A/V Just Announced 7 Years Ago: Andor!! It happened!!!

One thing in Legends that I've always found interesting was that not every Senator who stayed on into the Imperial period was a Palpatine buttkisser - plenty honestly believed he could be taken down from within the system.

...and then suddenly they were all out of the job and everyone on a Republic founding world was dead.

tl;dr am wondering if there will be any characters like that in this show.

 

I'm already loving an expansion of Mon Mothma. Be fascinating to see who else they'll bring along. Will Amanda Lucas or Katie Lucas reprise their roles? What about bringing the actress who played Senator Bana Breemu? I'd love to see more of that

 

Those were all just cameo appearances in movies that are 20+ years old now. If they are going to be bringing anyone back I would much rather it be characters that had some importance in those movies.

 

In retrospect, I think ANH gives the impression that the Empire is a bit scared of the senate. Vader himself has to lie about attacking Leia to avoid getting in trouble with them, one of the people at the big meeting is pretty worried about the senate increasingly sympathizing with the rebellion, Palpatine only gets rid of the senate once the death star is operational, and even then most people at the meeting were stunned by the move, with one even questioning it. I think both legends and canon have made the senate more ineffectual than the first movie implied.

(And it is hard to picture the darth vader from his recent comic series giving enough of a poodoo about politics to bother to lie about Leia....)

 

Doesn't hurt to revisit them and even expand upon them.

I hope we see lots of Chandrila, Coruscant, and maybe Dantooine

Huh, I just remember how disappointed I was that Rebels didn't show off Dantooine even after joining the main rebellion, so this would be a great place for it to show up on screen.

 

How did we get to the point that Mon Mothma's wardrobe is the new glamour topic at Comic Con?

...I mean that's awesome, but it's just wacky.

We’ve never seen Imperial Coruscant… which is quite surprising for the capital of the Galactic Empire.

And Chandrila because we have also never seen it, besides being one of the main Rebel worlds (along with Alderaan, but that was barely seen before the Kenobi show either).


Live-action Mon Cala would be cool too

FWIW, as originally scheduled 9/21 would have premiered the 4th episode, so we'll be on behind from where we would have been.

 

Is Stellan Skarsgård supposed to be Garm Bel Iblis?
