I am fairly certain she never removes her helmet. She is cooler when she does not remove her helmet. This to alot of the OT generation is what Boba should have been and thats fine. I think doing it as much as they are doing it could tire that out. We are lucky we even got a naked eye of phasma. Am sure JJ was like ewwww.
I have to agree with what Kerri said during that long 30 min cast interview, that they don't make movies like that anymore, referring to the original cantina scene. It was in a different context, and was said positively towards TROS, but I mean the comment in general is one that I always come back to when watching old SW. Another example is Alien. There's simply no way, or at least a very slim chance, in capturing that old magic. The closest SW has gotten is RO and Mando. I believe the latter is the way to go as it's actually writing new quality chapters that fit the previous ones instead of re-reading old ones.
https://www.empireonline.com/movies...ckie-s-jannah-and-keri-russell-s-zorii-bliss/ Abrams wrote a script for Speed Racer. (April 28, 1994): https://uproxx.com/movies/quentin-tarantino-j-j-abrams-speed-racer/ There's a character named 'Trixie': 'dark flip hair, enormous, beautiful eyes'. The 'Speed' character is in love with her. Looks a bit like Poe, and a bit like Han Solo ('I want to be the greatest racer in the world'). Also, 'Speed' has a disfunctional family (his own words). Then they part ways. Trixie: 'Ten years of friendship and all I get is 'keep in touch'? Edit. Just read some more. This other character, 'Racer-X', is Speed's brother. There was this drowning accident (again, Ordinary People), and he was declared dead. He survived, but changed. It had started before the accident: 'a woman wearing almost nothing promised me things. Introdcued me to some bad men and they promised me things. Pops [their father] pushed me farther and farther away from him and home and closer to some mysterious world of luxury and maybe I was hypnotized and maybe I was brainwashed and maybe I was just a horrible son'. Then he becomes some kind of spy. 'In the spionage world, family is a weakness'
Loved the character and design. Especially her intro meeting with Rey and then showing up at the end to fight. I could see a comic or Disney + spinoff coming. and Keri Russell looked good in the suit. God bless
I understand why it wasn't practical, but wish we'd seen a lot more of the character (metaphorically)!
I thought this character was a silly and pointless addition to the movie. Simple as that. The movie was overstuffed to begin with, and this is one (id say obvious) thing that shouldve been on the chopping block straight up. I will say, however, her costume design is terrific.
She was there to show a different side of Poe like Jannah was there to show a different side of Finn.
I think her whole role could've been given to Babu Frik and expanded his beyond being a droidsmith. If Rio Durant can fly a AT-Hauler, surely Babu Frik could've flown an A-Wing?
Her helmet was a Star Wars version of a hijab, all she could show Poe and the audience was her eyes, lol.
Yes, not every character has to have a plot defining role. She gave a glimpse at Poe's past. Lots of style. Loved her
Not changing her aesthetics at the last second, I would think? she will remain be this tough, mysterious woman in a golden mask for us now. I really liked her, felt like Keri Russell exuded confidence as Zorii.
