    Go ahead. :)

My Jaden is the haired white guy wearing black pants and the brown leather padded suit (with the high collar) striped in red. It looks awesome. :D

SEE! This is why it should remain ambigious! So each of us can have our own version of Jaden! It would suck if they made Jaden's weapon, race and gender "official".

    "Star Wars: Jedi Academy

It is ten years after return of the Jedi. The Imperial remnant is being defeated on all fronts, and so is resorting to ever more desperate tactics against the New Republic and its Jedi allies.

A transport carrying a group of raw Jedi recruits nears the planet Yavin IV. On the transport, an excited young recruit, Rosh Penin cannot even sit still. He bounces around the cabin overjoyed with the prospect of becoming a Jedi. He begins to talk with Jaden Korr, a student with amazing potential, who built a lightsaber without any training.

As the transport nears the planet, it is "shot down" by a powerful blast. The transport crashs, but thankfully no one is hurt. As Luke leaves the Jedi temple to help with the rescue, a red Twi Lek enters Luke's chambers and begins stealing data from his computer.

Jaden and Rosh, cut off from the other students, make their way towards the Jedi temple. They fight off numerous howlers, screaming reptiles, with little difficulty. As they near the academy the two stumble into a few stormtroopers. Jaden makes quick work of these soldiers after a few slashes. The young Jedi's trial is not over yet though. A strange saber weilding man confronts the Jedi recruit. Jaden, with no training, is able to miraculously defeat this superior opponent. The recruit observes what looks like a woman flanked by two large men drawing a beam of light out of a masassi temple with a strange staff. The woman notices the Jedi pup and knocks the student unconscious.

The young recruit wakes up surrounded by Jedi Knights. Kyle Kartarn helps the brave initiate up. Kyle asks Jaden what happened, as two other Jedi casually dump the body of the myterious warrior on the ground. Jaden tells Kyle and Luke about the woman with the staff. Luke and Kyle both sense something strange about the temple. Kyle investigates the temple while Luke takes the students back to the Academy.

Luke welcomes the new students to the Jedi Academy. He tells them their curriculum will consist of force training, diplomacy, history, lightsaber and combat courses and more. Because there are so few Jedi, two padawans are assigned to each master. Jaden and Rosh are both assigned to Kyle Katarn, who begins their training immediately."

"Jaden and Rosh grow quickly in the force under Kyle's training. Jaden and Rosh have a friendly competition to see which can complete their most recent trial the fastest. The competition turns not so friendly when Rosh unleashes a lightsaber training droid on Jaden to give him an edge. Jaden defeats the droids, and Kyle rebukes Rosh for putting Jaden in danger. "If it had been set to Skywalker's training regiment it would have killed him!" Rosh apologizes to Jaden, and the two finish their basic training.

Kyle returns from the Masassi temple with disturbing news. The dark taint left behind in temple built by Exar Kun is... gone, all the dark force energy was absorbed somehow. Meanwhile Luke discovers a clue from the uniform of the man Jaden killed. After consulting a holocron, Luke finds that the man is part the "Cult of Marka Ragnos". Ragnos was a Sith Lord that died 5,000 years ago. Luke also reveils that locations of areas strong with the darkside were stolen from his computer. With this in mind, Kyle and Jaden set out to do the work of the Jedi, and keep their ears open for information about this myterious cult.

Since the Jedi believe in "learning by doing", Jaden and Rosh are sent out on missions with Kyle to gain experience and increase their knowlege of the force."

Damn you people and your 56ks! :p

    Great pics Xizor. ;)

Jaden's final mission before returning to the academy is supposed to be a blue milk run. A large cache of weaponry was leftover on Ord Mantell from the Rebellion era. Someone needs to do a little disposal work and destroy the weapons, preventing them from falling into the wrong hands.

Jaden lands on the planet and quickly destroys the first of seven caches. But then, the most deadly man in the galaxy drops in behind Jaden. "Boba Fett!" Jaden exclaims. "This doesn't consern you Jedi, walk away" the bounty hunter threatens. "I can't do that" the young Jedi responds. Soon a run and gun duel commences between Jedi and bounty hunter. Dispite Jaden's best efforts, the Bounty Hunter proves impossible to kill. Jaden runs from Fett, planting a bomb near each of the remaining caches. Jaden is nearly killed several times when Fett cuts off the Jedi's escape route. Still, Jaden is able to destroy the weapons and survive Fett's onslaught all the way back to the Z-95. There, Jaden is able to wound Fett. Boba, deciding the Jedi welp is more trouble than it's worth, flies off, lamenting there's no profit in Jaden's demise.

