I hate it when I'm trying to study or on the bus or somewhere and somebody a few feet away starts humming/singing random songs. Why can't people just shut up until they're home? THIS IS NOT A ******* MUSICAL, PEOPLE.



And some of you guys have your iPods turned on WAY TOO LOUD.

While we're on the subject of annoying people in public places, I'd like to share my chagrin for these bluetooth phone bastards. I wish they would stop humiliating me by making me think they're talking to me when they're really talking to their boyfriend on the other end of the line about their plans for Friday night. I can't see the little ear piece when it's on the other side of the head.

 

I hate when people tell me what to do in a public place.

 

Bah. I got some old Czech lady on the tram today smiling because I was singing Under Pressure quietly.

 

Same here. Whenever a clerk or cashier tells me to have a nice day, I get agitated and yell, "Don't tell me what to do!"

 

You should tell the folks that to that to quiet down instead of ranting about it to us. I do love randomly whistling songs in public though. It's the highlight of my day..

 

Whenever I go into the toy section of the store and see the new G.I. Joe figures in 1980s replica packaging, I can't help but sing the theme song to the old cartoon sometimes.

 

I've been known to forget where I am and sing in public, but since I can't carry a tune it's usually quiet.

And work is not public, so there I don't hold back.

I'll stop as soon as people stop living with their cell phone attached to their ear. So no, I won't be stopping anytime soon.

 

I sing quietly when I'm sure no one's around. Unless I want to scare them. Then I sneak up behind them and scream in their ear.

It's creepy when a customer asks me to help them find something and them they stand behind me and whistle or hum.
It does crawl up the ole spine.

 

I am one of these people. I honestly have no idea I'm doing it until someone points it out. My friends and family have discovered through years of observation that if I'm bored, I hum. I can't help it.

 

LOL! In one day at the store I passed/walked by people who had those on, and until I spotted the ear piece, I was thinking, "Crap! I'm in a What About Bob? Movie!" I feel good I feel great I feel wonderful.

All these people coming at you talking and there's no one there....

If life were a musical

 

I am also one of these people. I hum, whistle and sing(not loudly, just kinda pseudo-sing to myself) in public and private all the time. It gets me through my day, thank you very much

 

Me too. Although, I tend to keep quiet when I'm around people I am not familiar with.

And, looking at your profile, it may be me that you are frustrated with. I was humming to my music on a bus today. And I was playing my music loud.

 

Can I get a napkin?

 

I never got how people study on the bus. I can't read in a moving vehicle without either falling asleep or getting a massive headache.

 

But but but...I sing when I has a happy.

Can I sing now?

 

I don't mind if people hum in public. It makes the world a tiny bit happier.

Also, I've been riding mass transit for many years, and I just tune people out when I want to read.

 

Also, I sometimes sing the old Transformers cartoon theme song when I look at the Transformers toys.
