I mean if it was only from neck down of course if it shuts down she may not be able to breath properly alone (IRL it depends of the type of injury and which vertebrae is touched I think) and then die but the person should not loose consciousness immediately so (takes a while to take away all the oxigen from the blood) so that’s what it seems to me. Wonder what her accident was…

 

I’m assuming that since this is a show aimed at kids and given she was going to survive, they probably didn’t want to go too deeply into how suddenly or horribly her death would be.

 

You are probably right!
I just thought it looked like she “powered down” exactly like a droid would do when rebooted or taken offline and I was wondering if that was intentional and hinting at something more together with “total system shutdown” used as a synonym of dying.
But we will see! Probably as you say it was done to avoid going into details about what would happen IRL I such a situation!

 

Wym saved her life. The stakes of that scene were clear.

 

I was scared for KB and afraid Wym would make a mistake

 

It was nice to finally have the young actress playing her given a scene to go "beyond" the mechanical.

 

Would she actually die...or if he augs shut down is just completely immobile...with a functioning brain in a non-functioning body?

I think that was one of the central tensions of the scene, which is why it was a brilliant writing decision to pair up KB and Wym for this specific moment.
