    IC: Master Revexen

"Don't be absurd, Beyd. The Sith are defunct. Gone. Destroyed. I do not want to lose the moral of our group to such considerations."

Revexen sighed. It had become increasingly harder and harder to lead the Jedi, each one of them who contented themselves with continuing on their own. It was to be expected, though. Their emotions were running high: they had been put into a foreign land that they did not understand. There was little they could do but calm themselves.

The Master spoke: "Young Beyd, let me inform you of the basics of the force. Every living thing is manipulated by the midichlorians. They are life. So something like a tree is bound to give off minute amounts of energy. Don't worry about it. I'm sure the tree is just having a bad day." He smiled. "Now, I must insist that we move on."

00c: Sowy...I've been away for the weekend, so...yeeeeah, anyways...

She followed behind Master Revexen quietly. Too quiet indeed.

Most Jedi new Jedi Knight Lierka Lunnenoir; she had always been a quiet one, and always looked sad too, but this was different. There was a completely devastated look on her crimson eyes, and she hadn't uttered a sound, not even when someone -she couldn't exactly recall who- had to pop all of the fingers on her right hand back into place, seeing as, thanks to the crash, she had dislocated them all and broken two -middle and ring- she couldn't but thank the Force it was her left hand she fought with.

Still...she was very close to finally reaching a chair on the Council, and she couldn't even braid her hair by herself now, not to mention the horrible pain that struck her from time to time. Did it all matter at all now?

She had been training young Ira Hadrian, and he had been the best of her 2 Padawans. He was strong, intelligent, maybe a little too arrogant, but it got to be funny at times. She deeply loved the lad, who she thought of as a younger brother. He was only 14 for crying out loud!

She smiled ever so slightly, and only for a second, remembering her Padawan, how tall he was, his tan skin and black eyes, his rich voice...it was all gone.

It had been him who had carried his unconcious Master out of the burning ship and stayed by her untill she regained conciousness and complained about her hand. He had held her while someone popped her fingers back. Later he had re-painted all of her tatoos.

Lierka looked down, her pale, slender legs seemed to glow on the scarce light, he had had to cut some of her dress off, as it had been on fire when he had placed her on the ground, the horrible burn on the back of her right leg was proof enough, but Lierka know it would heal with time, unlike her heart.

He had died earlier today, on that damned attack; it kept replaying over and over in her mind's eye: Beyd's warning, she nearly lost balance and deflected a pair of shots, Ira knocked her over from the back, him crying out in pain, his raspy gasping for breath...and the sudden silence.

    Silence.

How it had hurt her ears.

So now, she followed Master Revexen quietly, forcing herself not to limp, not to utter a sound depsite the horrible pain that tempted her to let her deliate body drop to the ground and give in to death, and most of all, trying to think highly of her Padawan, who was now one with the Force...to be joyfull for him...right.

She watched the trees with her beautiful crimson eyes, half interestedly.

If he says it might be the Sith, why doubt him? she thought, looking at Beyd He's the one stronger within that manner now, seeing as his senses are way stronger than ours, having lost his eyes...

She didn't say it aloud though, she didn't feel like talking, putting most of her strenght and will on walking, on remainig concious. Bright crimson eyes fixed on the ground, she felt her braid resting against her ample chest, over her shoulder. He had braided it for her this morning, seeing as she couldn't do much besides taking a damned lightsaber.

She glanced up again, she was getting rather tiered. Silently she brushed her bangs from her face, and, with one last glance to the tree, kept walking.

    IC: Yal;

Yal let go of Beyd's shoulder and shook his head at the mans words, he believed Revenex, the sith where gone for now, yes they may return, but it would not be soon, they could not hide under the noses of the jedi. Yal knew everyone would wonder however, common logic told him this, he did not need the force to realise it, after all everyone always wondered in such situations, which made fiding out who there attacks are even more important, he wanted to know who was behind it, and to prove it was not the sith, maybe a traitorous jedi, but not the sith.

Yal looked around as he walked Lierka Lunnenoir had been quiet indeed, quiet enough for her to escape Yal's notice until just now, he could feel some of her sorrow, knowing not whether to leave her alone or not he walked along for another few minutes debating with himself about what to do, he always did that, which made him seem like he was slow in his decisions, however they where just more thoughtout than most peoples. After a few minutes of arguing to himself Yal placed a hand on Lierka's shoulder.

