DO NOT discuss sequels to Battlefront, TIE Fighter, or Jedi Knight here, lets talk about creative directions, sequels to more obscure games, and new franchises Lucasarts could make.

    1) Masters of Teras Kasi had alot of bad reviews, but it still has its fanbase. With today's technology and an abundance of new characters, a new Star Wars fighting game would be awesome. Imagine Savage Oppress with his huge vibroblade vs. Boba Fett?
    2) A survival horror using continuity established in Death Troopers. Zombie stormtroopers. If not suitable enough for a full game, maybe a clone of Nazi Zombies from Call of Duty can be tacked onto Battlefront III whenever the hell it comes out. Especially with the zombie genre running as strong as it ever could at this point, and Lucasarts usually bases their games off of whatever's popular at the time... Dark Forces=Doom/Wolfenstein, Masters of Teras Kasi=Soul Calibur, Battlefront=Battlefield, Force Unleashed=God of War/hack and slash...
    3) Super Star Wars: The Prequel Trilogy. Like I pointed out above, Lucasarts takes from whats popular at the time to cash in on it, with retro game revivals being very popular and marketable right now with New Super Mario Bros Wii, Sonic 4, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Super Meat Boy, Scott Pilgrim the Game... plus with the overall 90's nostalgia currently starting to take effect, and now being the parallel to the time in the early 90's after the original trilogy was finished and the Super Star Wars games being released, is the perfect time to release a new Super Star Wars trilogy.

I'd still like to see Bounty Hunter II - playing as Boba Fett. It could easily be set just prior to ANH timewise.

Also, I'd love to see a GTA style open world Star Wars game. I actually came up with a whole concept in my head and if I end up pursuing video game development I might try to pitch it to Lucasarts if possible.

Me too. The story in the first had some great cutscenes.

On the topic of Death Troopers. There was a downloadable expansion to Star Wars Galaxies that had the Purge and all its zombies in it.

I want a new Podracing game....

I'd like a Star Wars RTS that doesnt have unbelievable slow down when you try to mass an army(on a computer well above the recommended settings), screw with canon, or leave us with a cliffhanger with no intention to follow-through.

Give it to Blizzard or Robot(the guys who did Halo Wars then got disbanded by whatever publisher).

    Seriously. Untapped. Potential.

A stealth game. Possibly with Force powers, but if so: the opposite of Force Unleashed. Your powers would be toned down. Even less powerful than in the movies. Well, the prequels that is. Think Ben sneaking around the Death Star in ANH. That weak. Otherwise, why would you need to be stealthy in the first place? Albeit, the character can still be agile. He/she doesn't have to be a slow tank like the old Splinter Cell games. More like SC: Conviction.

And another podracing game. Because it was cool the first time.

I had the same idea set during the dark times era. We could play a fugitive jedi knight trying to survive at the rise of the empire with all the inquisitors, stormtroopers and vader around.

    Other ideas:

    - Wraith Squadron/Page's Commandos videogame.

    - Luke/Han/Leia videogame. Not an OT rehash, but a brand new game. We would different kiind of controls for them

    - Mon Calamari/Quarren civil war. Don't know if this ever happened, but it would be cool to explore Dac under and overwater.

Very few, if any, games have properly the exploited the possibilities one could get from dual-wielding wiimotes. With some creative choices made in terms of movement control (the crosspad is a little too high up to be a comfortable control, but if one could use the combination of the two (easily reachable) down arrows on each crosspad as a form of peddle-like control), it could allow for dual saber wielding and force power use in some very cool ways (most notable super accurate force grabs, deflections and shoves above and beyond what the nunchuck (which would seemingly bebused for such things typically as they are now) is capable of delivering.

And, of course, there's always the pipedream of Rogue Squadron IV: Imperial Remnant (with full on-screen K-Wing payload options =P~) & Rogue Squadron: Vong War. :-B

Funny you should mention dual Wiimotes. I was thinking about that for the podracing sequel, where you hold the motes vertically as throttle controls. But then I thought; you don't have any resistance, so it probably won't feel right. It's like using the Wiimote as a steering wheel in racing games. It doesn't feel good.

I'd like to see a return to the variety of Shadows of the Empire style gameplay: Some shooter elements, vehicle levels and spaceflight/turret levels. Something like Bounty Hunter with a smoother physics-based engine and flight sim levels.

    I like Bounty Hunter.

    I like KOTOR.

    I like spaceflight sims.

    I LOVED SOTE.

I want to be able to play a little bit of each all rolled into the same game. And I want it to be set in the Dark Times :p

That's not smart, buddy. Look into past games that do that, and you'll see why.

One game I loved was the PSP/DS game, Lethal Alliance. I like Star Wars games but I think there are too many with lightsabres. Don't get me wrong, they're awesome, but it'd be nice to see another game without them. Republic Commando was good, or at least I liked it.

I agree Mousse, I thought Republic Commando was really entertaining when I played it on the original Xbox.

I'd love to see this re-invented within the NJO Era.

Kriff it, make it a Mando-centric game where at some point you end up on that place where Boba Fett ended up 'making peace' with Han.

To be fair, I think the only way Lucasarts can create a new game that... you know, has both fan credibility and selling potential is by doing something a bit reboot-ish.
A Prequel Trilogy era game would fall flat, the flavour of the month vibe surrounding the films has gone, and it's left a bitter taste in everyone's mouth, so, best left ignored, really.
A Clone Wars game would be CHEAP RUBBISH LIKE ALL THE OTHER CLONE WARS GAMES.
A new Force Unleashed game would result in people saying "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on you again. Fool me three times, AND I'LL GET REALLY ANGRY."
An OT game would seem a bit like flogging a dead horse.
A serious EU/NJO/LotF would alienate the general public - previous EU games have taken the source material with a pinch of salt and gone off and done their own thing, which was always neat.

The last big reboot the franchise had in the games world was Knights of the Old Republic, which was pretty much perfect, because it was new ground for both hardcore SW lore buffs, casual fans and the game playing public alike. So, something completely original and left field like that would be lovely.

Make up a sector of space, new characters and settings. and focus on a local fight against the Empire. No Death Star or Hoth or sudden Jedi apprentices.

Always wondered why a series of novels didn't mine this. Thousands (millions?) of star systems give you infinite variety.

The past is the past. It just needs to be done right, like BF and Lego SW and unlike Rebel Strike. I don't necessarily want to see a developer trying to tackle a style they aren't familiar with, but maybe that's why someone else (coughRockstarorBethesdacough) ought to try a turn at developing SW games. Since LA can't seem to get it right anymore, why not let other publishers and or dev houses take the wheel for a while?

A Homeworld or Sins of a Solar Empire like RTS would definitely be cool. Set it in the post-ROTJ time period where the fledgling New Republic is battling against warlords. I especially want to see all those Star Destroyers that the New Republic captured in action (I don't care if it confuses casual fans), as well as lesser known ships like the E-wing, A-9, and I-7.