Kyle congradulates Jaden on surviving Fett. He once ran into Fett himself on Coruscant, and bearly survived.

Kyle and Jaden return to the academy. Luke has discovered that the only possible motive of the cultists, is to resurect Marka Ragnos. If they infuse his corpse with enough raw darkforce energy, a Sith spirit as powerful as Ragnos may be able to come back. Luke knows there's only once place in the galaxy where Ragnos' remains would be, Korriban, the Sith capital. As Luke and his Jedi marshal for a strike against Korriban, Kyle recieves a message from Rosh, who's on the Imperial fortress planet of Taspir III. The young Jedi asked for Kyle's help. Jaden is bitter at first, saying they have no idea whether or not its a trap. "Maybe, but I'm not going to let him die if it turns out to be true." Jaden then relents and agrees to go with Kyle, and hopefully catch up with the others on Korriban.

"Jaden's first mission involves an investigation into a group of mercenaries who are doing some smuggling for the Cult of Ragnos. Upon arriving in Mos Eisely Kyle goes to check out some leads in town, leaving Jaden to gaurd the Raven's Claw and detain anyone that enters the docking ring.

Jaden relaxes, but not for long. Chewbacca, bowcaster blazing, backs into the docking port and nearly bumps into Jaden, whose lightsaber is drawn upon hearing the blaster fire...

After scaring each other to death, Chewbacca asks why Jaden is here of all places. The apprentice explains that Kyle Katarn is investigating a cult that has been popping up all over the galaxy. Chewie explains he was on a special mission for Princess Leia, until he ran into these mercs. Jaden and Chewie join forces to repel their attackers and find out what's going on.

Jaden and Chewie slash and blast their way through the docking port, hoping to get indoors to find cover. When ever increasing numbers of mercs cut off their escape, they fight their way back to their ships. The mercs engage a tractor beam, which prevents the Raven's Claw and Millenium Falcon from taking off. Chewie keeps the mercs pinned down, while Jaden goes for the tractor beam controls. The young Jedi fights well against his deadly foes, and soon finds himself in the docking port control center. There the apprentice confronts yet another minion of Ragnos. But this time, the battle is not an unbalanced fight between trained warrior and novice. With his new found control of the force, Jaden strikes down the minion with ease and releases the tractor beam.

Now back at their ships, Kyle returns, casually stepping over the corpses of the mercs Jaden and Chewie killed. "Oh, did I miss something?" Kyle wryly comments. Chewie rewards Jaden with a crushing bear hug and noogie. "That's high praise coming from a Wookie", Kyle chuckles. He goes on to say that these mercs were well funded. Either their backers are rich... or they're being supported by the Remnant. Kyle asks Chewie to do him a final favor and tell Leia about this strange new cult.

Luke is pleased with the outcome of Jaden's first mission. Even though Chewie was there watching out for Jaden, the student did very well. Luke is rather disturbed by the idea of the Remnant and this cult working together."

"Jaden's next mission seems simple enough. A canny moisture farmer had his R5 record a conversation between some strange cultist in a Cantina. He panicked and sold the droids to Jawas when he realised what he had gotten himself into. Kyle goes off to interview the farmers while Jaden goes looking for the Jawa's sandcrawler.

The "diplomatic" mission lasts all of five seconds. A large raiding party of sandpeople is in the area and begins attacking everything in sight, Jaden included. History repeats as scores of raiders fall under the young saber weilder's blade. Jaden clears out the surrounding town of sandpeople and eventually finds the crawler, which has naturally been attacked by Tuskens as well. Jaden infiltrates the craft, and clears the area of hostiles. In the crawler's junk storage compartment, Jaden finds the troublesome little droid and leads it to safety.

Kyle is impressed with Jaden's performance. Hopefully, some useful data will come from this mission, as the droid's memory is sent to R2-D2 for investigation."

