    Thanks :)

Feel free to change and add on to paragraphs. Some parts I wrote were a bit rushed.

I'll start posting the Taris section soon, but as it's quite long I'll post till about the middle part of the section and you can continue the second part. Hope it's ok with you.

Sounds good KOS! Would you mind PMing me when you update if you notice the new date is not in the heading? Usually I catch when you update when I check before work, if you notice I'm behind please let me know! :)

Ok, I?ll PM you for the title update if a few days pass, though it won?t matter much if the title isn?t updated with the section. I usually post about two days after the current readers post.

    Hello again.

I'm sorry that haven't been around for the last few weeks, Things have been rather hectic for me.

Anyway, before I start writing again I need to ask one question which will have to be answered before the story is over. How is Niol going to adapt when he learns who he is? I can see atleast two possible choices.

A: He will accept the fact that he is Revan, former Dark Lord of the Sith, and reconcile with his past? Or will he start a new life as Niol, Jedi knight, and shed away his past. Personally i prefer the former, but thats just me. What do you guys think?

Oh and by the way: You guys have done a great job.=D=

I'm sorry that haven't been around for the last few weeks, Things have been rather hectic for me.

    No problem :)

I think we?ll follow the ?Niol keeping to the light side and battling and killing Dark Malak? storyline.

I know that in the game it?s the player who chooses if he wants to keep Revan good or evil, but it would be a bit sad if we wrote Niol to just kill the other starmap-seekers, then kill Bastila and Malak on the starforge and become Dark Lord of the Sith.

We?re using the Timetales summery of the game as a guide for the story, and fortunately that follows the ?light side path? of Niol.

Of course this doesn?t mean that the story will be too plain sailing for the good characters. Carth would be extremely angry when he learns that Niol was the Dark Lord and it would be a great shock for Niol. Also Bastila goes to the dark side, though she?d be turned back to the light side towards the end of the story.

Or will he start a new life as Niol, Jedi knight, and shed away his past

Not exactly, he already was a Jedi in the game (and this fic), then he turned Sith. He became a Jedi again when the other Jedi wiped out part of his memory.

Oh and by the way: You guys have done a great job

    Thanks!

You misunderstand me. When I said for Niol to accept the fact the he is Revan, and for him to reconcile with his past, I did not mean for Niol to return to the Dark-Side. I meant that he would take up his true name, and continue his life as he probably would have had he not fallen to the Darkside. I guess in the end the question is this: What will our hero call himself at the end of the story, Revan or Niol?

Oh, sorry. Yes, I misunderstood you. I never thought about that. I always imagined that Niol (or any other name the player inputs at the beginning of the game) was his name before he fell to the Dark Side and became Darth Revan, so the Jedi gave him that name again.

But I was wrong because I just checked the Timetales summery and Niol?s name was Revan, even before he fell to the Dark Side. Also, after he?s told who he really is Niol is referred to as Revan.

We haven?t decided if in his thoughts he either

    1) Decides to reconcile with his past, accept that he was Revan, and then reflect that it was good that he was captured by the Jedi and given a new identity. However, he will prefer that he?ll have his original name now ? Revan.

    2) Start a new life as Niol, Jedi knight, and shed away his past

Revan's (or Niol's) thoughts could be described when he escapes from the Leviathan (with Carth, Selena and HK-47) Either option we choose, he?ll keep to the Light Side although, at first he?ll be sad, maybe a bit angry at the Jedi because they didn?t tell him the truth.

It makes no difference for me which we choose. Both are interesting. We'll see what opinion the other co-authors have on this, and decide.

    Welcome back Revan! :)

I think I like scenario #1 the best. That sounds so intriguing to have him reconcile his past and integrate it into who he is now. I think he should retake the name Revan, but just my vote. ;)

I have an idea for the next section. I have to start typing! :D

    Right, we?ll choose 1.

Darth_Revan agrees with this as well?.He will accept the fact that he is Revan, former Dark Lord of the Sith, and reconcile with his past? Or will he start a new life as Niol, Jedi knight, and shed away his past. Personally i prefer the former, but thats just me.

It would make the conversation during the final duel between Revan and Malak quite interesting.

I have an idea for the next section.

    Looking forward to reading it.

I?ll be posting less frequently from now on, because I?ve got less spare time. However, I?ll keep up with this story as best as I can.

Hope you have fun tangled_sphere. :)

I just thought that it?s better to avoid including the idea in the first summeries at the beginning of the thread of the Wookies/ (or Twi?leks) recognizing Niol as Revan, and being unwelcome to him, because I just realized that this takes places in the section before the last, with the Rakata species.

You're right I don't want them to recognize Revan. I really don't want that to be revealed until Malak tells him.

Are you going to take some time off KOS? I have some new stuff written and I'll post in the next few days. I'm sorry I've been gone so long. :(

I will really miss writing with you. Good luck in your endeavors. I've enjoyed reading your works like Feudal Space, such heroic characters. I've enjoyed working with you. [:D]

I hope we can do this story justice without you. It definitely won't be the same. I can definitely understand the business of life and doing this.

