Spoiler I definitely see a split in Luthen and Mon's future, presumably Luthen will try to move his resources to Saw's group. Luthen (presumably) wants Cassian dead, so it makes sense that he will end up with Mon, and will be in a situation where he can't exactly knock on Saw's door without Jyn. If it goes that route, I'm curious how much of the network that they've built will Mon be able to hold onto. Luthen has all the connections, but Mon doesn't end up the leader of the Rebel Alliance for nothing. Could be interesting.
Not having been able to watch the new episode so far. Spoiler Are Ars Dangor and Sly Moore part of the dinner guests? Gesendet von meinem TA-1053 mit Tapatalk
Spoiler Beach front vacation worlds are pretty common really - Spira, Iloh, Sesid, Glee Ansem, even pre-imperial Scarif if you believe the lego movies. Though this was film in an English town I believe so a bit less tropical than usual. And the only part we have seen of Zeltros so far is a nice beach though I doubt it is the whole planet.
Really good preparation episode. Spoiler From Cassian still trying to hold onto the belief that he can escape the Empire, Maarda's acceptance of there being none, the monochrome hell of an Imperial office that some right wing politician will want to create in reality, ISB infighting with a conversation that shows up Imperial weaknesses, Mothma's political moves and conflict with Luthen, the effect of careless instructions to droids.... It was all very, very well executed.
Spoiler -After all the talk last time about holding back on the stormtoopers to build them up and using army troopers instead (including from me) it is funny seeing stormtroopers acting as beat cops again. -Though on that note, it is interesting that the guard at Cassian's sentencing was an alien in what looked like army trooper armor. You don't see alien imperials too often and when you do they are usually officers. -Also from that scene, I gotta kick out of the big fans they had in the court room. No future high tech AC here. -I can see why Syril was attached to his old job if this was the alternative. -Ferrix has seasons. Wild.
Spoiler Syril and his cereal. I think I'd skip breakfast if I were him. I like the juxtaposition of the wealthy Coruscanti upper crust with the lower classes. Rebellion fomenting at both levels. At first I was like, is that Armand? But then I was like "that's gotta be Yularen!" That was cool. Spotted a Jedi Temple Guard mask in Luthen's shop. Part of me suspects Maarva told Luthen all about Cassian. She was sounding an awful lot like Luthen and Mon Mothma when she was going off to Cassian.
My favorite episode to date (feels like each episode just gets better and better). Spoiler -- We got something like over 30 minutes of Coruscant content this week I think? Absolutely delightful -- That bureaucratic ministry was hilarious. Very WEGish -- I'll have to rewatch to see if it's actually familiar. -- Loved seeing the halls, bridges, and just general evidence of regular life. Seeing public transit on Coruscant is fantastic. -- The ISB's coercive measures are appalling but it's very interesting that Luthen wanted the Empire to react harshly on purpose. Shades of the Coercive Acts + the modern security state apparatus -- The Mon Mothma party scene was absolutely sublime -- I am thoroughly amused that she talks about how everyone assumes she's a milquetoast centrist but actually she's not. Will we see that the "real" Mon Mothma is the firebrand we remember from Legends?
Perrin probably didn't invite him after Bail made a hilarious joke at some stupid thing Perin said. Come to think of it, Mothma's husband and Bail's brother in law would probably get along famously.
Senator Pooja Naberrie of Naboo? actually wait — that’s not a joke, I do actually want to see her be a senator in canon.
So, anyone for joining my prayer circle that Mas Amedda shows up (if only as a cameo) before the end of the season? Anyone? Anyone? Jello?
So far every mention turned out to be for a later appearance... just wait for it! I mean, I can't wait till the Rakata appear! Nah, he rather will buy some Holocrons at Luthen's gallery. Now that visit would be glorious, Royal Guards and all. Imagine Mon Mothma's speeder approaching in the background and veering off after realizing that. PS: Am I the only one that gets Handmaiden vibes from Kleya? She has something familiar about her, generally well cast and probably had been a runner up for many other roles look-wise.
Given that we've seen the Grand Vizier namedropped twice and that there are some Senate clips in the trailer that we haven't seen yet, I think there's a high chance there's at least one big Senate meeting at some point and it's likely that Amedda presides over those rather than Palpatine. So there's a chance...
Just saw that apparently the most recent episode had apparently the first on screen appearance of a female stormtrooper, which is pretty cool! But it also triggered a memory for me, I swear there was some legends comic probably from the 00s that had a female stormtrooper in a somewhat prominent role.. Anyone know what this could be, or am I just making it up?
Wasn't there a female stormtrooper on-screen during the "checkpoint" sequence in episode 3 of Obi-Wan? One with a female-sounding voice, at any rate.
No -- the first on screen appearance of a female stormtrooper was TFA, and the person whose tweet you posted is the actress who played said stormtrooper on TFA. I think what's happening in the screenshot is that she's tweeting her role on Andor. And the comic you're thinking of is Legacy.
Wonder if they will take all the stormtroopers played by this actress and make her one trooper with a very long career.