SCREENSHOTS : Sorry, no screenies here. But you don't miss much. Just your average Tatooine canyons, Jawas, Tusken Raiders, Sandcrawler and R5.

"Kyle discovers that the academy transport wasn't downed by laser fire or a system failure, it was as if something physically tore the drives apart...

Back at the Academy, Rosh is getting increasingly impatient and resentful of Kyle. He feels like Kyle is holding him back by sending him on unimportant errants not fit for a real Jedi. Jaden begins to respond to Rosh, but then Kyle enters and gives new missions to his apprentices.

Jaden's next assignment is to deal with a terrorist incident on Bakura. An unknown group seized control of Bakura's main geothermal powerplanet. If any harm comes to the plant, the resulting explosion could easily take out a large nearby city. The Bakurians sent in a counter terrorist team, but they haven't been heard from in sometime. Kyle is onroute to Bakura as well, and Jaden is given orders not to move until he arrives.

Which is exactly what the young Jedi doesn't do. Jaden's decision is the right one though, as the terriorist are actually Imperial saboteurs bent on punishing Bakura for it's treachery against the Empire.

Jaden moves through the plant as only a Jedi can, slaying all that resist. This is made especially difficult by Imperial soldiers with personal cloaking devices. Such technolgy proves to be no match to the power of the force. The apprentice is able disarm the five bombs planted by the saboteurs without incident. The Imperials regroup for a last stand against the Jedi. Jaden is left with little choice but to kill all of the saboteurs. Jaden then leaves the planet, and receives an apology from a tardy Kyle."

"The situation with this "cult" is becoming more serious. They're popping up all over the galaxy, almost as if they're searching for something...

Jaden's next assignment is a total blue milk run... in theory at least. A merchant ship was shot down by Imperials over the planet Blenjeel. Their homing beacon is active and all Jaden must do is pick them up. Murphy's law strikes again when Jaden's shuttle is hit by lightning. Emerging from the ruin, the young Jedi sees one of the merchants, but he is quickly eaten by a massive sandworm. Jaden sets out to scroung spare parts from the downed merchant ship to make repairs to the shuttle. The worms are drawn by vibrations and sound so Jaden is able to fool them using thermal detonators and blaster fire. Using this distraction, and a lot of dumb luck, Jaden is able to sprint across the deadly sand and recover the parts for the ship. With everyone else dead, Jaden departs. Kyle has informed Corucsant of Jaden's discover and the planet will be marked a hazard zone."

SCREENSHOTS : The Wreckage Where did they get their inspiration ???

"Jaden's next excursion to Coreila proves to be most eventful. Kyle and his adept apprentice are dispatched there to follow up some leads on the Cult of Ragnos. As the Raven's Claw descends into the atmosphere, a cargo freighter signals for help. A group of mercenaries are trying to hijack the track and crash it into the city Coronet!Kyle drops Jaden on the speeding train while he flies close air support.

Charging ahead at hundreds of miles per hour, the train is not an ideal location for a battle. Step by step and car by car, Jaden forges ahead, clearing each car of mercenary scum as Kyle blows ships out of the sky. Several disicples of Ragnos are also on the train, giving Jaden a good lightsaber workout. As the young Jedi nears the front of the train, the student discovers a massive bomb that will kill thousands if dentonated. Jaden is able to disarm it, but the mercenaries simply increase the train's speed, intent on ramming into a dock. Sprinting forward, Jaden butchers the remaining mercenaries and is able to stop the train from its control center."

SCREENSHOTS : Attack Getting closer to drop Jacen On the Train

"Luke congratulates Jaden on a job well done. The young Jedi just saved thosands of lives by quick action. Kyle and Jaden return to the Jedi Temple for another breifing.

Luke reveils to the rest of the academy that his data on planets strong with the force has been stolen. The septer Jaden saw is similar to devices in Luke's holocron, which can drain and store the force in its frame. There's no telling what the cultists will do with the tremendous stored energy in those powerful location, so Luke dispatches his Jedi to places strong with the force. Corran Horn is ordered to Wayland, Rosh to the remains of Byss, and Jaden to Hoth."

