Taylor's too old to play Ezra now in this timeframe, really, and so is Tiya. The other two, yeah, I reckon so.

I'm not really sure if "too old" is a concern any more in the age of de-ageing. Digital touch-ups are common anyway even aside from the Marvel Effect. Whether Disney will want to spend bucks on de-ageing a couple of voice actors purely for fanservice is another matter, but the potential and the means are absolutely there.

 

I disagree completely. They both look young enough to play teenagers.

I hope we see more of Tivik, Cassian's friend he was kind of forced to gun down on Kafrene. Even if it's just one episode.

 

He could be the Kenny of the series, and gets gunned down on every single mission Cassian goes on.

 

Danny Mays would probably be up for the work too.

 

That's on you for setting expectations, not the book.

I guess that's true. I seem to recall Freddie being rather vocal about the fact that he wouldn't feel comfortable portraying live action Kanan partially because of his age and may have just written the possibility off for that reason. I'd like to see it, personally.

Also, I kinda forget what kind of budgetary stuff gets done for prestige-y live action shows because I watch so few of them. The look of these shows with what's going to be put into them is probably going to shock me a bit, although I guess I'll have previews to get me used to it.

In all seriousness, I wasn't expecting a Cassian Andor series, but I'm glad we are getting one.

 

Has it been mentioned yet that this shows means there is at least a possibility we could get a Qi'ra show led by Emilia Clark that explains what happens post-Solo (featuring, of course, Ray Park in at least a few episodes, most likely). Because it seems like in retrospect that's something that they might definitely be doing.

 

They need to introduce Xizor. Get some crime syndicate war going between Black Sun and Maul's Crimson Dawn. Show Maul's downfall, and the rise of the Empire backed Prince Xizor.

 

More for The Mandalorian thread but Katee Sackhoff's age and Bo Katan's age lines up almost perfectly that I'm basically expecting her to play the live action version.

 

Any Bothan on screen... is a dead Bothan.

 

Looks like we almost got that in Rogue One.

 

I mean, plenty of TV shows "de-age" actors with wigs, makeup, and hair dye for flashback scenes or episodes all the time--Better Call Saul is built on it. It doesn't have to be entirely convincing if the story is good.

I wish this was coming before the Mandalorian, personally. Cassian is possibly my favorite character since the Disney purchase so I am absolutely over the moon about this. And yes, so many guest stars could appear.

I'm hoping for more Tivik because I really dig that actor, but pretty much anyone from Rogue One, Rebels, Solo, Aphra, etc. woul be great to see.

 

Genevieve O'Reilly hardly looks four years younger than Caroline Blakiston but I haven't seen a single person care.