Best of luck! And if you ever come back, you have a reader here for whatever you write in the future.

I don't know if anyone will ever read this, but I have a part of the next section. I was going to have more of Carth, Niol, Bastila and Selena next going after the star forge.

    Next part...

Darth Malak moved across the ship at his captain's summons. His presence seemed to dwarf his subordinates, not only in height, but in the sheer power and control he exuded.

Nervous glances moved with his steps as he arrived at the holo screen. "What is so important, Captain?"

"M'Lord, you asked specifically to report on any new arrivals to Kashyyyk." He moved aside and pointed to the screen. "I thought you would be interested in this."

Several humanoids on the tape began descending the ramp of a ship, a twilek and one droid.

"Stop the tape," Malak demanded suddenly. The captain froze the movement. A female Jedi was captured in midstep on the screen.

Malak's hand unconsciously moved to his formed metal jaw, anger flickering through the force as he observed the female and each of her companions. They will be in for a few surprises. The future was beginning to form with certain crystaline clarity.

"I want that female Jedi brought to me. Use whatever methods necessary but I want her relatively undamaged."

"Yes, M'Lord," the captain said nervously, motioning to his lieutenant.

"And Captain, set course for Kashyyyk."

The future was changing. Powers ebbed and waned, but the darkness was beginning to take its hold on the galaxy. The Jedi female was the first step towards complete mastery. The future molded and shaped under his will and at the moment, Malak could taste victory.

Bastila looked at the star map tracker, the meaningless symbols almost seemed to mock them. So close, and yet so far,she thought. Niol was right beside her, looking over the information and digesting it with disturbing speed. He had HK stay at their start point to help guide them and to access planetary information.

"I see where we need to go," said Niol, looking into the dense forest before them. "I know Jolee said this would be relatively easy, but don't underestimate the Sith."

Carth shook his head, both he and Selena coming up behind the two Jedi. "Believe me buddy, if there is anything I've learned on this mission it is not to underestimate the Sith." He nodded to the tracker. "So can you tell if it's nearby?"

Niol shook his head. "It's difficult to say, but we are on the right track."

Selena glanced nervously at the dark shadows between the trees. She shouldered her blaster and watched for movement in the growing dusk. "Are you sure this is a good time to be going?" she asked. "Whats so important about this 'starmap' anyway?"

Bastila turned, shouldering her pack to ready herself for the trek ahead. "It means everything, Selena. It gives Malak and the Sith unrestrained power through the Force. It is an abomination that was created eons ago for the power of good, but in the wrong hands..."
Bastila stopped. A shudder of fear went down her spine and she had the feeling she was being watched. She looked over her shoulder, but the forest was as quiet and foreboding as ever.

"I think I understand," Selena said simply. "I'm glad to help out." She smiled at Carth warmly. Friendship was a new concept but one that definitely had its own rewards.

"We're glad you're with us," said Bastila. "We're going to need all the help we can get."

Niol motioned them on. "Night is settling in, we had better be on the move."

The group began their trek, a Wookie made path wove around the forest floor. The shielding from the upper branches of trees made the darkness seem absolute. Powerlights were activated and they moved through the trail, watching the tracker expectantly.

A sudden movement made Niol spin around to his side. A large explsion in the path made them all duck down and take cover.

On all sides, Sith Troopers began encircling them. They had been outflanked and outmaneuvered.

    "Trap..,"Carth muttered to himself.

Selena without even missing a breath, had sprung into action. Bodies began falling as her deadly aim took her victims with each shot. Selena paused only briefly to pick up a certain item she spied from one of the bodies. Carth began covering her from behind as they both dropped behind a downed trunk.

Niol and Bastila, with the Force controlling their reflexes, moved away from the explosion and immediately blue and yellow began to flash in the darkness. Bastila ignited her double lightsaber and let her instincts guide her into battle. Back to back Niol and Bastila fended off their attackers.

"He wants the female." The words both chilled and made Niol wonder as he overheard the Sith troopers that surrounded them. I have to get Bastila out of here. Niol stepped up his attack, and motioned Bastila to enter the depths of the forest as he held the Sith back.

Bastila nodded understanding, and began to move back, hoping Niol would soon follow. She moved instinctively as blaster shots followed her. They were definitely set for stun. As she wondered this, both Carth and Selena had joined her and moved back into the cover of the forest.

Selena held out her hand, and revealed in the dim light, the shiny outline of a thermal detonator. "Get Niol out of there," she entreatied Bastila.

    Niol, move back.

Bastila gave her the nod, and as soon as she released the object, the ground around the Sith exploded into a chaotic fire that shook the trees around them with a deafening roar.

Bastila reached out for Niol, not realizing how devastating the explosion would be. She panicked when she couldn't feel his presence...