"On the planet Hoth, young Jaden searches for the location where Luke had his vision of Obi Wan Kenobi all those years ago. He breaks off his investigation upon discovering an Imperial prescence on the planet. Jaden, using a Taun Taun as a mount, rides down all the nearby Snowtroopers like a surreal Medieval Knight. The apprentice slays an aggresive Wampa while exploring an ice cave. Slowly but surely, Jaden fights towards the ruins of Echo Base. Once inside, the young Jedi "deals" with the small Imperial garrison. Once the Imperials are nothing more than steaming corpses, Jaden overhears a Disciple talking with the leader of the Cult of Ragnos. The female wants to know if the data was recovered. Nearly all data was deleted from the computer, but the cultist has found Luke Skywalker's exit vector from the Hoth system. He went to a system called, "Dagobah". There must be something very important in that system for Skywalker to have hid its location so closely...

Jaden, sensing disaster, continues with the mission at hand. The student quickly kills the remaining cultists, along with the rest of the Imperials in the area. And confronts the mysterious Twi Lek called Alora in an old hanger. Alora vows to kill this "saber weilding trouble maker". A fierce duel begins. Jaden and Alora clash sabers again and again, their battle creating intricate patterns of light. With a flurry of slashes and strikes, Jaden beats down Alora and forces her to retreat. With nothing more to be done, Jaden reports back to Luke Skywalker and tells him about Dagobah. Luke is extremely worried that the cultists will steal the force energy from the dark cave, and goes by himself to stop the cultists."

"Kyle on the other hand, goes after Rosh, who is MIA in the Byss system. Jaden wants to go with Kyle, but is told to continue doing missions for the Jedi Academy. Jaden is promoted to apprentice due to the heroics on Hoth.

The first mission seems easy enough. A council of elders on Nar Kreeta when to negotiate a treaty with a local Hutt crime lord. Unfortunately, they have not returned. Kyle, before he goes looking for Rosh, is rather pleased he keeps getting to stay in the Raven's Claw. Kyle is resposible for getting the elders and Jaden out in one peice.

In the Hutt lord's stronghold, Jaden searches for the prisoners. After dealing with a few thugs, the young Jedi finds the controls to release the elders. Jaden jumps down to talk to the elders... which isn't a good idea. A rancor comes around the corner, looking for a snack. Jaden distracts the Rancor while the elders make a break for the exit. Jaden is told there are other prisoners about to be fed to the Rancor, complicating the mission. Jaden carves a path of destruction to the extraction point, allowing the elders to reach the Raven's Claw. To Jaden's horror, the entire place is set up like a sports bar, with patrons taking bets on how long the prisoners will last. A strangely familar blue bartender looks on as Jaden slashes through the bar's criminal scum. After much effort, the other three groups of prisoners are freed, the Rancor is killed, and Jaden falls back to the extraction zone.

Kyle praises Jaden's efforts, although he's sad he won't get to see the look on the Hutt's face when he discovers his prisoners have all escaped..."

Jaden is dropped off by Kyle on Taspir III's landing platform. Kyle will take the other side of the base to help cover more ground. Jaden is truly in a dangerous situation, facing an entire Imperial garrison alone. No one ever said being a Jedi was easy. All across the lava planet, Jaden battles Imperial forces. They hurl themselves at Jaden to block the path to the central spire. Soldier after trooper afer cultist falls to Jaden's onslaught. The journey is especially dangerous, as Jaden must leap the huge lava rivers that seperate each building. After an eternity of fighting it seems, Jaden reaches the main complex. Alora has been waiting for the Jedi there, taunting Jaden about Rosh. Jaden grows increasing angry, threatining Alora and demanding to see Rosh. As Alora leaves, Jaden furiously scythes down the cultists Alora dispatches. Jaden pursues Alora throughout the foundry, felling cultists like nerfs. Finally, Jaden catches up... and sees Rosh.

Rosh seems changed, he seems remorseful and scared. He begs Jaden for help, but this time his friend is not letting him off the hook so easily. Jaden throttles Rosh, demanding to know if this is another trick. Rosh tries to protect himself from Jaden with a container barrier... which Jaden smashes with a massive telekenetic blow. Jaden methodically circles Rosh. "You're always trying to beat me Rosh! Why should I believe you!" Jaden roars. Rosh begs Jaden not to give into anger. Alora eggs Jaden on to kill Rosh and join them, while Kyle tells Jaden to stand down. Rosh only joined the darkside because he was captured and scared of dying. For a long moment Jaden stares at Rosh... when the Jedi's saber turns off, Rosh honestly thanks Jaden for not giving into the darkside. Alora is amused, they tried to make Jaden turn to gain an ally, now she must clean up Tavion's mistake.