"Are you alright Lierka?" Yal spoke in an informal tone, he had talked to her once or twice before, which was an accomplishment since they where both rather quiet people, yet Yal could not help but get involved with peoples problems. Who knew if it would turn out to be helpful or not.

Beyd sighed as he looked at Yal.

"I'm sorry . . . I can't bear to keep this from you guys any longer . . . I'm the Jedi traitor . . . I'm sorry," he repeated sadly as he ignited his blade. "But I've got to bring you guys in. Dead or alive."

He advanced toward the shocked Yal.

    IC: Chum

Why, Beyd, why? What have we done to you? And who here is looking for us? I have traveled the galaxy, and I do not recognize these stars. What did you do this for? Money? Revenge? I take it you're not even blind? At this, Chum ignited his lightsabers, and assumed a Niman Jar'Kai stance. Nothing personal, Beyd. But we can't afford this, not now.

EDIT: I had a bit more time on my hands, so I added a bit in.
EDIT 2.0: Fixed "Blind" to "Beyd"

Lierka nodded, ensing for only a moment as he felt Yal's warm hand upon her shoulder; she thought she should answer, a thnakful word...something.

"I'm sorry . . . I can't bear to keep this from you guys any longer . . . I'm the Jedi traitor . . . I'm sorry," he repeated sadly as he ignited his blade. "But I've got to bring you guys in. Dead or alive."

"Dead or alive..." she repeated, stepping forward, as if to protect her fellow Jedi from Beyd "Pff...ironic, eh?" she ignited her own saber, the bright red blade in a deffensive stance "Do not make me, Beyd" she pleased, her eyes seemed to sadden deeper "Please"

"I'm sorry, Master Chum. You were a great mentor to me, but you wouldn't understand my motives if I told you, believe me. My family will die if I do not kill you, now move aside!"

He stepped forward, then saw Lierka come forward as well.

"Oh, come on Lierka, don't make me kill you!" Beyd begged her. "I just wanna bring you guys in alive, okay?"

It was all Chum could do not to throw aside his lightsabers and tackle the man to the ground and rip his head from his body. Beyd, if there is one thing I understand after all my years of traveling the galaxy, it's why people do things. I have seen horrible things done, all for the sake of reasons that made no sense. And by looking at something another way, all of those acts have made sense...I do not like them...but they made sense. And if your family is at stake, if you put down your weapons, we can come up with a plan to save them. No please, Beyd, tell us what is wrong. You say I have been a great mentor to you, and I am touched. Now please, for the sake of your conscience and sanity, please, let me help you once more. Chum dropped his stance, and put his sabers at his sides. He left them lit, as was sensible in clearly hostile area.

Beyd sighed and seemed to sag, but kept his lightsaber in a high guard position, standing only a couple of feet from Chum's location.

"It's not Sith. It's not even a Dark Jedi sect or something crazy like that. It's bounty hunters, Master Chum. They've got my family, and they will kill them if I do not bring you in. They are stationed on the mountaintop to the east, and there are a lot of them. Too many for me to take."

    Beyd's eyes widened.

"Master Chum, you must knock me out. They are trying to contact me through my comlink. If I don't answer and my life signs don't show to unconscious, they'll know I'm betraying them."

Anrious looked at Beyd hard. He paused for a moment, before speaking. "You betrayed us and killed over thirty good men...?" He had a look of pure disgust, yet calm and cool. He ignited his lightsaber. "You have answered my fears, but not my mind. I only hope this will solve the anguished nightmare we're in."

He charged at Beyd before force-jumping into the air. He landed behind Beyd, and attempted to swirl back and, if successful, cut the traitor in two.

    IC: Malaton

Everything was happening a little to fast, and it didn't help that one of their own turned out to be a traitor in their midst. A lot of ill will towards Beyd charged the air around them, and Malaton struggled to hold on to his own center of calm fighting his natural instincts for revenge for those that had perrished so far.