I blended parts of this section in the Leviathan section?.

Darth Malak moved across the ship at his captain's summons. His presence seemed to dwarf his subordinates, not only in height, but in the sheer power and control he exuded.

Nervous glances moved with his steps as he arrived at the holo screen. "What is so important, Captain?"

These are the changes I made to this part in the Kashyyyk section?.

Bastila looked at the star map tracker, the (meaningless) symbols almost seemed to mock them. So close, and yet so far,she thought. Niol was right beside her, looking over the information and digesting it with disturbing speed. (He had HK stay at their start point to help guide them and to access planetary information.)

"I see where we need to go," said Niol, looking into the dense forest before them. "I know Jolee said this would be relatively easy, but shadows of Sith presence still haunt these forests.

Selena and Carth came up behind the two Jedi. "Believe me Niol,? Carth said, ?if there is anything I've learned on this mission it is not to underestimate the Sith." (He nodded to the tracker. "So, is the starmap nearby?"

Niol shook his head. "It's difficult to say, but we are on the right track." ?removed this as the location of the starmap on Kashyyyk was established earlier.)

Selena glanced nervously at the dark shadows between the trees. She shouldered her blaster and watched for movement in the growing dusk. "Are you sure this is a good time to be going?" she asked. "I hope this starmap is worth the trouble.?

(changed this slightly so that it would be in order with the conversation in the wookie tavern)

Bastila turned, shouldering her pack to ready herself for the trek ahead. "It means everything, Selena. It gives Malak and the Sith unrestrained power through the Force. It is an abomination that was created eons ago for the forces of good, but in the wrong hands..."

"It?s good to have another warrior on our side,? said Bastila. "We're going to need all the help we can get."

Niol motioned them on. "Night is settling in, we had better be on the move."

The group made their way along, a Wookie path that wove around the forest floor. The shielding from the upper branches of trees made the darkness seem absolute. Powerlights were activated and they moved through the trail, watching the tracker expectantly.

I?m going to apply this battle to the Leviathan section as it was said that their were no Sith living in the forests since th

The complete Taris section is in this post and the following ones....

    PART 4

    Leviathan

In his small rusty ship which he used for normal capturing missions, Calo Nord approached the Leviathan Sith Cruiser. He was quite battered up from the previous fight against the Krayt Dragons.

He docked into a hanger, and after the large door closed behind him sealing off the vacuum, he opened the transparent hatch of his starship and leapt out.

Sith Troopers rushed in with their heavy black rifles.

Darth Bandon strode forwards, followed by two Sith Generals

?So, is the job done?? Bandon demanded.

?They slipped out of my grasp on Tatooine? Calo replied slowly. ?But there won?t be any mistakes the second time.?

Darth Bandon looked on in stony silence. Calo Nord backed up slightly as the unspoken threat came up to his throat. Calo grasped part of a breath before his throat became tight. He brought his hand up to his throat trying to pry apart the force that threatened to take his life. Calo came to his knees and looked up at his superior pleadingly.

?There won?t be a second time," Bandon said, looking disgustedly at Calo. "You?re not working for the Sith Order any more! Get off this Cruiser, and be thankful to be leaving it alive!?

Calo Nord rose from his feet coughing as the invisible vice was released around his throat.

Mad about the threat and that he was being talked at in this tone, but not daring to oppose the Sith, Calo Nord turned and quickly climbed back into his starship. He dared however to give a glare at a Trooper. Then activating the engines, he turned his ship.

The door of the hanger opened, and he flew back into space.

?If I get my hands on those Jedi and their companions again, it?ll be the last of them,? he thought.

Back in the Leviathan, Bandon spread a map showing part of the galaxy on a table and examined it.

?Sir,? a General said. ?Shall we inform Lord Malak of this??

?No need for that now,? Bandon replied, still looking at the map.

?If they were on Tatooine,? he continued. ?They?ll be heading towards Kashyyyk next.?

He turned to face the Generals. ?Double the Sith fighters patrolling the main galaxy routes, and send more Troops to Kashyyyk.?

?Consider it done,? one of the Generals said, leaving the room. The other followed.

Bandon looked out through a window, into the blackness of vast space. ?Well,? he thought. ?If you want a job done, you?ll have to do it yourself.?

With that he strode off through a corridor, and walked into a hanger. He got into his Sith fighter, and left the Leviathan, heading towards Kashyyyk.

    Silver Eagle

The Silver Eagle emerged from Hyperspace to cool down the system and recharge. Carth sat back as Niol strolled to the bridge

"Why did the Order send just two Jedi on a critical mission that could spell disaster for all the Republic?" Carth asked.

"They said that they wanted to keep this campaign as secret as possible, and that the fewer people involved, the better,? Niol replied.

?Seems like the Masters want to keep away from trouble and let others do the dirty work for them,? Carth said bitterly. ?I?ve seen many battles, I know what goes on. When balancing out things, it?s the ordinary republic soldier that suffers the most.?

