we now have over a hundred flavors of Purge-survival.

 

Is it just me or is the list of survivors bigger than the list of Jedi actually killed in Order 66? Because if so... fail on Sidious whole revenge plot.

 

Anyone think they can help me dig up my old list of Vader's victims and check it against this, see if I missed any? I love how thorough it is- wish the Vader one was as thorough... *sigh*

 

There are more survivors, so unless Vader uncovers a Jedi enclave in the asteroid field and wipes them all out... Order 66 was such a waste.

 

Why is it arbitrarily decided that the Purge ends 1 BBY? Doesn't it end when it ends?

Vergere- not in the galaxy at the time of the Clone Wars or the purge so she survives. Eventually falls to the dark side and becomes a Sith only to be killed.


And Vergere sacrifices herself, right?

 

And so we have proven that due to lucasarts lack of ability in creating new charators, we now know that Palpatine rode the fail boat and the whole order 66 thing was a massive waste of time.

I have a bad feeling about this...

I would like a book where some of the PT Jedi (of whom there are loads) turn up and explain to Luke why they never bothered to show up and lend a hand etc.

I bet Luke would be none too impressed!

 

The purge ends in 1 BBY because after that the Empire became to involved with trying to put down the Rebellion and they didn't have the time to devote to hunting down the remaining Jedi. They knew of course that there were still survivors but they were too few and scattered to remain a threat.

 

Vergere is up for debate on the whole becomes a Sith thing, IMO, since it was basically second hand information and we all know Sith lie (Lumiya and Krayt).

As for the massive amount of fail that the EU has turned Order 66 into, let's just examine the Jedi Council itself:

Yoda
Obi-wan
Shaak Ti
Even Piell

Am I missing any others? What kind of ultimate revenge is that that at least 4 members of the Council are left alive?? It should only have been Yoda and Obi-wan. There really wasn't any need for it to include Shaak Ti and especially Even Piell.