His thoughts were interrupted when he saw Master Revexen leap into action with his lightsaber aimed to cut down Beyd, and without even thinking Malaton ignited his own, and brought his own saber against the Jedi Master before it made contact against the traitor Beyd. A look of remourse wore itself heavily on his facial features, but Malaton was not going to have any more blood on their hands if he could help. Turning to all Malaton spoke with a clear conviction knowing that he was treading on very slippery ground now,

"Master this is not they way we deal with this. Beyd will face trial for his actions it's our code we are not mercenaries or bounty hunters. If you fall to the lure of your anger Master it will only lead to a dark place of thought, and existance for all", Malaton spoke out before turning on Beyd.

He didn't know the Jedi on a personal level, but it seemed that Beyd had grown attached to his family which was rare for a Jedi. His attachment had led to this predicament, and he could no longer be trusted to make any decision with rash thinking anymore.

"Beyd you will answer for the innocent lives that have been lost due to your attachment, and lack of faith within the Order who could of helped you. The only reason I interfere with Master Revexen striking you down is for the reason that I don't want him to fall to the lure of the Darkside which seems to be strong on this planet, and I sense that there is more than what your telling us Beyd", Malaton spoke his tone of voice fluttering between it's calm tone, and one of frustration.

He released his block from Master Revexen's lightsaber, and instead pointed it directly towards Beyd's neck a lack of expression on his face Malaton addressed him once again,

"Beyd for your own safety submit yourself into our custody, or you'll soon find yourself in a run for your life with sixteen Jedi hot on your trail", Malaton informed the Jedi traitor as he motioned for him to turn over his lightsaber.

Things were in motion now that couldn't be stopped, and Malaton prayed that the Force would aid them before any of them fell to a fate worst then death.......

"No," he said simply. "I'm sorry, Master. I cannot do that. I just . . . I had to find my family. You would not understand. When I found them, I couldn't forget. I couldn't just be a parentless person like you other Jedi. I couldn't be a siblingless person . . . I couldn't. And it has made me betray you all."

He swung his saber at Malaton, an expression of regret on his young face.

Beyd's answer shook Malaton to his soul for his former Jedi companion spoke with a sense of love, and his words may have been in most cases true except that there were a few in their group who indeed have knowledge of life outside of the code, and Malaton was one of them.

Malaton found his lightsaber meet Beyd's in a defensive upward sweep turning Beyd's lightsaber away bringing his lightsaber down in a guard position Malaton looked over his blade seeing the look of remourse on his opponents face.

"Beyd you speak in ignorance for the lone fact that I too did discover my blood relatives, and one of them struck down my master infront of my own eyes. I know what it means to know those outside of the Order who care for you, but if you have learned nothing with your time as a Jedi I would hope you understand that the Forces's will rules all, and we do what we must to keep things in order but if the Force wishes for your loved ones then mourn them we must not".......

    Beyd sighed.

"Okay . . . " He began to lower his sabers, but then there came the sound of blaster rifles being fired.

Beyd blinked, shocked, as a bolt slammed into his back and he slumped forward into Malaton and then onto the ground, unmoving.

Behind him stood three dozen bounty hunters aiming their blaster rifles at the Jedi and smiling predatorily.

OOC: Okay, Beyd, I'm assuming your dead now. You can't keep getting blown up and then coming back to life. If you want, I'll allow you to make one more character to keep you in the game. Just PM it to me for approval. And, Darth_Meerkat, no, that's incorrect. I initiated the attack, using keywords such as "attempt" which allows him to block my move and initiate his own move. That is fair gameplay and is not considered God-Modding by most comprehendable rulesets. And if it is, GM'd! :p

Revexen was blocked by Malaton before he could finish his attack. Revexen looked over at the young Jedi. "You will learn you place, young one." He said, with a glance in his direction, but he lowered his saber. Suddenly Beyd lashed out at them, but was shot down by a blaster. Three dozen bounty hunters came, each smiling menacingly. He nodded over to the group of Jedi. "Be on the defencive. Deflecting their shots will be the key."

One of the bounty hunters, apparently not amazingly intelligent, charged at the Jedi firing shots like crazy. Ricocheting everywhere, Revexen yelled for the Jedi to duck. One shot rebounded and hit him, flew through the hapless bounty hunter and hit another one.