Alora, weilding two red blades, leaps down on Jaden like a bird of prey. Each fighter lashes out at the other with all their skill, sabers flashing like lightning. Blow upon strike follows block after parry. With a movement too quick to follow, Alora jumps at Rosh and severs his arm. Jaden flies into whirlwind, hammering and bludgeoning Alora into submission. Force powers wound and cut into both combatants. But the outcome is never in doubt. Jaden strikes down Alora with a final blow, killing the dark apprentice.

Kyle arrives on the scene, swearing upon seeing the horribly wounded Rosh. Kyle hauls Rosh up tries to get him into a bacta tank. He orders Jaden to go meet Luke at the others at Korriban. It's time they finished this once and for all.

Jaden slips past an Imperial Star Destroyer in orbit around Korriban and lands without incident. Outside the entrance to a Sith catacomb, Jaden finally reaches his fellow students. The battle between the Jedi and the Disciples of Ragnos is raging all across Korriban. Luke's team is searching for Ragnos' tomb on the other side of the valley.

Together the three Jedi press onward against terrifying resistance. The catacombs are swarming with cultists and Reborn troopers. For each cultist that the Jedi kill, three more seem to pop up around the next corner. The battle breaks down into a dozen small duels, each affecting the flow of the battle. Dispite the skill of the Jedi, several students are killed. However, Jaden is still able to save the lives of many fellow Jedi. The battle finally ends, although the Jedi that remain are battered and wounded. Jaden continues on to the valley of the Sith... alone.

The fighting in the valley with Luke's team is even more widespread than that in the catacombs. Here, the Jedi are slowly gaining the upper hand, killing at will. With the help of the Jedi, Jaden is able to carve a path to the tomb of Ragnos. It is a massive structure, built in Ragnos' likeness. The remaining Jedi are utterly exhaused after their battle, many having been wounded before Jaden arrived. Jaden continues into the tomb to face Tavion... alone.

Dispatching the remaining cultists with effortless skill, Jaden approaches Tavion. Tavion is busy infusing a statue of Ragnos with all the dark power gathered from a dozen worlds. Tavion mocks Kyle's "good student", saying there's nothing the Jedi can do to stop the inevitable. Jaden with words that truly enrage Tavion. "Kyle told me all about you Tavion! How he beat you and left you crawling in the dust like a worm!" His words piercing Tavion's thin skin, she spits back that Rosh's fall to the darkside, her victory, and Jaden's death will drive Kyle to the darkside, giving her revenge at last!

The fight is the most intense battle young Jaden has ever faced. The young Jedi must split time fencing with Tavion, and dodging the staff's massive energy blasts. The duel rages back and forth across the inner sanctum. But slowly, methodically, Jaden gains the upper hand. After what seems like a thousand cuts, scrapes, slams and shocks, Tavion lies defeated.

"I... will not cower as I did before Katarn!" Tavion swears. She leaps up and slams the staff into the statue of Ragnos one last time. The earth trembles... and Marka Ragnos appears in spectral form. "No Jedi child will undo my return!" the Sith Lord swears. "You will bow before me, Jedi!"

    Jaden grins, "That's Jedi Knight."

Tavion stands in awe, allowing Ragnos to posess her, giving her titanic power. Then gripping the staff of Ragnos, she draws from it an ancient Sith sword. Darkside aura radiating from her body, Tavion attacks Jaden.

The duel resumes again. Jaden is pushed to the brink of defeat by the power Tavion weilds. Jaden draws on the force like never before, each blow crashing against Tavion blade like a malestrom. Jaden wounds, but is unable to fully defeat Tavion. In a moment of revelation, Jaden dives for Ragnos' staff, slicing it in half. The source of his power destroyed, Ragnos is once again banished into the madness beyond death, that is the darkside. "I will return one day Jedi!" the Sith swears, "One day I will return and kill you all!" Jaden glances down at Tavion, the young woman from Dathomir is dead.