?A Jedi Master trains his whole life to protect it, mastering the inner demons and freeing themselves from doubt and fear,? Niol explain to Carth. ?In battle they fight with a clarity of thought and inner peace of mind, body and soul unmatched even by the Sith. It is a hard road for all of those who try to become Jedi to see what they see and feel what they feel. Many Jedi never progress beyond Knight or Adept.?

"That's all the more reason to have a Jedi Master on this mission. If we fail, the galaxy will belong to the Sith."

"A Jedi Master would attract the Sith. Unlike Bastila and I, a Master eludes control. Even a Sith padawan can tell a Jedi Master. It is our chaos of thought and inner conflict that keeps the Sith off our backs, that ke

There was a cantina in Lower Taris. It was only a short distance away and the group found it rather quickly. It was called Javyars and it was filled to the brim with all kind of folk.

Niol, Bastila, Carth and HK-47 entered.

There were humans in rags, most of them miners who continued to carve the borders of the city, hollowing out homes. There were a group of sad looking geonosians at a table playing sabacc. These insectile aliens with transparent wings folded behind their backs were very unhappy to be away from their homeland and cursed the day they had decided to travel to Taris.

There were also depressed individuals looking to drink themselves full until they forgot all their problems, and criminals of every kind nursing on their drinks after a hard days work of illegal activity. A gang of swoop bikers, a human, three dugs and some other alien which species? Niol didn?t know sat at the barman?s table. They laughed and talked about bikes, tracks, victories and every possible way to cheat in a race.

Oddly enough, a cheerful blue female Twil?ek stood in a corner, near a brown furred Wookiee with a black bowcaster at his back, and explosive quarrels fitted into a strap that slung across his chest.

?Better be careful here,? Carth said in a soft voice walking ahead. The friends sat at a table, and a small droid with a wheel instead of legs came up to them. Niol ordered three glasses of mead which were brought soon after.

Bastila eyed everyone carefully, wondering who would have information about how to enter the Sith Stronghold in the land above.

Suddenly two drunken Rodians were seen stumbling towards the blue Twi'lek. Before either of the Rodians could speak the Twi'lek spoke with a tone of annoyance. "I thought I told you me to leave me alone! So give me some space bugeye! Your breath smells like Bantha poodoo!"

The lead Rodian replied in slurred huttese "Little girl should not be in bar. If little girl smart she run home!" The young Twi'lek retorted with several insults. The lead Rodian hissed menacingly "Little girl needs lesson in manners!"

Niol and Carth stood to intervene but that was soon proved to be unnecessary. The Wookiee who had somehow managed to remain unseen during the exchange suddenly rose and picked up both Rodians by the throat, roaring as he did so.

The Twi'lek said with calm amusement "As you can see, any problem you have with me is a problem to my good friend Big Z. So unless you want to deal with my furry friend, I suggest you greenies hop on out of here."

The Wookiee now known as Big Z, dropped the Rodians, who quickly speeded out of the cantina. Then the Wookiee and Twi'lek went back to eating and conversing as if nothing had happened.

The star map seekers looked at the odd duo with awe. They all gave each other a silent nod, hitting upon the same idea as they did so. Bastila suddenly stood up and made his way towards the Wookiee and Twi'lek.

?Hello,? the Jedi said in a friendly manner.

?Hi,? the Twi?lek said politely. Zaalbar grunted. He didn?t like strangers much and only trusted his Twi?lek companion.

?Rough lot those Rodians,? Bastila said, to initiate conversation.

?Not too rough for Zaalbar here,? the female humanoid replied. She nodded towards Niol, Carth and HK. ?You?re new here aren?t you?? she then said. ?Had troubled in the Upper City so you came to this area??

?Had trouble all over the galaxy,? Bastila thought, but looking at the Twi?lek she replied briefly, ?We crashlanded on this world. We?re trying to get off now.?

?Oh well,? the blue Twil?ek said. ?Many are. So are Big Z and I. Only a few have managed to do so. And that was before there were a few space ships still around.? She paused. Then asked, ?What?s your name??

    ?Bastila,? the Jedi replied. ?Yours??

?Mission,? the Twi?lek told her. ?Mission Vao. And this is Zaalbar.? She pointed at the Wookiee.

?Would you care to join us?? Bastila asked inviting her to where her friends were.

Mission nodded so she and the Jedi walked over to the table and

The passageways that made up the sewers of Inner Taris were indeed complex. The adventurers followed their guide, Mission along narrow corridors and around corners. The blue Twi?lek seemed to know the way well and lead them on confidently, with Zaalbar trudging by her side.

Dripping water echoed all around. Sometimes a ray of light shone from below through a crack in the ground. Niol was a bit confused for a moment, "Oh," he then thought. ?Of course, the streets of Lower Taris must be far down below here.?

So they continued through this bleak middle world ? a mass of gigantic concrete dug out into passages. They were soon in pitch black. Mission however kept walking on as if she had known the place all her life.

