[JCC]Banner rotation

i like the idea of a banner rotation, jeff has a brilliant idea

the current one in JCC looks like it belongs in an FF

 

Although the current banner totally rocks, it would suit a different forum.

Perhaps the next YJCC banner could still have a SW theme, but have other elements that are not SW included. For an example, the banner could include: A few SW characters, a picture of a movie reel (representing movies being discussed), something to represent fan clubs, something for social threads, and whatever else that is appropriate. It would certainly relate to the YJCC more.
The downside is, this might cause problems due to the thousands/hundreds of opinions out there.

Just an idea.

On a side note: IMO, I don't think the banners should be changed any more than once every 4 months or so.

 

That was tried before (ie representing various social groups on the banner), but it was met with teh drama because some groups were represented while others were not.

Since then the JCC banners have kept to a strict SW theme.

Ah, I don't remember seeing the drama. Btw, is that why the 'drama' icons were made?

Anyway, I still think there's another way around just making a SW-only banner. Surely something more YJCC-related that wouldn't cause 'drama' could be arranged right? I hope so.

 

I'm fully against changing the banners. My computer is slow, and it takes a long time to load new banners. The older ones load relatively quickly.

 

So is there an answer to this? Or is it currently being discussed?

 

There really isn't a discussion going on over this in the MS or JCC board right now. I've mentioned the possibility of doing some new banners or a rotation a few months back on the JCC board, but everyone seemed to be in favor if staying with the banner we have now.


As I've said before, I welcome and encourage anyone to create a banner for the JCC and if it's good, we'll definitely take it into consideration.
