Is this a unique power for Kueller?

In The New Rebellion it mentioned several times that he got power if *other* people used the dark side; everytime one of his sets of droidbombs went off, he'd receive a power-up from the resulting "disturbance in the Force" and the dark side emotions as the victims died. Later, when Luke fought him, Luke noticed that if he edged toward agression or anger, Kueller became stronger.

Has anyone else ever demonstrated this ability?

 

How about Kun? I'll have to look at the JAT to see if it holds true, but don't Luke and Corran work out that hypothesis in I, Jedi? And the last thing I want to do is read that book again, since I detest Corran, especially when he's written by MAS.

 

He fed off the suffering of others. In principle, others have done so.

 

I have to say that I prefer how he was written in the New Jedi Order and in the Hand of Thrawn Duology, yes.

As for this, it seemed like Palpatine was kind of leeching off of people's anger and distress a little bit. Exar Kun almost surely was.

Vaapad doesn't really take the other person's hate and rage and make it yours-it forms a conduit, reflecting it back at them.

 

Old Sith technique. I reckon Kueller might have seen it on Yavin at one of the temples.

Or they learn it as a natural ability.