They walked down three steps and arrived in a flooded chamber. ?We have to swim through? the Twi?lek said. ?We?d be close to the basement of the stronghold once we reach the exit.?

The others nodded. Then Carth said, ?What about my armour? I can?t swim with my armour.?

?You?d have to leave it behind then,? Bastila replied.

The Republic Captain unbuckled his bronze armour and placed it on the ground. He didn?t say anything, but he seemed quite unhappy about it.

?What about HK?? Niol then asked. ?He?s made of metal. He?d sink like a rock in water.?

?Aqua-propellers are installed in my feet,? the Droid replied. ?I assure you I will be able to follow you.?

?We can go then,? Mission said. She swam into the water, took a deep breath and disappeared below. The others followed through the claustrophobic area, grappling at cracks in the walls to pull themselves through the water.

Selena swam on, seeing the Wookie and the Twi?lek ahead. Looking above she saw that the water touched the very top of the ceiling. ?This passage had better end soon,? she thought.

Suddenly she saw a tentacle slither out of murky shadows. It reached outwards and coiled around Bastila?s leg.

The Jedi was jerked sideways. Startled, she reached for her lightsaber, but another tentacle sprang out and grabbed at her arm. Panicking, Bastila tried to twist away.

Selena swam to help her. She tugged at a tentacle, trying to break it loose. The Bounty Hunter saw Niol and Carth swimming quickly to release Bastila from the creature?s clutches.

Carth thrust his blaster into a tentacle and shot. It recoiled away. Selena half uncoiled the other tentacle and Niol ignited his blue lightsaber and slashed through it.

The creature moved forward and was suddenly visible. It had huge jaws and narrow eyes. It lashed at its nearby prey, furious that it had been injured. The humans tried to escape from the lashing tentacles, which swarmed around them.

HK-47, Mission and Zaalbar arrived. The droid and the Twi?lek aimed their blasters and the Wookie held his bowcaster. They shot laser into the hideous creature?s face, till it backed away and disappeared into a large crack in the wall.

This delay frightened the invaders, as they soon needed oxygen fast. Except HK of course. They followed their Twi?lek guide, swimming as fast as possible and passed through a broken metal grating into a wide pipe.

When they got out of the other side, they looked up and were relieved to see an area with no water. The humans, aliens and droid darted upwards and burst above the water level, gasping for breath.

?What was that thing?? Niol asked.

?Don?t know,? Mission replied looking at several holes in the wall to make sure she remembered the one through which they had to pass. ?It wasn?t here when we were here last.? She turned to the Wookie, ?Right Zaalbar?? Her furry friend growled and nodded in agreement.

?Those vile Sith probably brought it and left it to roam and guard the sewers,? Carth said bitterly, keeping afloat as he looked around.

?Anyway, thank you for helping me,? Bastila said, talking to all but facing Selena. Suddenly she remembered how she had been harsh with the Bounty Hunter and felt a bit uneasy about this now.

Mission and Zaalbar crawled into a hole in the wall and the others move

This post contains the 1st part of the Kashyyyk section...

    PART 5

    Kashyyyk

Darth Bandon descended towards the forest world of Kashyyyk in his fighter. He activated his radar and was astonished to find that there was only one Sith base beyond the large forests.

Last time he was here, the Sith had conquered the whole planet. The warrior headed towards the base and landed onto a star-ship platform.

A commander and white-armoured troops marched up to him and bowed in front of the superior Sith.

?What?s going on here?? Bandon asked.

?Jedi came,? the commander replied nervously. ?We fought a few battles and in the end decided to head into these open grass plains for?er?strategic reorganization.?

?Strategic organization aye?? Bandon said. ?More definite to say you lost and retreated.?

    The Commander didn?t say anything.

?Well, get all soldiers ready,? Darth Bandon continued. ?We have to scout through those forests, seek a group of people, take one of them prisoner and kill the others. Direct orders from Malak.?

?There?s a Jedi camp not far off. They?ve got knights guarding the forest border.?

?Then we?ll fight the Jedi first,? Bandon said impatiently. ?The Sith recruits which I sent arrived didn?t they??

    The Commander nodded.

?Right. Then we outnumber the Knights. Now prepare for battle.?

The Sith commander nodded again and left.

    Ebon Hawk

The Ebon Hawk was a good space vehicle. It had a powerful engine and the inner rooms were quite spacious. Carth had already worked out the route to Kashayyk, which left little to do during a jump. While transiting in normal space there was always someone watching the controls and hazards. Autopilots were nice, but Carth was an old salt in space and preferred someone at the controls. The ship had asteroid-detectors and an alarm would beep if one of these ship-crushing rocks would be obstructing the Hawk?s path.

