the few planets the Empire controlled had a vast majority of humans? Even though i dont know much amount exactly which ones they had.
And plus not all species could rock those killer uniforms, so they'd have to make a totally different one that looks wack( kinda like how the Thing screwed the rest of the Fantastic Four with his shorts,...eww)

If they can make stormtroopers uniforms for different species, then they can do the same for the Imp Knights.

Anti-alien bias existed well before the Empire did; it's hardly uncommon.

And with the way most of the alien senators were acting in the NJO, I can't say I really blame them :p

Maybe Shado didn't want to be an Imperial Knight but instead wanted to be a Jedi.

It seems to me like choosing between being a Shaolin Master or a Mossad or Shin Bet agent. Both can be insanely deadly but one has a primary spiritual element.

You gotta pretty much have to be Israeli to be in Mossad, but I get what your saying.

I'm guessing he felt the Jedi Path was more "Right" for him. From the last issue we are told that Kol and other Jedi were frequent visitors to Roan Fel's palace. I assume that relations between the Empire and Jedi/GA? were a lot more open than they were in the past. I'm guessing that if any Imperial projects had Jedi involved, the Imperial Mission with it's humanitarian roots would have been a prime target.

I gotta disagree with you there, for three reasons

    1) The Jedi have a damn good reason for hiding and thinking three times before trusting anyone. EVERYONE in the galaxy stabbed them in the back, almost at the same time- a move which lost the GA the war and got half of the Order killed or turned. From their point of view, what reason do they have not to kill Roan on sight, much less trust him in alliance? As for Stazi, how can the Jedi be sure that they won't be left on the chopping block if such an action ever becomes strategically viable to the Alliance? No group in the galaxy has yet given the Jedi reason to trust them.

    2) The Jedi don't want a Second Rebellion, for it would only lead to more bloodshed and a further fracturing of the galaxy. When they move, they want to move in such a way that the Sith are destroyed in one fell swoop- the exact same strategy employed by Yoda and Obi-Wan in relation to Luke. That's why Cade's intelligence on the Sith and his plan of assassination appeal to them- it does exactly what they want with as little loss of life as possible and, better yet, with minimal risk to the Order.

    3) What have Roan and Imperial Knights actually accomplished? They were given Bastion on a silver platter, and since then have taken no direct action against Krayt. All they have done is foil an assassination plot and get a few Alliance refugees back into Stazi's hands.

When it comes to power, every example we have has shown Jedi as utterly stronger than Imperial Knights in virtually every category. This is in keeping with other non-Jedi Force traditions. Your average Jedi would crush an Imperial Knight just as they would crush your average follower of the White Current. These traditions focus on one aspect of the Force, while Jedi and Sith encapsulate everything. In the case of the Imperial Knights, their focus is on protecting Fel and serving as his personal special forces.

I'm sorry but Jedi Knights will wipe the floor with Imperial Knights!! stop the debate jeez!! Some Imperials or shall i say Jaina-decendent Knights are indeed powerful..but they aint got nothing on real "Jeedai"... Why else would Sith lords mock them by calling them "Forcelings" or think of them as a "true challenge" in combat..I agree with what was said in a previous post..

Aside from Roan Fel,Antares Draco..all other Imp Knights would get their crimson armor handed to them!! Krayt vs. Fel would be a hell of a matchup..but we know Krayt would win...sorry Krayt is correct..being a fully trained Jedi Knight/Master,and Sith Lord= ultimate badassness

will elaborate more after I get some food...wish there was Aunt Droo's Restaurant nearby...I can sure go for some Gizka Fried Steak! :D
