I would only like it if we could see...in just only ONE episode...Luke, Leia, Han, Chewie, Lando, R2, and 3PO all together again.

ONE EPISODE. Then it would all be worth it.

    But I know...I know....dream on.

    That's called "February sweeps." :)

Hamill has been doing lots of TV voice work, so him actually appearing as Luke from time to time on the show isn't out of the realm of possibility. As mentioned, Ford did appear as Indy in a cameo once on The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles. Fischer should be up for it as well. Mayhew appears as Chewie whenever he can. Same for Daniels as 3PO. Don't even need Baker for R2, but it would be nice to give the guy some work. And I have no idea what Williams has done post-Colt .45 commercials.

I'd say that it definitely isn't out of the realm of the possible for this reunion to happen.

Luke appearing in the series on an occasional basis would serve as a good link to the OT while also allowing new characters to drive the story forward. Just because the actors are 30 years older than they were in ANH doesn't mean the story has to be 30 years after the Battle of Yavin. A little make-up, some hair dye and you can have stories taking place 5, 10, 15 or 20 years post-ROTJ that include these actors portraying their original characters. I'm still pulling for a "Rogue Squadron" series with the occasional guest star from the OT and EU.

And doing this series wouldn't have to contradict the EU, but could put a different perspective on the events that take place in it (sort of like how "I, Jedi" was Corran Horn's viewpoint of "The Jedi Academy Trilogy.") Thrawn trilogy? Dark Empire? How about as seen through the eyes of the pilots of Rogue Squadron? Not only that, you have all the Rogue and Wraith Squadron material to draw upon as well. Battle for Coruscant. Ysanne Isard. Lots of great possibilities for events and villains.

    Just something to chew on.

I'd like to see the story take place about 20 years after ROTJ and focus on two young Jedi Knights who usually travel together. They could perhaps be the first two to become 'Knights' produced by the Jedi Order led by Luke. They are knights and travel around without guidance, but occasionally seek Luke's council similar to how Obi-Wan goes to talk to Yoda and Mace.

I haven't paid much attention to EU, but I believe Leia and Han had 3 children, two of whom are twins. Those kids could be the young Jedi. These young Jedi, no matter who they are, should exhibit a more free-spirited attitude than the old Jedi Order. Plenty more sarcasm and smart-alec Han-like banter between them and ultimately more likeble and relatable characters than the stuffy jedi of the PT. They should even take some liberties that are questionable, but always prove ultimately that they are truly good.

The episodes could begin with the two taking their Jedi trials to become knights. Luke of course, would appear heavily in this 'pilot movie.' Afterwards the two could go off to eliminate Imperial remnants or any other random stories. It could even be like a "Kung Fu" type thing kinda where they travel around solving problems.

I hope they do something like this. And, as I've said, despite my loathing Kevin Smith, I think he'd be good for this. He's a HUGE fan. I think that's important. He pays as much attention to the details of Star Wars as WE do (which is way more than Lucas himself.)

^^ I wouldn't say no to a Jacen/Jaina show, whether it take place either before NJO or after NJO.

Of course, if it was post-NJO, that would mean no more Chewie, which is a shame because Peter Mayhew is definitely someone you can count on to agree to do a cameo or two.

All I can say is OMG. This is the best thing since I bought my first boba fett action figure when I was young.

Why? Because, not only do we get one of the best writers in the biz, but we get Luke back. HOW SWEET IS THAT!?!?!

Hey... if it sucks(Which it possibly could) ... we go on our merry little way and live with NO MORE new SW. (Except for crappy books, comics, etc.)

But, if it is good... we score bigtime.

This could totally redeem GL for the Holiday Special!!! :p

I thought that ESB, RotJ, Episode I and II, Raiders, and many other films made up for the Holiday Special. How many times can he say that he's sorry? How much more do you people need? ;)

I'd like to see a main character that's a Jedi female (human, alien--whatever, but female). I'm glad Lucas has all these female Jedi, but they're no main characters that are Jedi and female in the PT. That really sucks, and it's kinda unfair I haven't been able to see a female in a Sith/Jedi lightsaber fight.

So, there's another suggestion for characters.

Listen whether you like Smith or not (if you don't like his movies, read his comics), he's a big fan. A real fan. Not someone who complains about every change to Star Wars, not someone who complains about the PT. He simply loves Star Wars no matter what. When he saw the trailer for Episode III he was just as giddy as you or I were. When it came out on DVD, he wasn't upset that Greedo shot first, or Hayden was at the end, he was HAPPY they were on DVD.

We need someone who LOVES Star Wars despite its flaws. A real fan, and Kevin Smith is just that...

hey folks, just passing by and looking for news. somebody mentioned cameos in the TV show and Billy Dee Williams... the last time i saw him on TV was on "That '70's Show" where he played a preacher giving eric and donna wedding advice related to Star Wars. so it seems he's still up for some TV appearances. i know i'd love to see more of Lando. he seems underappreciated outside the SW community.

Carrie Fisher, along with the majority of the OT cast would most likely return if given the chance. Harrison Ford on the other hand there's no chance of seeing him doing a SW return unless he was paid a great deal of money.

    Ciao!

Maybe I'm wrong on this one but for some reason I remember Harrison Ford saying that if GL asked him to he might play Han Solo again simply for continuity. I remember reading this like two years ago. I could be hallucinating though.

I think the odds of Ford doing anything more than an occasional cameo are far greater than 3720-to-1.

    ^ lol Howwww appropriate ;)

Anyway, if Ford will suit up as a geriatric Indy, why not Solo? I'm just afraid that if that ever did happen, Ford would insist on top billing, executive producing, a hand in the script, and the TV show to be called: "Solo Wars."

If this proposed new TV show truly comes to light, there is a poissibility that it would be like the comic series, Star Wars Tales.

In otherwords, like Trek, or varied sci-fi shows, MANY different writers would get a shot a writing their take of good Star Wars.

In that, Hamill and Smith teaming up with a return of Luke Skywalker in mind is all fine and proper to me.

I hope its true. For all of Smtih's bluster, swearing and talk of drugs, the man had a creative mind that can go just as serious as it can camp.

    He might surprise you.

Jacen and Jaina Solo would be wierd but welcome. We would mostlikely get Cameos from Luke and Lando but Leia or Han would be doubtful. I myself say that the main character be on a ship with a rogue like Solo and it should be a newly created Jedi charcater.

Dude, I love Kevin Smith and I'm a big fan of his ... BUT I worry about this because he has a hard time finishing what he starts. I've read some Marvel Comics series' that he started but never finished. The stuff he does finish is great, but I've read that he's backing off of his Green Hornet movie project and all of that indicates a bit of a trend. True, I'm sure he has good reasons for not finishing certain projects as we all do (paint the fence, put up a basketball hoop, re-wire the house, etc).

If he were my good friend or I had a chance to say something to his face, I'd say this: "Kevin, put all of your heart, soul, focus and time into this TV show and it will rule. Your talent and knowledge will make this fly and fans will love it. Use the Force and NO d*ck and fart jokes."

Can you imagine if he bails on this holy grail of a project. No, no way, I won't even think that because he's too smart and too big of a fan.

BTW, several of his movie take jabs at Star Wars including: Ewoks, ROTJ better than TESB, Greedo shooting first and JarJar. So yes, he nitpicks as much as any of us ... and he puts it in his productions!

Ha! That's exactly what I was thinking. I mean, in the cartoon, Lucas was put on trial for The Phantom Menace, accused of writing it in a weekend, and forced to return the price of admission to Randall. Smith is a SW fan no doubt about it, but this is hardly a ringing endorsement for the Prequels.