Niol did not stray far from the cockpit, watching the light of hyperspace as it brought them to their next destination. Bastila watched him, occasionally sitting with Carth and Niol and other times resting in the back. She noticed Niol had been very quiet since the battle on Taris. Perhaps he was focusing himself completely on the next task. But she could feel a sense of dread in his aura that disturbed her.

?We?ll be there soon,? she said quietly over the hum of the engines.

?Not soon enough,? said Niol, almost to himself.

?The fighting has been constant,? Bastila reflected. Carth was now back in and she plopped herself down exhausted, in the pilot?s seat. ?We?ve had a lot of close calls.?

?Yes,? Niol said, ?I didn?t think we?d make it out of that last fight.?

?But we did.? Bastila smiled. ?I guess we make a pretty good team.? She noticed Niol?s mouth twitched into a partial smile as he glanced over at her.

HK-47 wheeled into the cockpit, obviously fascinated by the weapon?s systems as he moved through out the Ebon Hawk. ?This is not as sophisticated as the Sith carriers,? HK said reproachfully. ?We should have chosen another ship.?

Carth spoke up, "She's fast and handles like a fighter... though a large fighter... with several hundred tons of additional mass that is."

Niol spoke. ?It?ll get us there, HK. Don?t underestimate the older technology.?

?I don?t Master meatbag. But I am always prepared for a fight and I must know our capacity.?

?I feel so much safer with you here,? Bastila said sarcastically.

HK seemed to catch her inflection and whirled his head towards her. ?You should female meatbag.?

Bastila remained silent as HK finished his assessment. As he walked out, Niol spoke. ?At least he?s good in a fight.?

?Definitely needs a reprogramming in the ?personality? areas.?

    Niol actually smiled this time.

The next few days seemed to pass slowly. Hyperspace travel occasionally had some turbulence that sent a few of the crew to the head for motion sickness. There was something foreboding about their destination, not just the usu

The continuation of the Kashyyyk section...

Bastila looked at the star map tracker, the symbols almost seemed to mock them. So close, and yet so far, she thought. Niol was right beside her, looking over the information and digesting it with disturbing speed.

"I see where we need to go," said Niol, looking into the dense forest before them. "I know Jolee said this would be relatively easy, but shadows of Sith presence still haunt these forests.?

Selena and Carth came up behind the two Jedi. "Believe me Niol,? Carth said, ?if there is anything I've learned on this mission it is not to underestimate the Sith."

Selena glanced nervously at the dark shadows between the trees. She shouldered her blaster and watched for movement in the growing dusk. "Are you sure this is a good time to be going?" she asked. "I hope this starmap is worth the trouble.?

Bastila turned, shouldering her pack to ready herself for the trek ahead. "It means everything, Selena. It gives Malak and the Sith unrestrained power through the Force. It is an abomination that was created eons ago for the forces of good, but in the wrong hands..."

"It?s good to have another warrior on our side,? said Bastila. "We're going to need all the help we can get."

Niol motioned them on. "Night is settling in, we had better be on the move."

The group made their way along a Wookie path that wove around the forest floor. The shielding from the upper branches of trees made the darkness seem absolute. Powerlights were activated and they moved through the trail, watching the tracker expectantly.

Suddenly, Niol found himself being tugged at from behind. He turned but there was no one there. The pulling became stronger, and he fell to the ground, seeing Bastila being dragged roughly across soil and falling leaves by the same evil energy.

Carth, Selena and HK-47 rushed toward the Jedi, but it was too late. They were plunged into swampy grounds and pulled into the mud.

?No!!? Carth yelled, falling to his knees.

?A Dark-side trap,? Selena said, her voice quivering.

?Who would have thought that two so brave would die in such a manner,? the Droid said.

?I will not believe it!? the Captain shouted.

?Carth, the Jedi are dead,? Selena said softly, ?accept it.?

The Captain did not reply. He spent two more minutes looking at the spot were Niol and Bastila had disappeared and then turned away.

Carth, Selena and HK were still determined to stick to the mission. So, saddened by the apparent death of the Jedi, the trio continued moving on, towards the starmap.

The ground got boggy in some areas, which made traveling slower. They got onto more solid ground, and walked for two more miles before stopping to rest for the night.

They hadn?t talked much. Carth was still bitter about the deaths of the Jedi.

    Meanwhile?

But the Jedi were not dead. Not yet.

Niol and Bastila fell into blinding damp darkness. The roaring waves of mud took them further down and down, like a never ending waterfall.

They finally hit into pale green mud, and felt a strong sense of Sith magic all around them.

?Where are we?? Niol asked, spitting muck out of his mouth, and looking upwards towards the sinister cavern with mud and blackness running unnaturally across the walls in every direction and blending into the green pool that covered the floor, sending ripples hissing along the surface.

?These forests were ruled by the Sith before the Jedi came,? Bastila replied. ?The Sith were defeated, but I guess their evil still endures in some places. This is a Dark Side trap and we Jedi were trapped due to our Force-Powers.?

