You can't post links to unlicenced dealers, its ok to link us up with a hair person ;)

And Jauhz it does start in front you can see it in some pics like:

It looks to me like the braid actually starts right at the start of the ear-rather than in front or behind.
If you click and look at the pics, you can also see what I was talking about-as far as the difference in texture/thickness of the two padawan's hair. You can clearly see that Obi-Wan's hair pretty much goes straight up on it's own when it is cut so short, and how his hair doesn't lay quite as nicely on the sides. Anakin's hair is gelled/moussed to get it to have some body-but you can see at the root that it doesn't go directly "out" from the scalp, and that his hair lays down on the sides much nicer. This is genetics.
As far as the hair extensions-you can go to any Sally Beauty Suppy or ethnic hair shop and buy the extension hair. Sally Beauty Supplys are everywhere. Check out your phone directory. Almost any ethnic oriented hair salon can also tell you where to buy-because by far they work with hair extensions the most. If you are using it just for the braid-one package of hair will be all you need-plus the glue. Sally's sells it in all colors-browns, reds, blondes, black...You don't need to go through a hairdresser or buy it online. It is out there-you just need to check your area.

    Thanks QS and Primerodo.
I make mine not that far forward, cuz it moves forward, and gets in the way. Mine's hidden behind the ear and it stays put. It loosk liek the pictures though.

It looks like it starts jsut above the ear-but for simplicity's sake, I'll stick to behind the ear :p

Do you think it would be better for me to get a clip on braid or hair extentions. Its for a one off convention.

Probably depends on your current hair situation, depending on your haircut, it could be very difficult to get hair extensions.

That said, while extensions can be barely noticeable, it's a question of whether it's worth $40 to you, just to make sure nobody sees a little clip behind your ear.

I have several clip-on braids available. As long as you have at least 1/2 of hair where you want it to start, it blends in great. I put mine behind my ear, so it doesn't accidentally go in front of my ear. They're available in bleach blonde, goldish blonde, lt. brown, and dk. brown/black. They come long (23"). I cut mine, flat-ironed the bottom three inches, put colored ribbons, and tied the flattened part. I'll probably be selling some on ebay soon. PM me with questions.

Humm sounds good to me. Can you send me a PM hedjedi on how much the braids are?

I found some extenstions and applied them myself.
I must have got an exact match to my own hair and wove it so seamlessly, people as if that's MY own hair.

Or asking "Was your hair actually THAT long??"
I just grin and give it a nice tug.:) They'er THAT secure. Looks like a very real Padawan braid.

I liked how it looked on one side and made one on the other. :-D it looks like what you see in the pictures.

The hardest part was getting the right thickeness of extension hair to match the tickness of hair I had before braiding.
