    Buffalo Bill > Hannibal Lecter

Anything Buffalo Bill has to say is > than anything Hannibal has to say. Forget all these proverbs and literate meanderings; "It rubs the lotion on it's skin" is where it's at, folks.

    I liked the film Hannibal, but I feel they cut way to much out from the book. Explaining Lecter's background would have been more interesting to see then all those Mason Verger scenes. That guy was more gross than Hannibal on a good day. 8-}

Red Dragon was way much better than Hannibal. It was actually all most thrilling to watch. Edward Norton was excellent in it, and Anthony Hopkins did a much better performance then in Hannibal. His Character didn't come off as so cartoon like. He was actually scary in alot of scenes.

It almost seems liike two different people in Re Dragon/Silence and Hannibal. The Lecter from Dragon/Silence was much more psychotic and cruel than the fun loving softie from Hannibal.

My father met Hopkins at an airport once :)

Oh, and I love the SoTL series - my girlfriend bought me each of the books on our last Anniversary - true classics. I hated Hannibal at first but I have more of an appreciation for it after reading the book.

    I've only read Red Dragon.

Umm, how can the guys head in the jar in SotL be Raspails head? The Red Dragon DVD says that Lecter killed Raspail, but Benjamin has moth in his head like Buffalo Bill!

After reading hannibal I didn't feel sorry for Verger, he was 1 demented man and tormented and abused his sister!

HUGE fan of the books and the movies. Didn't care for Manhunter, reminded me of a Miami Vice episode. Red Dragon is ALOT closer to the book than Manhunter was.

Ohhh and I died when I saw the South park episode w/ Cartmen playing "Lambs".

Interstingly enough, Michael Mann, the "Mann" behind Man{n}hunter, was the director if most/all Miami Vice episodes.

The movie SotL took some artistic license
and used his name, while the movie Red Dragon stayed with the book account

"all good things come to those who wait"

I personally think that Hannabal Lector was in a certain sense a "Genius" (spelling?),
all his murders had some type of justification behind them, in one way or another.

He was kind tot hsoe who were kind.

he could smell if you were good or bad.

I wanna be like that.......withut the canibal part.

oh and I also think that Scott Glenn should have played Jack Crawford in Red Dragon, he did such a good job as him in silene of the lambs.

and Jodie Foster (spelling?) should have played Clariece in Hannibal she also did a very good job in silence of the lambs.