Emurging from the temple, Jaden destroys the entrance to the tomb and goes out to meet Luke and Kyle. The Jedi are victorious. When Jaden destroyed the staff, the Disciples of Ragnos lost their force abilities. Those that remain have been captured or killed. Both Kyle and Luke congradulate Jaden on doing the impossible. Jaden explains that when the staff was destroyed, the corruption of the darkside was too much for Tavion to handle. After Ragnos left her body, there was nothing left. The battle over, the three Jedi walk off into the sunset.

In the skies above Korriban, three Mon C

On the JO website, they hint of a "force sensitive girl from Dathomir" who ends up being Tavion. What did you expect? The leather skin showing outfits, face paint and amazon vibe you get from her should be like a giant flashing neon sign saying, "HELLO EVERYONE! I AM FROM DATHOMIR!" ;)

Well, I didn't do one for KOTOR considering how it's mostly likely the lightside ending that will be accepted as canon. The devs of the game say it will probably be the lightside ending too. But if you all bug me enough I'll do it. ;)

Dude, someone should go back and do Jedi Knight. Now there was a great game. :)

I love being dark in that one. IMHO, the dark side plotline, (though maybe not the ending), is better in that one. The way he loses it on Maw, (my favorite Dark Jedi ever), and then Jedi-Bith-slaps Jan Ors right into the Force...AWESOME! [face_devil]

Just bought the game while I was out buying the new Essential Guide and (trying) to buy The Final Prophecy. Thanks for convincing me to buy it guys. It looks sweet! :)

BTW: masterskywalker: I've played Jedi Knight and Dark Forces, but I haven't gotten around to buying Jedi Outcast and don't know anyone who has it, (to my knowledge). Would you say it's worth getting when I am done with Academy? It only costs twenty bucks at my local EB.

No, you only need cd2 for installation. The Dark Jedi ending is great though (so far as it goes). You kill basically everyone, get ultimate power in the Sith staff, and a Star Destroyer to boot. What's not to like?

I don't know about anyone else, but dammit, I wanna fight more Jedi and take out my old Jedi Master! It just left it way too open for my tastes. Hopefully a follow-up game will come soon!!!

It'd be pretty wild if LFL broke form and took the DS ending as canon, as a basis for a sequel.

"The Hunt For Jaden" would make a nice sequel to JO/JA... It'd give everybody the Kyle Katarn main character again too :)

The lightside ending was kinda closed... Jaden becomes just another Jedi and it'd require a whole new plot to be created. Dark side ending makes for a much better sequel.

I'd rather be my own character, rather than Kyle in a sequel. It would be great if you could recreate your JA character if they were to make a sequel and then just start where JA left off. This is how I'd make it: You would be able to recreate your lightsaber/lightsabers, yet you would start off with the basic Jedi moves, but you would be able to improve your Dark Side moves. Luke said at the end that there was always hope for you to be turned back to the light side. Which would be pretty cool to do if you had the choice. But then... who would you fight with your lightsaber, though? You could fight Kyle, of course... but other than him... who would you fight? Dark Jedi trying to take over what you command? Maybe you could fight the New Republic officers and officials or something... I don't know, these are just some of my ideas. What would you like to see in a JA sequel?

As cool as it would be to hunt Jaden down in a sequel...I'm uncomfortable making the DS ending the real ending. Too many students of the Academy have fallen to the Dark Side, and it starts to strain credibility if we see two new ones fitted into the timeline (that we hadnt even heard of until now). Also, how come we havent heard of Jaden's mass slaughter of Academy students until now?

If there's going to be anther installment in the DF/JK series, I'd like it to take place in the NJO era. Maybe something that occurs on the sideline that intersects with the mainstream story. Like this - Kyle and his new student (you) investigate the Vong, which takes place over some missions. Next, you and Kyle are summoned to Ithor. Battle of Ithor. More sideline levels, during which you gain some freedom and learn of a plot, either YV or Peace Brigade. You then stop it, like Uldir and co. stopped the bacta virus plot in the Emissaries of the Void, and while Luke and Kyle do congratulate you, the fall of Coruscant and the missino to Myrkr takes place in the background. You even sense Luke feel Anakin's passing.