"Two down," Revexen said, laughing slightly.

One of the Bounty Hunters raised his hand to signal a temporary truce. He marched forward.

"I am Ikhva Kushac, and I lead this group. We wish to settle this peacefully." he said.

"Peacefully?" retorted the Jedi Master. "I hardly call shooting down our ship peaceful."

"Look, we had a purpose to do this. Our Master will deal with you kindly if you surrender." the Bounty Hunter replied.

"There cannot be an agreement if it puts my Jedi in danger. We are members of the Order, not simple captives to be used as bait."

    "No agreement, then?"

    "No agreement."

"Very well," sneered Ikhva. "We shall leave it to fate to decide your life."

The bounty hunter returned to his group, and signaled them to fire, before disappearing into the forest himself. The blasts came at the Jedi. Sabers were raised high.

    The battle began.

I am just glad to have given the game a whole new arc what with the challenge these bounty hunters represent. I ask that you give Beyd proper funerary arrangements, however, and do not take his lightsaber, please. He's dead, that's enough punishment for the poor guy. Hope you save his family.

    00c: omg...nearly cried...hehehe someone's piseed...

Lierka's sad, calm face had changed; there was a deep haterd and rage on her deep crimson eyes, and a painful lump on her throat.

"You've been enough troule" she hissed as one of the bounty hunters came a little too close, but didn't shoot her; instead he made as if to take Beyd's lightsaber, which had rolled away a few feet when he fell. Lierka's eyes narrowed as she hissed again and dashed forward, in a second the man's hand was lying on the ground as he screamed in agony.

"Step away, idiot, that does not belong to you" she snarled as she kicked his face and viciously dug her blade on his throat.

She stayed where she was, in front of Beyd's lifeless body, not allowing anyone close. With a foot, she pushed Beyd's lightsaber closer to his body.

She wasn't planning on killing the young man, she wanted to knock him unconciouss, and she was more than willing to speak up for him before anyone, and this bastards...

Little by little some hunters fell, but Lierka didn't dare turn to see if any Jedi had fallen...so this bunch of cowards were the ones to blame for Ira's death, and Beyd's...and so many other fellow Jedi...

Should we take any prisioners? She asked through her fellow Jedi's commlinks Perhaps clearing our doubts is, after all, a good idea

She stole a glance at the lifeless body behind her, eyes softening...he had lost his life trying to save his family...and failed.

'I will not' she thought 'I'll help them or I'll lose my life, just like you, Beyd...may the Force be with your soul always, kiddo' her eyes shone affectionally, just as a shot graced her shoulder. She swallowed a scream and deflected a second shot, hitting her attacker on the leg.

OOC: You'll be missed, Beyd! You definately left your character a very mixed reputation.

    IC: Jedi Master Revexen

Revexen send his saber into the torso of an attacking bounty hunter. As the assailant crumbled to the ground, dead, the Jedi looked over at his group. Lierka was guarding the body of Beyd. Revexen was very pleased that she had forgiven the man for the death of her padawan. He would only hope that all the other Jedi would be as forgiving as she was.

The bounty hunters must've realized that they were losing. Many began to take off with rocket packs and get away. The remaining bounty hunters were dispatched quickly.

Revexen sighed, and deactivated his lightsaber. He looked back. Two had died, Beyd and another Jedi. That was three, minus the sixteen survivors. Thirteen Jedi, then. Only thirteen were still alive. Brutus, Lierka, Chum, Roy, Malaton, Rai, and himself made up seven. The other six had mostly sat around in the background.

He looked at the other Jedi. "We must move. Now. Gather all the supplies you can. They'll be back, and in bigger numbers."

The healer tried to fight his way through the crowd. "Let me through, dammit! Let me through."

He came to the side of Beyd and bent down. He put a hand on his pulse. He waited for a few seconds. Nothing.

He took off Beyd's shirt and accessed the wound. It was fatal. Too much blood was leaving the wound. He ripped off part of the shirt and covered the wound. It was the least he could do for a former Jedi, traitor or not. He stood up, and shook his head solemnly. "This one's dead, too. Two Jedi already buried Jedi Knight Haluya. May they rest in peace."
