Gaming In a grim dark far future there is only war - A thread for Warhammer 40k

I'm also more into the lore and the art than the game.

I want to see it but at the same time we have so much stories to tell just about Guilliman in this new era without his brother and a new loyal Primarch would be something very big, nearly as big as Guilliman's return. Untill the Dawn of Fire series is complete I don't think we will ever see any other loyal Primarch appear, and I think we will also not see one untill each Legion have a Ultima Founding successor that have been given some spotlight by their own book series or a WD article. I think it's most likley that GW will go throung all the deamon Primarchs (with figures) before we will se a loyal one also.

Now, that don't stop anybodie that wants to use the HH figures with Bobby G's 40k rules, or have as story that they are secretly led (or at least think they are) by one of the other loyal Primarchs, to do that.

 

I totally forgot to update that I finished Gaunt 11 after 3 months of chipping. I really liked this one despite the slow progress. On 12 now.

Just wondering, have anybody heard about anyone using the HH primarch figures in 40k games, using Bobby G's rules?

Also, I have read Watchers of the Throne: The Emperor's Legion and can really recommend it. And I have read Deus Encarmine (2004) the first part in the Blood Angels novel series by James Swallow. It's an interesting read since it's one of the first Blood Angels stories and some things have been changed since then, both lore and how space marines are presented, and I have to say that sometime the marines feels a bit to human and/or easily manipulated compared to how they are reprecented now a-days, but that could just be me.

Just recently got the Warhammer 40k Fireteam board game, which is the first Warhammer anything I've ever delved into. Haven't read the rules yet, but I'm guessing this is like, a very stripped down version of the core game since it is designed to be played out of the box? There are a decent handful of minis in here that need to be constructed/painted.
