PT Is there any prequel themed apparel being sold?

Most of the official merch/clothing I've seen sold are from the OT and some from the ST. But I don't think I've seen much from the PT. Since the prequels are no longer seen as reviled in the public and now has a vocal fanbase, I think it's a missed opprotunity for Disney to not sell Tshirts with Darth Maul or Obi-Wan or Grievous. And considering how popular prequel memes are, can you imagine how popular a tshirt with Obi-Wan saying "Hello There" or Palpatine saying "A surprise to be sure..." or "I am the Senate". I think they would sell like hotcakes. Just my 2 cents.

 

I wish. Sometimes there's vintage stuff on eBay but I can never find my size. And I don't buy Disney merchandise.

 

I don't know what's official or not tbh, but I would think that the PT would be a bigger priority for Disney given many successful PT-themed endeavors like Battlefront II. I think Disney is nowhere near as prequel-phobic as they were around 2015-2016, but instead of a "pretend it doesn't exist" approach during TFA, it's now more "pretend it isn't important."

 

Try looking on Amazon. I did a quick search on Amazon UK of 'Jango Fett t-shirt' in clothing and got a few hits. Also Entertainment Earth can be good for clothing.

 

I got this T-Shirt of the celebration mural art with all the movies and TV shows on it (excluding TROS due to it not being out then) in the blue colour from Amazon UK last year. I imagine you can probably get them on the US site too.


You can get them all in individual t-shirts if you prefer though in multiple colours. For example the AOTC one.

 

Check BoxLunch. I bought an Anakin Skywalker tshirt from them awhile ago and I remember seeing some with Darth Maul.

 

I saw somewhere on a website where someone had hand-made a wedding gown to resemble Padme's wedding gown.

 

They sold "Pod Racer" jackets during Celebration I, but I didn't get one. They may still be available second-hand someplace.

 

Are we talking about non Clone Wars prequel era merch? (Not that there is Clone Wars stuff out there now). I have seen some of the hot wheels ships from episodes I and II in some stores. The problem is, there is not much Star Wars stuff in stores now. I was in Walmart the other day and the Star Wars section in the toy aisle was a couple lightsabers and some Black Series figures from episode IX.

 

I refuse to believe that the Walt Disney Company would ever turn down money. I guarantee you that they did the market research on it and simply decided it wasn’t worth it.

I do not think they're official, but I bought two PT era Obi Wan shirts recently.

 

Though that was (almost!) a very long time ago, when AOTC was launched in 2002, the Hong Kong based Bossini clothing chain had a huge selection of SW related t-shirts and caps. I still have some t-shirts from back then when I lived in China, though I don't dare wear them anymore. Some were purely PT based, others had general SW motives or were OT based. There were some very innovative and interesting designs on some of them, many of which I have not seen anywhere else in the world. It was also at one Bossini outlet in Zhongshan where I saw my first AOTC poster ever. It was huge, covered one entire wall of the store and featured Anakin with lightsaber and Padmé with blaster, standing back to back. So basically that was my first impression of the movie. I think that chain store was the main engine in promoting SW in China at that time. Man, those were happy times! My wife, son and myself all ended up wearing SW t-shirts, as did many locals. The prequels were really big in my part of China, and it was the "in" and cool thing to do to "wear" SW, even in super fashion-conscious Hong Kong. The SW franchise was never more in in any place I lived than in 2002 in China, and to a lesser extent in 2005 when Sith came out. I don't know why, but I found much less, if any, SW stuff during ROTS times. Could be that many Bossini stores had closed since. Or maybe they went out of business, not sure. I don't remember other big Asian chains like Giordano or Baleno selling any SW material. I never found a single Sith shirt.

I still remember walking into Target - if memory serves, before the release of TPM - and seeing a rack of Ts with Maul squaring off with Qui Gonn and Obi Wan. HAD to have one. Wish they still made them!!

 

I bought a ton at Celebration last year. It was like Christmas for me as PT stuff gets harder and harder to find.

 

I came across this today at a department store (Fred Meyer). Not sure why it needs the '80s Miami Vice motif, haha.

In fact Episode 1 Padme and Anakin are coming out in May to celebrate the 25th anniversary of TPM.
