jaina short 1.49 meter tall

Height is relitive. I'm 5'1 but I feel tall at home (my mom is 4'11), but at school I feel very, very short. As far as I'm concernered the only bad thing about being short is finding cloths that fit and dealing with the taunts of my peers.

Height is a matter of relativity and also a matter of perspective. Most people don't realize how short I am because I don't act like a small, helpless woman.
On the other hand, I'm slightly under 5'1" and believe me it is very difficult to reach the clutch in most cars. Jaina would have to have her pilot's seat specially adapted for her. And I agree with Tahiri, HIGH HEEL (shoes) were invented by the Sith! I don't wear high heels.

 

That's pretty messed up how short Jaina is. Shouldn't she at least be as tall as he mother, Leia, or a bit taller. I don't even get how Leia became short cause wasn't her mother, Padme, tall. Padme(Natalie Portman is hot Hot HOT!) lookes like she's at least 5'6". During AOTC she looks this height, during TPM, she might have been 5'3" or perhaps shorter. The height of a person usually depends on their parents heights except for some rare cases like mine. Both of my parents are under 5'4", yet I'm 5'11". Though, on my mothers side I have mutilple uncles and cousins that are between 6'4" and 7" tall. So, maybe Leia and Jainas shortness came from somewhere else on their family tree.

 

Height comes from the grandparents, if I remember my science correctly...I think. [face_confussed] And I noticed that Jacen and Anakin's heights were fairly short...so as it was said before, maybe the people listing their heights converted it wrong, or maybe the characters are just short in the GFFA. I'm short (5'3" when I'm in shoes) and I'm small...everyone in my family, including my 11-year-old brother, is taller than me. But it's okay, I don't mind being small.

And I have a sewing box.

 

Oh guys...isn't it obvious that someone messed up bad in the databanks? Look..I'm sure that eventually Jaina will have a growth spurt.. hope so..

 

Kathy Tyers spent quite some time describing Jaina in Balance Point, and one passage mentioned that she was actually taller than Jacen (at least at the time in which that was taking place). I visualize her as being about my height (somewhere around 5'6" or 7"). That would make Jacen a tad bit shorter than her, but Anakin outgrows them both by the time of SbS-- all through that book, he's described as being quite tall.

And as for the databanks messing up, it wouldn't be the first time...

 

We know that at the time of The Crystal, she's still smaller than Leia.

 

I thought in one of the last couple of NJO books Leia said she could now look straight into Jaina's eyes?

 

I'm doing a reread of NJO soon, during which I'll be picking out character references, so I'll figure it all out then.

 

From "The Crystal" in Star Wars Gamer #5:

"[Jaina] was fairly small, just short of her mother's size and height, which made her considerably smaller than most human pilots."

According to the Essential Guide to Characters Leia is 1.5 meters tall, which I assume is based on the height of Carrie Fisher.

4'10 is tiny, especially by American standards. I really think there would (or should) be more refference to her lack of height.

I've gone of her a bit actually. All my female relatives are short, so I have something of a phobia about short women and tend to find them attractive - I abhor Kylie for example, though is mostly due to other reasons. Still my favourite actress and ideal of woman, Rachael Leigh Cook is only 5'2 so maybe I can adjust to Jaina's size.

Still a little creepy though. For the record I'm 5'7 which is about average for an Irish guy.

Most petite broads are sometimes really damn cute . Jaina seems like she's a real damn cutey, being this short. Though, it would look kind of silly to see a short cutey like Jaina taking on the Vong whom tower over her.

5'1" is really damn short. Napoleon was taller then that. He was 5'3" I think.

 

I have no idea why people think petite women are 'cute'. There not, just short.

Cuteness and shortness are entirely unrelated. Someone can be short and cute or not. However, being relatively tall, I've found that it's much easier to have a conversation with those who aren't "vertically challenged."

 

In Napoleons day the average male Corciscan would only have been about 5'4 anyway, so Napoleon was slightly below average height (by those standards). Frenchmen would have been taller though, but he still would just have been short and not tiny.

Repotedly Julius Caesar was 5'10 - very tall for his time. Alexander the Great was very short, ut I'm nt sure exactly what height. Clark Gable was 6'1, Tom Cruise is 5'6, Penelope Cruise, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Emma Bunton (Baby Spice from the Spice Girls) are all 5'2 and the infamous Kylie is 5'0 (and an A-Cup too )

Well quite. I suppose my ideal height for a girl attraction wise is 5'2 to 5'4, so when she wears heels we would be the same height.

In anycase, being short may be a boon to Jaina when it comes to fitting into a fighter. I still don't know how Han Solo ever managed to squeeze into a cockpit when he did his TIE tour of duty in the Navy. Of course, TIE cockpits may be more spacious than more traditionally shaped fighters.