?Batter start searching for a way out then,? Nio

    PART 6

    Leviathan

Sith General Saul Karath moved across the ship. His presence seemed to dwarf his subordinates, not only in height, but in the sheer power and control he exuded.

Nervous glances moved with his steps as he arrived at a holo screen. He saw Darth Bandon?s starship dock into a hangar in the Leviathan and the Dark Lord stroll out.

Bandon arrived at the main deck, and was greeted by Karath. Bandon briefly told the Sith General what had taken place on Kashyyyk.

?Darth Malak will be coming to this space station soon. We must capture the Jedi called Bastila before he arrives,? Bandon insisted.

?Fear not,? Saul replied, ?this space vessel has a tractor beam strong enough to haul in a star cruiser. If we can reach the system of Kashyyyk before the starmap seekers leave it, we will easily capture them.?

Saul turned and nodded commands to nearby Sith. Darth Bandon went to his chamber, made contact with the Devastator and told Malak what was going on.

The sublight drivers of the Leviathan glowed and the vessel flashed towards Kashyyyk.

The Ebon Hawk was suddenly pulled out of hyperspace, and pulled towards the Leviathan, whose tractor beam waves had spread all over the Kashyyyk system and would haul any space vessel present.

?Oh no! Now we?re truly finished,? Bastila said as the small ship was engulfed by the enormous cruiser.

Sith Troopers stormed into the Hawk. They surrounded its occupants, disarmed them and led them out.

Darth Bandon and Saul stood, smiling evilly at their captives.

?Saul!? Carth roared and rushed towards him. But Troopers grabbed him by the shoulder, punched him in the stomach and shoved him back near his friends.

    ?You know him?? Bastila whispered.

?He?s the Sith General who ordered the attack of my village,? Carth replied. ?My parents are dead because of him.?

?Well?well,? Saul said in an icy tone. ?Republic Captain Carth Onasi.?

    ?I?ll kill you,? Carth yelled.

?It seems that I have the opportunity to return that favor,? Saul said drawing his blaster and aiming at Carth.

?Not now,? Darth Bandon told Saul. ?Lord Malak will want them for questioning.?

He looked at the Sith troopers, ?Take them away,? Then, ?wait, that Droid may be useful. Take him for reprogramming.?

So Niol, Bastila, Carth and Selena were locked up in cells, while HK-47 was led to a room and a new program uploaded into his circuitry.

Darth Malak?s black starship docked into a hanger of the Leviathan. The Sith Lord walked out, and Sith Troopers saluted as he passed by them.

Darth Bandon greeted his Master. ?I have good news,? he said. ?The star-map seekers have been captured.?

?Bring them to me,? Malak said.

Bandon nodded towards four Sith Trooper, who left immediately to follow the Dark Lord?s orders.

One of the Troopers opened the cells and the prisoners were led out.

Selena exchanged glances with the Jedi. Carth prepared for the fighting ahead. They were unarmed, but there were only four Troopers, unlike the previous situation in which about twenty Troopers had surrounded them.

Bastila flipped over, kicking at a Sith as she did so. Niol rammed his elbow into the neck of another Trooper. One of the two other Sith raised a blaster, aiming at Niol, but Carth shove himself into him, so that the laser beam missed the Jedi and hit into the metal floor.

Selena tripped another Sith. The Sith that had been kicked by Bastila, ignited his lightsaber and lashed forward. But Bastila smartly sidestepped his blow, and grabbing his wrist hard, she gave a twist so that he let go of his saber blade. As it fell, she force-pulled it into her grasp and plunged it into the Sith.

The Sith who Niol had attacked moved two paces backwards and raised his blaster to finish off the Jedi. But Niol somersaulted out of the way, and approaching his foe, he knocked his blaster away.

The Sith punched Niol in the face. In protection, Niol raised his left arm as the Sith?s right fist came again. Then the Jedi grabbed at his opponent?s shoulder

    Meanwhile?

Niol and Bastila were making their way along a stairway. They reached the upper floor. It was unusually silent. They crept further on and through a darkened rectangular room, with tapestries portraying ancient Sith Lords.

They walked on towards an opening on the other side of the room but before they could pass through it, an energy beam flashed on, blocking their way.

The two Jedi Knights turned around and saw that a similar energy beam was activated, blocking the room from the corridor they had been in previously.

The lights went on, and a sinister laugh sounded.

Darth Malak and Darth Bandon walked out from behind a large control platform.

?Finally,? Malak said, his icy voice echoing all over the room. ?We meet the mighty Bastila.?

He turned to Niol, ?good to see you again. I see you have a new lightsaber.?

The words thumped into Niol?s brain like laser. ?What did he mean??

?Cut the talking,? said Bastila, afraid that Niol was now close to knowing the truth and not having any idea how they could escape from the clutches of the Sith. She kept her lightsaber firmly in front of her as a double beam.

Malak ignited his long bladed red laser sword, and Bandon whirled out two short stabbing lightsabers, activating them as he did so.

