Opinions? Thoughts? I thought it was a pretty cool scary movie - not the typical ending, and an interesting storyline instead of your usual chainsaw/butcher knife/done-to-death killer. Does anything think the sequel that's coming out this month is going to be that good?

It looks like it could turn out to be one of those "direct to video" kind of sequels with the plotline they have going, according to the trailer. But it could have some of the spunk the first one had.

This new movie looks exactly like every other horror movie ever made.

A school bus full of stupid teenagers and a few stupid adults breaks down near the killer. How original

 

Jeepers Creepers sucked @$$.

 

I liked the first movie. I was expecting a crapfest like everyone told me it would be, and I got something better. It actually had some good horror moments, like when they're driving past the church and they see the Creeper.

Anyway, I do plan on seeing the new one as I like movies like that anyway.

 

First time I watched the first one I thought it was pretty stupid. Then it gave me nightmares. Now I'm scared of it. There is no way I'll be watching the second one.

 

Though a few of my friends don't concur with my thoughts about it, I liked it alot and plan on seeing the sequel.

 

I thought the first was actually pretty good, until about halfway through. The first half was good, the second half on the other hand, was, well.... I'll see the second one just because I can see it for free. I see everything, now that I work at a movie theater. Hell, I even saw Gigli and Hollywood Homicide.

 

I enjoyed the first movie...just the begginning of the film and then it just went down hill to me.

 

I think one of the best moments in the movie, and probably makes my best horror movie moment list, was when they were being followed by the police, and the song came on the radio. The Creeper showed up and they switch views so you can see it standing on the top of the car.

The second half seemed to get a little weak, especially when they hit the police station. The psychic woman was just an odd point to the script to me.

that movie made me laugh. my friend and i were sitting up at 3am cracking up at its stupidity.

 

I made the mistake in seeing the first Jeepers Creepers, and I will not make the mistake in seeing the second.

 

The beginning and end of Jeepers Creepers was great horror. The middle was adequate, and no to the level of the rest, but the rest of it more then made up. This second movie looks like its made in the way the middle of part one was. I may see it, but I'm not expecting much.

 

JP sucked! What a stupid movie!
I was watching it with some friends, and though we were all drunk, we still didn't like it. It wasn't scary at all. And what a baaaaaaaad acting. Uggh!
Then, near the end, when they went into the factory, I paused, and said guys, get yourselves some more beer, 'cause now the scary stuff begins.
So, we all sat down, ready for the real bloody and scarry stuff. Then 30 seconds later, credits!!!
WTF! Was that actually it?
(I had a great night though!)

In reviews I read that JP was the "best Horrormovie in 10 years", with "great acting". Yeah right!

 

I hated the first and thought it was really stupid. I thought the actors were the typical stupid horror film characters.
but interesting news!

 

Hell, I even saw Gigli and Hollywood Homicide.

How dare you blast a Harrison Ford movie? Hollywood Homicide should never, ever be compared to Gigli.

 

I do not want to see the second one. The first one was so stupid-such a waste of money

 

I have to go with the majority here. A few (very few) parts were decent, but overall it sucked. Wont see the 2nd one.

I just saw Jeepers 2 tonight. I have to say I thought it was worse than Gigli. By the last 30 minutes I was so angry at the film for being so awful. The reason for that is I really liked the father character. I really believe there is a good film hiding inside this one. If Salva had focused on the father's quest to kill the creeper for killing his son I really believe it could have been great. I really enjoyed every scene with the father, except for field. If you've seen the film you should understand why the field scene towards the very end is so ridiculously funny. I really thought Ray Wise was awesome and I wish Salve had focused on his character as opposed to a bus filled with teenagers that are basically just there to die. I also believe this film has one of the best shots cinematography wise, that I?ve seen in a while. There is a profile shot of the father (who else) that is absolutely amazing. It looks like it?s straight out of a Frank Miller comic.

I liked the intro to the film a lot. I thought if the rest of the film is as good as this then I will definitely be happy. Sadly no, it basically goes the way of generic horror film with teenagers dying to loud obnoxious music. This film makes Freddy vs. Jason look like a masterpiece, which it really is. I would go as far to say it?s one of the best horror films of all time. I really hate films like Jeepers Creepers 1 and 2, why? Because both have some absolutely great stuff but the other 90 % (50% in the case of 1) is just awful. That?s why I believe this film to be worse than Gigli, because well, Gigli didn?t even have a single redeeming factor.

Anyways, don?t see this film unless you see it for free. If you really have to see this film convince one of your friends to rent it. Hell, that?s what I did with Little Nicky and Freddy Got Fingered. Thankfully, I work at a movie theater so I did not have to pay, although, I did lose an hour and a half of my life that I would like back.

 

I saw the second one for free as I work at a movie theatre and boy am I glad I did because I would have asked for my money back otherwise.

I didn't find it scary or jumpy or even gory for that matter.

The worst bot in the movie for me was when the boy had a knife in his arm and they couldn't get it out

 

I agree AmberStarbright, that was one of the worst parts. I don't understand it when directors do that, when they create tension for charaters that we have been told to not care about?

I personally thought the worst part was when the creeper lost his leg and his arm towards the end, and well, you know what he did. I hated that so much.

 

Freddy Vs. Jason is clearly superior.

As I came out of the theater last week I was polled by a couple of employees and other people about the movie and I told them this and I still believe it now. The movie was crap overall but it was a lot of fun to watch. I don't know if it was trying to be funny but it turned out that way and that is why I'm happy that I saw it.

 

I haven't watched that because all I have heard is bad things about it

Don't listen to the critics all of them hate movies like these
