I like my baby! And good to know the girls are smart like me. I especially love how the Shai/Adair relationship is like Obi-Wan/Anakin. Anakin I see as doing extremely well leading the Order not just because he's the Chosen One, but because of the maturity he's gained through his search for Shai. And you killed Xan! It was a good death, though, and now he gets to be remembered with Qui-Gon - nice touch.

Well, I was only too happy to give Des his own fan club. And still can't believe you stuck me in the story - my claim to fame, I guess, LOL. But this series is why I really got interested in the boards. You give every character, even the ones we want to hate, so much life that we can't help but like them. So may this long be revered in the JC Fanfic Room of Memories.

EDIT: even though I expected you to kill off Obi-Wan in the epilogue! LOL, Diane, she will never ever ever ever ever do a thing like that ever again, not even under pain of death. But maybe the threat of never having another Ben'al post will change her mind.

Is good to know that Xan has his official place with the Jedi and will be honored together with Qui-Gon, who in the end, is at the root of all changes bringing Anakin and Obi-Wan together. And yes, in a way Obi-Wan and Xanatos, too. Without him they would have never met, less form a close relationship for what reasons ever.

Matured Anakin Skywalker is a very good choice for head of Council, he set what he learned as member of the Kenobi Clan into new rules for the Jedi and this day of memorial suports strong 'family ties' all the more.

The future looks bright for the Jedi now.

Thank you for all the time and work you do for the enlightment of your readers and your kind words for us, here and in your interview.

And don't worry about where to post that Shai story, we will follow you to every board you chose. And you can always argue that it is a Saga AU, even if it plays in a time after RotJ, because Ep.2-6 never hapened in the series.

I've often wondered how he came across to true Anakin fans.

Well, I can only speak for myself, but IMO you have no worries. I can easily see the canon Anakin evolving into your version.

Ah, but my motivations are selfish. See, if I tell you what I like then perhaps you will be encouraged to write more of the same. More work for you, certainly, but I reap the benefits!

Your conclusion was perfect. I'm sad for Xan's loss, happy for Anakin's place on the council (balance to the force = prophecy fulfilled = yay!), thrilled to see Adair as Shai's padawan and excited to know Luke was knighted. The future is looking bright.

BTW, never underestimate the power you wield. For a next generation sequel I might even venture to the Beyond boards...

Wonderful ending

I really expected Anakin or Obi-Wan to remind Shai about that old adage that he will be stuck with an apprentice just like himself. It obviously is true!

 

I find this hard to belive that this is over...ARGH!!!

Wonderful story OE as well as this whole story arc. I loved it and am sad to see it all go.

But I look forward to your other stories and can not wait to see where it takes us.

Bekah I imagine Des and Adair as having a close relationship, maybe similar to Obi and Shai. I will seriously give that battle between father and son some thought. Thanks for sticking with this.

I can't believe it's over oe.

I loved this series from beginning to end. Your OC's were perfectly drawn in such fine detail that I felt that I knew them as well as any of the canon characters. They each had a unique quality about them that made your readers love each and every one.

And let's not forget that this series brought me my Rogue Obi.

I am sorry to see it end but what a ride it has been. Fantastic!

It was a lovely story. I just can't believe that it is all over!! It was such a great series! It is very sad to think that there is no more for these characters...

I had a teacher once tell me that you know a book is good if when you are done reading it, you feel as if you have lost a friend. I think that pretty much sums up the way I feel after reading this series.

Anyway. What can I say? Awesome story, OE. Awesome saga I should say. I began reading this series just about the time I joined the boards and I swear my life just isn't the same without an almost daily OE post! I can't remember what thread you said this in (there goes my memory again) but a few days ago in the WR you said that you think you may have lost some readers because of your changing focus on OC's. I would argue the opposite ... I know at least for myself I've gotten to enjoy SW OC's because of your stories. I better go before I ramble too much and make a fool of myself but I just wanted to say loved loved loved the story!

Thank you for your kind words. I'm really interested in exploring an all OC fic and can only hope my readers will tag along. That doesn't mean that I have given up on Obi and company for good.