Niol rushed towards Malak and swung his blue blade in quick lashes. Malak easily parried all blows and then attacked with vicious strikes. Niol lowered his blade for the Sith?s blade to hit upon it, and quickly moved it sideways to receive another blow.

Darth Bandon attacked Bastila with strikes that moved like lightning. Her eyes on both weapons of her foe, the Jedi blocked the deadly blows and tried to get a jab into the Sith. But Bandon swung the lightsaber in his left hand, pushing Bastila?s laser sword downwards.

Niol swung his lightsaber slanting sideways, for Malak?s red blade to clash upon it. He kept steady on his feet as he tried to push his enemy?s laser sword away. But at that moment the Sith Lord let go of his lightsaber, and raised his hands to direct blue glowing lightning into the Jedi.

Niol was taken by surprise and was flung backwards in pain.

Malak force-pulled his laser sword back into his grasps. ?I?m sorry,? he told Niol. ?It is not my intention to hurt you. I never believed that you would survive after what you?ve passed through.?

A cold fear crept into Niol?s heart. ?What? What do you mean?? he asked in a small voice.

Malak laughed a horrible laugh. ?You mean, you still haven?t understood?? he asked.

    Meanwhile?

Carth knocked down a metallic table and took cover behind it, shooting away at Sith Troopers in front of him, and hearing red laser flash past him.

HK-47 directed a grenade into the passage from which they had come. Troopers screamed as the grenade exploded and flames consumed them.

Selena ran sideways, her hyperblasters spinning rapidly as she directed laser into Sith rushing into the room. Bodies began piling as her deadly aim took victims with each shot.

Two lightsaber wielding warriors attacked her, deflecting her shots. Carth, from still behind the table shot at large marble statues, making them topple over one of the Sith.

Selena leapt upwards to avoid the saber strike of the other one and directing one of her hyperblasters downwards, she pulled the trigger and blew out the Sith?s brains.

HK-47 cleansed a doorway from Sith by propelling two grenades forward and the three fugitives were on their way past flames and corpses, down another passageway.

    Meanwhile?

Bastila was worried. She overheard the talking as she tried to concentrate to prevent Bandon?s quick moving stabbing blades from piercing through her. The Jedi force pulled metal boxes from a shelf towards Bandon, to try and slow him down.

But the Sith sensed the flying boxes. With two sideways lunges of his right blade, he sliced them in half before they could touch him, while jabbing his left lightsaber forward towards? Bastila?s neck.

The Jedi raised her yellow blade, pushi

    PART 7

    Ebon Hawk

Carth set the Ebon Hawk on autopilot so that it moved towards Korriban. He left the cockpit and went to the main living room were Revan and Selena were, quite exhausted from their previous fights against the Sith. HK stood at the doorway.

The Republic Captain noticed the sad look on Revan?s face.

?We?ll locate the Starforge and go back for Bastila,? Carth told the Jedi.

?It isn?t just the imprisonment of Bastila which troubles me,? Revan replied. He looked at Carth and Selena. ?I have to tell you something,? he said slowly.

?What?s bothering you?? Selena asked, recharging her chain laser gun as she talked.

?I?m Revan,? the Jedi said. ?The Jedi partly blocked my memories but Malak revealed the truth, and made me remember everything.?

Carth looked at Revan amazed. He couldn?t believe that the Jedi who he trusted most was once the leader of the Sith Order ? the organization responsible for the death of his parents. The Sith. The people he hated most.

He stared at Revan, unable to say anything and after a few seconds left the room.

Revan felt a pang of guilt and a tear trickled down his face. Selena tried to comfort him as best as she could.

The Bounty Hunter and the Jedi shared a similar history of past dark deeds.

Later that day, Carth went back to the living chambers of the Ebon Hawk.

?I?m sorry about my previous reaction,? he told Revan. ?You must understand that I dislike anything that has to do with the Sith. But what was once evil in you is gone. The fact that you didn?t give in to Malak?s taunting proves this. We have trusted you this far, you have not lead us astray.?

    ?Thank you Carth,? Revan replied.

The Hawk flashed towards the world of Korriban.

    Leviathan

Bastila was tied against a wall in the torture chamber of the Leviathan.

?The Jedi tricked you into going for the starmaps,? Malak told her. ?They know that there?s no stopping the powers of the starforge now.?

?You lie,? Bastila told the Sith Lord, trying to sound bold.

?See how they repaid you for helping in the victory over Talson VI. They sent you on a hopeless chase,? Malak continued

?Your words are poison,? Bastila said.

Malak immediately directed blue lightning into the Jedi. Bastila cried in pain.

?But together,? Malak continued. ?We would be invincible.?

?You?re wrong,? Bastila said softly, remembering Master Vendar?s teachings. ?I?ll never fall to the Dark Side.?

Malak raised his hands and more lightning shot into the young Jedi.

Again Bastila cried aloud, trying to hold back tears.
