I had no memory of this character at all. I always struggled discriminating between the identical clones and droids in TCW, I never really even considered the idea of different tactical droids having unique personalities.

Since he was the first STDever seen on screen, he left quite an impression (on me at least) when he straight up killed King Rash

I wonder if the fact that Kalani killed Rash without Dooku saying "Kalani, terminate Rash" forshadows this episode.

So according the Rebels Recon, we may see Kalani again. He knew the odds of the rebellion winning right now were low, but the odds will look a lot better once the rebels blow up the first Death Star, so if the show goes past ANH like some people have been thinking, we could see him again.

My guess is he won't show up in Rebels again, but we might see him in a book.

Im curious to see Saw Guerra's reaction when he sees Kalani again in rebels. To Saw, he's the guy (or droid) in charge of the separatist occupation of Onderron, who tortured him for locations of his rebel cell, and also being responsible for her sister's death (not directly, though).

He could pop up in the Finale on the side of the Rebels as part of the anti-Imperial CIS remnant that still exists , wasnt there Vulture droids in a trailer for Season 3?

As much as I'd love that, I'm pretty sure those were just Mandalorian fighters. They do look kind of similar to the vulture droids, though.
As much as I'd love to see how characters like Saw would react to Kalani, the Rebels Recon kind of made it clear he seemed against joining the Rebellion until they proved they stood a chance against the Empire (ala in ANH). Which is kinda sad, since admittedly I'm a huge fan of Kalani, despite him not doing anything too impressive in his appearances, even in the TCW where he wasn't dumbed down (how a super tactical droid could not realize that the Republic and the Empire were the same thing 15+ years later until Ezra brought it up is beyond me).

You're probably correct about the ships. I don't think Saw and Kalani would ever see eye to eye though, things would have to be really forced and watered down in Disney fashion imo.

If they were adamant on Saw and Kalani seeing eye to eye, it'd definitely have to be watered down, especially when the Saw we've seen in Rebels is so focused on avenging Steela. The second he knew Kalani was involved in helping Rash take out him and his sister's rebels I doubt Saw would want to do anything other than try and scrap Kalani. And seeing how in Rebels Kalani gained a bit of a personality and pride to act as a foil to Rex (which I'm still a little...iffy on as I'm not sure what experiences he could undergo to get such development if he was stuck on Agamar for who knows how long), had it not been for his encounter with Ezra and co. he'd probably want to take out Saw too, to finish the battle of Onderon on his own terms. Though with him satisfied with the 'end' of the Clone Wars in The Last Battles, he shouldn't see Saw as an enemy unless Saw actively tried to harm Kalani, instead logically considering him either a neutral party or a possible, if unstable, ally against the Empire.
I maybe one of the few people in the Star Wars fandom who would be A-Okay with a Kalani novel or brief excerpt in a comic that goes into his time before or after his encounter with Ezra. :p
